The pizza is outstanding, this is a long running family establishment in Burnaby, it's a stone throwaway from city hall, the museum and Burnaby lake. The service is wonderful very warm and inviting almost like family if everyone got along. The ambiance is clean and comfortable, they have photos of what I can only assume is family and friends all around the establishment. But the pizza is delicious, slices are large and the crust. Crunchy exterior with a pillowy interior, a healthy amount of toppings that balance the flavours well. The location isn't the best with the traffic on Canada way, lunchtime in the little strip mall can get pretty busy so plan accordingly.

Called and placed an order and got there right when they said it would be ready and I think they had just got it out of the oven. Place is small with a couple of tables if you wanted to eat there. Took ours to go and got it back and dug in. It was really good! Ample toppings and the crust was really good!! Looking forward to the leftovers even though there is not much!!

    Must try every one

In 68 years I've never encountered pizza this amazing , truly one of a kind on earth pizzas my friends have been mentioning this place so often to me thought I'd try it. honestly blue my socks off.! Must try.

Old school pizza in Burnaby. We got the ham, cheese, and shrimp pizza and it was very cheesy (maybe a bit too much). There was a good amount of pineapple but the combination of flavours was only okay. The crust was quick thick and overall the pizza was on the oily side of things.

Pineapple and ham pizza pie. Delicious!

Honestly, some of the best pizza I've ever had. Hot, thick, and loaded. If you dine-in (only 2 tables), the crust is super crunchy! Green salad was also very fresh!!! See picture of our ham and pineapple pizza. Delicious!!!

They've been a staple for our deer Lake picnics for years and always treated us well. The shrimp pineapple ham pizza is great.

Best pizza in Burnaby, hands down. Don't over-order, unless you want delicious leftovers tomorrow, because the slices are hefty.

Both were absolutely scrumptious. The base was perfectly balanced with salt and softness. The chilli oil was delicious. A bit pricier though. Also, we were not told that chilli oil costs extra, just asked if we wanted it. Our server sat us at the large table because all of the others were full. There is one more waitress who appears to be the boss or manager in some sort. She was quite arrogant when she approached us and told us, "You're not allowed to use all of the seats because this is a community table." We were just settling in and were unaware that it was a community table. I suppose in the service profession, there are better ways to phrase some things than to swoop in and command guests. Despite the fact that the pizza was delicious, we may not want to return to dine in. Service really matters to us. Even if the ambience and food is good, if the service make us feel uncomfortable and offended, it leaves a sour taste in our mouth.

Wonderfuly light and flaky phyllo filled with layers of warm spinach. I was pleasantly surprised how warm it stayed and long the pastry remained intact and not soggy. My partner had the Greek Ribs & Chicken which came with all the Greek fixings ( rice /Greek salad / potatos / tzatziki & pita). The ribs has a nice seasoning run on them but like most Greek chicken ( I found it was quite dry). The potato's were not heavily lemoned either. It really was just a roast potato. We also had a Baklava. This was over sweet & heavy with what I found similar to the taste of black licorice or ouzo. Personally not a fan. We lucked out and got a seat to eat but most people appear to be doing take out orders and pickups here. Food takes a while to be ready so be ready to wait and eat with people sitting or standing waiting for their food. There is small side table, window counter and larger side table but there is definitely not too many places to sit. I'd recommend just puting in an order before showing up to save on waiting time. Staff was friendly despite how busy it got. Located on Hastings St. Plenty of street parking & side street parking and definitely transit friendly.

The restaurant wasn't even busy; maybe only 3 tables seated- yet we stood by the entrance for a good 5 minutes with staff clearly seeing us, but no one coming to greet us. When a waitress finally started walking over, she randomly stopped to take another table's order mid-way. Then another waitress spent about 2 minutes counting tables before finally seating us. Not a great first impression. For appetizers, we ordered the Toscana salad and meatballs. The salad was just okay, nothing memorable. The meatballs were a real letdown. They looked piping hot when they arrived, but were disappointingly lukewarm inside. Honestly, the focaccia that came with it was the best part of the dish, especially when dipped in the pomodoro sauce. Mains were a mixed bag. The caserecce e tartufo was actually good; pasta cooked al dente with a rich, creamy sauce. I'd suggest adding pancetta to cut through some of that richness. The tagliatelle al ragu, however, was absolutely disappointing. There was barely any sauce on the pasta and the dish was completely bland; no flavor whatsoever. We each had about one bite and couldn't bring ourselves to eat more. Would not recommend. The tiramisu for dessert was decent but not great. You could tell there was too much mascarpone and not enough ladyfingers to balance it out. Overall, this was a subpar visit that left us disappointed. Between the inattentive service and inconsistent food quality, I can't recommend Sopra Sotta when there are so many better Italian restaurants in the area to choose from.

Compared to the Commercial location, this one is way cozier with a soothing atmosphere. The pizza and pasta here were as good as their other location. The freshly baked pizza was simple but tasted rich. The texture of the thin pizza crust was just right. Their Caserecce e Tartufo is my all time favorite - creamy, aromatic, simply delicious! The Frittura Mista was not bad but I'd try some other appetizers next time. The servers were friendly and helpful but they seemed to be under-staffed. Everything was quite slow.
