They have great gluten free dough here for those with sensitivities, best i've had. Have only dined in once before. But we've had delivery over 20x the past few years. Stan's Pizza is currently the only pizza place for us for delivery. We order pizza about 6-8x per year. We have never had anything negative when dealing with Stan's. Even on a prime time dinner order on the weekend, they can get the pies to you house in 45 minutes. Usually it's around 30 minutes on other nights. We've never had a mistake on a order. Drivers are always friendly. Pizzas arrive hot from the oven. The pizza are way above average......always. We've tried lots. Our favourite is 3 large, two toppings on each for $36. That's a full dinner and lunch the next day for the four of us. This order can easily feed 6. read more

Stan's Pizza: The spectacular underdog of pizza joints. I love this place. I've said it before and I just said it again. This place is awesome. The food is consistently delicious and packed with flavours that make your mouth go, "HOLY SMOKES!" Seriously. Just order one of their pizzas and you'll know what I'm talking about. They load every order of pizza with freshest toppings, the dough is fresh, not oily and acts as a perfect balance for the amount of stuff piled on top. Service is quick, the servers are witty, and there are HD televisions located throughout this little hole-in-the-wall. They offer daily drink specials, the atmosphere is cozy, and makes a great spot to catch a game. Best pizza ever! It really is. Okay wait, I should say that they are best REGULAR crust pizza ever! I should not be eating wheat, but this place is worth it. We've been twice in the past month: once with my girlfriend to meet her boyfriend and once with my husband because I was too lazy to cook. While I agree the service is lacking, as long as I get a pizza, I'm okay. The setup of their restaurant is weird. They have two dining areas separated by a dead space that is the underneath of a staircase leading up to the 2nd floor of the building. It's confusing because both sides have a door, but only one opens. So many people don't see the arrow pointing to the other door... When you walk in, you have to walk to the back to find the staff... they are usually in the kitchen or at the bar. There really isn't a hostess station. So what... gimme my pizza. We had the Hawaiian the first time and then the Mad Greek the next. Both times they were loaded with toppings. The crust is really good. No need for dipping sauce here. They are usually pretty fast... they seem to be churning out a lot of pick up orders. There's a real Stan. Our server (who also mans the phone and takes our order and brings us our pizza and our drinks... wooh, she does a lot) was saying he does the deliveries. If it was in my hood, I would probably get take out so I could drink this with a can of coke. They have fountain... and I think it's pepsi. read more

I ordered the Special Combo for a b-day party and everyone loved the pizza, thank goodness:-) The girl on the phone was super polite taking my big order, and the delivery guy was also really polite and cheery, considering it was a Saturday night. Our fav combo was the chicken, bacon, and mushroom pizza. You really couldn't ask for better pizza-- it looked absolutely delicious just sitting in the box! Decided to try this joint based on the reviews here. Ordered 2 medium's to take out (1 vegetarian and 1 pepperoni / shrooms) for $26.00. Ingredients: very sparing and not enough. I hope they didn't hear our request for extra cheese. Crust: a bit too doughy. Taste: average. Didn't taste bad, but no different than a domino's or pizza hut. Service: they turned around my order in 20 mins (ordered at 6pm) which was great. But waited 8 mins to pick up as they were busy at the time. During the wait, none of the waitress will ask you if you need anything or are here to pick up. This might be policy where only the guy in the pick up window helps..even if he's tied up. Price: thought the price is ok. Not cheap but not expensive. Repeat: probably not. read more

Pizza is 4 stars, but the wings and customer service brings the rating down. 4 of the wings were so small, that they were literally skin and bone. I called them and when I addressed how disappointed I was with some of the sizes, they asked me to count how many small ones I had because they would only replace the small wings. Another time I stopped to eat a few slices out of the pie I just bought on my way out, and took a seat at a vacant seat by the door. A man then came and asked me to leave as they are for carryout guests only. I expressed I felt that was unfair after spending over $30 and there being only 2 occupied tables in the whole restaurant. He then said I could stay for another slice, and proceeded to watch me as I ate. Not exactly the overwhelming customer service that makes one stay, however there cheese bread and spicy Hawaiian are both great. read more

Stan's Pizza hooked us up with sooo much pizza for our short film 'The Magic Ferret' last weekend. We had a cast and crew of 40 + people who were tired and hungry after a long day on set. The pizzas arrived piping hot and they managed to accommodate all of our crew including vegetarians and even cheese/ dairy free pizzas! Yum. The 'dessert' pizzas were a huge hit, sweet pizza bases with drizzled chocolate and cinnamon and an amazing dipping sauce. Would highly recommend and will be ordering again from Stans for a night in on the couch! read more

The service is okay. The decor is a pub style, so don't expect comfort. The price for food is reasonable. The pizza crust has more of a crispy texture to it. This is a very filling pizza; they're generous with the toppings and the crust is thick 'n robust. They're tomato sauce was underwhelming, but that is just my personal tastes. I live nearby, and I love this place as my local bar. Game nights get a bit loud, but I'm not a fan of loud tv's in any place. Not sure what the big deal is. Tried this place as it is a local eatery and we had driven by for years. Came on a quiet Wednesday night (November 30, 2016) and service was extremely slow and inattentive despite only 3 tables. The waitress apologized for having us wait 15 minutes to order (without explanation) but then it took another 35 minutes to receive our pizzas. No problem, we can be patient. But when a regular customer walked in with their two children not only were they seated immediately and their orders taken immediately, the cook came to greet the regular client and told them their pizza would be ready in six minutes. Needless to say the table that arrived 30 minutes after us were served two plates of pasta and two pizzas before we had seen our order. Testament to a non-existent back of house order system. They clearly just do whatever the hell they want. We also ordered the Thai chilli chicken wings. When it eventually came they were pretty sad looking. Ten wings for eight dollars but these were tiny winglets and drumlets that were dry, overcooked and just doused with sauce to mask the lack of marinade. We ordered the cheese burger pizza and the mini meat feast pizza (about $16/ea for a 12"). Nothing to write home about here. All of the ends of the meat topping were charred black. Obviously it was in the oven too long. A quick glance at the regular clients order and there were no signs of carbon - so the cook was right six minutes is the ideal time not 30! Once again the inattentive waitress took her sweet time coming to check in on us. When I saw her I asked for a box to wrap up our pizza and for the cheque. She offered to pack the leftovers for us which I was amenable to - my mistake once again because she just disappeared. How you do this in a tiny 500 square-foot restaurant is beyond me. After another 10 minutes I ended up walking up to the front to search for my leftovers and one of the backend staff processed my payment instead. I asked for my leftovers which were sitting on the bar counter unattended. He opened the box, had a glance and then slid it over to me saying "I think this is yours?" Well, gross if it isn't, don't you think? Goes without saying this will be the last time I visit this establishment. There are plenty of pizzerias in the area and I cannot find one compelling reason to pay for overpriced burnt and measly food coupled with bad service. read more

We came here for pizza and wings, no daily pizza specials which is too bad as my fave local haunt has a daily pizza special. We waited an hour and 15 minutes for a 12 inch pizza and ten wings. That's right, they don't do the wings by the pound, they will count out 10 sad pathetic meatless chicken wings and make you wait a movie length time to serve them to you. We asked politely at an hour in if our food would be much longer and the waitress laughed and said if we wanted faster service we should have ordered delivery because that's what they're busy doing. I get they deliver too (so do a lot of places lady!) but if they gave us our pathetic wings on the table at half an hour or 45 minutes wait time we would've been happy. They should just close their restaurant and deliver if that's their attitude and poor time management style. We weren't asking for the world, just a teeny let me check or sorry I'll see about it. Worst customer service! Guess how much I don't care about your number one delivery stat you spat at me when I asked a reasonable question?!! I love the pizza when it's good, because when it's good, is good it's really good. Unfortunately however it is not consistent. I ordered the exact same build my own pizza every time and sometimes it's to die for and other times I don't know what the hell is going on. Staff are always friendly . They have forgot a couple things on a few occasions for delivery so I just pick up from now on. They did offer credit or to bring the food when they could on those occasions. The slate and pepper wings are pretty delicious and those are consistent so far! The blue cheese dip is yuck ( for those BC dip lovers) they also serve (like most deep dish style pizza places , that weird big salami that I'm not a fan of). So if you prefer traditional Pizza Hut or dominos style pepperoni, this ain't gunna be your first choice! I would give them five stars if they were more consistent ! read more

It was a little weird when you walk in and have never been there before since you just go in and sit down! But once we got the food it was pretty dang good for the price! Plus our waiter was on it! This pizza is amazing, we frequent Stan's regularly as well as order takeout. One time the takeout arrived without the Garlic Parmesan sauce (to die for) that I ordered. We love Stan's! Their pizzas are like no other place. There's tons of cheese, sauce and tons of toppings! Their crusts are the perfect consistency, not too greasy (even the next day) and not too thin/thick/chewy. We've ordered everything from their pizzas, pastas, wings, salads, and nachos and have never had a complaint! They do the best they can in terms of service. Joe always takes care of us when we go in large groups (which is often). He makes sure everything is out quickly. One time, his shift was already finished for the day, but he stayed afterwards to make sure we were looked after and all our orders had come, and then he left. Joe always goes above and beyond. He's super friendly and the kids love him. Our only complaint is that Stan's isn't bigger, otherwise we could hold bigger gatherings there! Sometimes there is a wait since they are more often than not short staffed, but you'd expect that from a place with a ton of take out orders and a full house. Pros: Lots of toppings and thick dough. Can fill you up. Sauce is ok and plenty of cheese. Crust is ok at the edges. Cheap beer. Service is generally friendly, either in-house or pick up. Small restaurant, so likely to be quiet. Cons: Pizza is greasy, will leave your gut gurgling. especially the "meat pizzas" Meats are underneath the cheese, Dough is often soggy in the middle. Ingredients are basic. Obviously cheap things out of boxes. Price-wise, some things are quite high. Wings, and Pasta for example Sort of a Dive bar. Not exactly a great atmosphere. Bunch of old drunk guys at the bar (regulars?) Dark interior. Everything Black and with some red, uninspiring lighting and layout. Conclusion: Decent for delivery/pick-up in a pinch, or for a group of guys watching the game. Not likely to return. read more

Delivery times vary from 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the night. They'll warn you, though, if it's going to be a fairly long wait (an hour or more) and most of the time we'll wait. It's worth it. The pizza is great. Simply that. The crust is fresh and just the perfect thickness. The sauce is consistently good. Toppings, with the exception of just one variety we've tried, are generous and work together well. Didn't like the BBQ chicken toppings particularly, but that's personal taste as opposed to something not good. Some really good combinations available. For those freaks who are fans of pineapple (like me), the aloha is the pizza for you! Hubby loves the mini meat and joint special. We're working our way through the pizza menu, but haven't tried the pastas, which look kind of like an afterthought on the delivery/take out menu. Drivers are always friendly, even when your doorbell battery dies and they have to stand outside your door for a minute or two (sorry!!). Delicious food, cheap prices, friendly/down to earth staff, and good drinks specials! Came here to celebrate a friends birthday, walked in on a Saturday night with 9 people. They had no problem accommodating our group. The server was very helpful and quick. The pizza menu is very extensive, almost overwhelming. However with these prices, I would definitely go back to try those that I didn't get a chance too. Food was fresh and hot, and the recipes were very unique! Drinks were chheeaapppp! $3.50 highballs on a Saturday! A highlight for our group. The space is a little awkward, you seat yourself, but it adds to the charm of this little pizza joint. I'm a long time take out customer of Stan's pizza because not just of the sweet 2-for-1 and 3-for-1 deals, but because the pizza is just so delicious and loaded. I started doing their specialty pizzas and the must have is their Joint Full Load: it has probably 10 toppings and I can see and taste each layer perfectly. Usually other places' pizzas which are loaded become too messy and indistinguishable. Then for my birthday I decided to eat in and I discovered they have a great selection of daily drink specials and serve Russell brewing on tap.
