I really wish I read the reviews before coming here. My son had his lenses replaced, and when we made the appointment, we were told that they would be same day. However, it took weeks to arrive and then when it did, it was not the right prescription. So fast forward to another couple of weeks, it finally arrived, and he had them for one day before they got scratched. When we placed the order, we told them that we wanted scratch Protection and that did not happen. I just tried calling their customer service and they said that we would have to buy a whole new set of lenses. What a horrible way to treat a customer. I normally go to Costco, but I thought I would try Stanton because they advertise that it was a quick turnaround for a prescription lenses. I will never step in that building again. When I walked in, there were several displays of glasses and people walking around looking. There were two customer service desk, one on the side and one in the back. I stood in line at the one on the side. I was second in line. Every once in a while an associate would walk by and say I will be right with you. I waited there for 25 minutes and in that time people were constantly cutting in front of me, asking the clerk of question. I fully expected the staff to say she's next, but that never happened. This place was so disorganized that I have ways. Don't mind that people were cutting in front because everyone there was frustrated. The staff was of no assistance whatsoever. When I finally got up to my turn, I asked the clerk is there a number system or anything and she told me no. I gave her my prescription and asked what the turnaround time would be. It was not the advertised quick turnaround instead it would be two weeks. Twice as long as the Costco turnaround. I took my prescription to Costco, grabbed a number there and was served within a minute of grabbing a number. Found some glasses placed my order in. It arrived in four business days. I got a text from Costco with my code and pick my glasses up in my locker. At Stanton if it was so hard to get service as a new customer, I made the conscientious decision that if I did place an order, I would only be again frustrated when I returned to pick up the glasses by the lack of organization and efficiency in this store. It really wasn't so much the clerks problem. The problems at this place start at the top. I'm sure the clerks were just as frustrated as everyone else in that building. read more

If you want the worst customer experience this is the place to buy. First the eye exams gave different results. 2nd top of the line transition lens glasses were terrible. Couldnt see straight without eye stress. 3rd The high end sun glasses started coming out of the frame and they did not repair or resolve that wanted to charge more and said you need lens warranty( what!!!) to repair. My family has been going here your years but we are now done. In August my teenager went in for her yearly exam (virtual optometrist) and was told there was an issue with her eyes and needed to see the in person optometrist. They go back see the optometrist and was told a severe eye issue and will need special contacts that will help correct the issue, and if not corrected she will lose her vision. They also said tell her primary in the new year and get a referral. Primary needs there report and after that battle we get it and it says her eyes are healthy! Leave messages and emails.... They promised the optometrist would call us back to explain and it's been over a month and nothing. Today go to the EYEcenter in Rocklin and full exam and NOTHING is wrong with her eyes! My daughter cried.. In front of the optometrist at the EYEcenter hearing she wasn't losing her vision. How can you guys be so heartless and tell a teenager she is losing her vision and it's all a LIE?!!! There is special karma coming to people who are cruel to kids. Your office is a flipping disaster, doesn't matter what day, what time and you will be there for hours. I have dealt with it. I went to Stanton Optical on 10/4/24. I needed glasses quickly for my trip to South Lake Tahoe. I was given excellent customer service by Pieora. He helped me with selecting my frames, setting up my VSP Platinum Account and went above and beyond, by getting them to me on the following day. Their machine was down, so they went to another location to get them done. Pieora was kind, and enjoyable to talk to. I'm thankful for everyone's help! I highly recommend them. Service date 1/4/2025 A few months ago my teenage son was given the news his vision needs correction. He was not thrilled with this development and was a reluctant shopper for frames. Stanton Optical is a rip off. They advertise " buy one get one" for $79.00 with free eye exam. I had my eye exam and paid $80.00 for a pair of glasses. when I asked them abut 2nd pair, they said I had to pay extra. I agreed for one pair I was told that the glasses would be ready in 2 weeks. When I called them after 2 weeks , they told me that it'll take another couple of days. I called them again after 3 days, they again told me again that it'll take another couple of days. Finally 1 month later they texted me that the glasses were ready . When I went to pick up the glasses, and put them on to check it out, there was no difference in my vision. I told the employee and she agreed for a re-test of my eyes. This time my result of prescription was different. I was told that this would take 2 weeks for the new glasses. I needed the glasses today so I asked for the refund so I can get it made somewhere else. I was told that I would be refunded with $55.00 only and the $25.00 would be deducted for the service. With the glasses arriving in 1 month instead of 2 weeks , and , not having the right prescription, with their mistake, I should have been refunded the full amount. It is now 4:27 and I am still on one of these uncomfortable steel benches. If it was not for this pandemic I would have gone anywhere else. Not only are staff very dry and unfriendly, but the place is kind of clustered and messy. Probably the worst experience I've had at an optometrist so far. Additionally, I'm over here fasting for Ramadan and these guys are getting Cheesecake Factory delivered here, leaving their lunch door room open for all the odors to fill the waiting areas. Oh! And FYI, they are doing all this through tele-Health (Skype/zoom) you do not get a 1 on 1 with an actual optometrist. You agree to that when you sign the oily iPad for terms and agreements AFTER YOU MADE AN APPOINTMENT. On some sleazy snake oil salesman hype. I will never come here again. STANTON OPTICAL: Do not offer appointments just to lock patients in. I would have came later had you told me 3:45 was not gonna work. Also, the eyewear selection is super sad here. I am very disappointed that I can only select a single star. There should be a -4 and that's what I would choose. Three weeks ago I made an appointment with this company. The appointment scheduler told me 6:45 PM would be great. I show up and there's a sign on the door saying they close at 7 PM. That struck me as odd because I've never had an eye exam or an eyeglass fitting in under 15 minutes. I entered and the receptionist was pleasant. I went to the back where I should've been escorted into an eye exam room and was told that my eye exam would be virtual because the doctor "leaves at a certain time. " I asked how that was possible? I was told "You know, they put the machine to your eyes and they go 1,2,1, 2- the usual." No, that is ridiculous! I did not order a baked potato with sour cream and, "you know, the usual." I'm talking about my vision, which should be of the utmost importance to them since that's the business they are in. Not only was that information delivered in the most nonchalant manner possible, but also came with attitude, as if I made the error in scheduling. I said calmly, "just cancel my appointment" and I left. The receptionist was very empathic and tried to be of service. I appreciate her. Be forewarned, your eyes are extremely important. If the company that's in place to help you ensure they are working well behaves like this, go somewhere else. Had to go in to get some new frames for my glasses because my dog seems to like how they tasted. Also, I had to bring in the sunglasses I got from Stanton because the nose piece fell off. I came in for contacts tonight and had to bring my two young boys with me ( they can be a lot sometimes) . I had my appointment quickly , everything was smooth in sailing . The young girl helping me recommended a new brand of contacts ( I had worn the same one for YEARS) and I LOVED them, she was so helpful and kind and didn't make me feel like my kiddos were a burden . If I could give them no stars I would. I just got off the phone with a gentleman who claims he's the manager of the galleria location... I believe he said his name was Xavier and I had signed up for a club to get a free exam and I was not told that there was an expiration date for the free exam so essentially I just gave them a $20 tip for no reason and he said that the receipt states that there is an expiration, however I explained to him that I was verbally told that there was no expiration by the lady who pushed the club on me in the first place and his response was "it clearly says it on your receipt" He was extremely rude and unprofessional and this was the third person that I have been transferred to with this issue. He told me that he was not going to give me a free exam and I stated that I was not looking necessarily for a free exam I just wanted to make it right since I paid them $20 for a service I never received even if he could do a promotional price or a discount on the exam and he said "...not unless I was willing to purchase contacts from them but it would not make sense because they charge $150 a box for the air optix colors and it would be cheaper elsewhere" he didn't even look up the price he was guessing $150 per box and even told me I'm not going to give you a free exam to go elsewhere. I cannot believe how rude they have become and it's all about the money not being fair or making things right or listening or helping the customer. I'd rather go to the place that I went to recently and pay them $120 for their exam as they at least listen and try to help. The only reason I didn't return to Stanton optical was because my new place accepted my vision insurance until recently. Thank you for taking a $20 tip from me and not offering a service as you promised Stanton Optical and thank you for how rude and short you were on the phone with me Xavier. Eh went in there for the 2 pair of glasses for $70 and that only comes with a select number of glasses to choose from maybe like 30 and they're not the best honestly. Out of style and old looking. So that left me with their other choices which turns out to be buy any frame get one free but that leaves you paying for 2 pair of lenses. They instantly give you the most expensive ones and it came out to be 470$ with on frame being like 100$ that's crazy when I came in for an70$ deal. And I felt very pressed like when I kept asking questions about the price. Turns out if I'd get one pair it would be the same prices as the buy one get one which makes no sense because your paying for two pairs of lenses. Ended up doing it with the cheapest lenses total came out to 350$. When I received my glasses they didn't even come in a case or nothing and they were dirty covered in dust idk from what maybe from the lense process smh. One month later and one of my pairs had a screw loose and I lost one of the lenses. Second pair had a little piece of the frame come off so they're lopsided now. Real nice. Do not recommend. Its just days before school, and I need a pair of glasses for my daughter... why did I wait until last minute... What is a girl to do... I came across Stanton Optical when looking for something I could get in an instant. There was a phone number, so I called right away. The person that picked up was quick to help me any way I needed. They made my daughter an appointment to get in within half an hour. When we arrived at Stanton Optical, the look inside was crisp, clean... prestige looking. There were samples of glasses neatly organized along the wall. A woman named Cassidy greeted us and showed us around the wall of glasses, to where we do an eye exam. The cost of the eye exam is free, with the purchase of glasses...so you do pay the $45 fee for the exam. When you purchase the glasses within so many days, the cost of the eye exam is credited to the glasses you purchase. Kelsey did the eye exam. She was very professional, not too talkative unless she was giving directions. She did great. Then it was off to another room to find the right prescription lenses for Angelina. Dr. John Jordan brought us into another room, first, he had Angelina try to read what was lit up on the wall. Then he put the mechanical mask over her and switched up the lenses until she was reading the letters 200% better! Success!!!! We paid for the exam and were then taken to the wall with the different kinds of frames. We were also told that there was a deal going on... BUY ONE FRAME, AND GET ONE FREE!! The frames we were looking at ranged from $99-$129...Cassidy came back and introduced herself again. She's the girl I pay for the frames. When we picked out our 2 choices, she went over cost, and protection. She was very wonderful and patient with us.... All together- $395 later, we walked out with a 1 pair of frames with the correct lenses... the technician accidentally broke the other frames we picked out and they just happened to be the last ones. He said, if he could find the same frame at his store, he would bring them and I could pick them up in a few days. He did call the same day with good news! He said they should be ready for pick up in 3 days! I ended up waiting a week before I went in again(I checked on Monday, 8/29/16), and they were the wrong frames. Stanton Optical actually had no idea about the frame the technician had broken and they thought I was exchanging for another pair. So I had to explain to them I was still waiting for the orginal frame we had chosen. Cassify said they are going to have to order them and will call me when they are ready... So far, it's been a pretty good experience. Although I do not have her 2nd pair of frames yet, I am blessed that my daughter has her sight back, and don't mind waiting for her second pair..
