I read a few reviews before going to buy my glasses today and was a little apprehensive about going as most of the reviews were negative, but I figured that most of the people that take the time to post a review do it cause they are angry, because of a bad experience or they were just having a bad day, or they were the one of the few who actually had a problem. I was met by a service rep named Dana who made the entire experience more than enjoyable, I actually had fun. The place was bright and clean and everyone was pleasant. I went in to get the 2 pairs for $69.00 and I wasn't going to get any extras cause they can add up fast and they do try to sell you on all the ameneties, cause its also they're job to make money, so I don't blame them for trying to sell me on the extras. I explained to Dana that I broke two pairs of my glasses in the past 6 months and don't want to spend alot on them cause they will probly suffer a similar fate as my previous glasses, so she explained the warranty plan available and went with that, which brought my grand total to $105 out the door with my eye exam and tax included. I'm happy with that as the last time I bought glasses elsewhere with a few of the extras it was over $600. Before I left I asked Dana how long it would be till I could pick up my glasses, expecting it to be 7 to 10 days according to some of the reviews I had read and feared longer as one review said it took 26 days to get theirs. I was amazed when she said I can pick them up after 4pm tomorrow!!! I have absolutely NO complaints about this place for buying glasses, I give them 5 stars and I mean it! the lesson learned: take those "bad" reviews with a grain of salt... go to Stanton with an open mind and have your own experience there and then write a review about it, good or bad, just be honest about it so that it can help others. thankyou for taking the time to read my review - Edward read more

Why are they allowed to stay in business? Why isn't some state agency looking into the multitude of customers that have been taken for a ride by this inept, dishonest, flat out bunch of unprofessional liars? Their products are inferior and outdated. Their sales staff reminds me of the telemarketing days here in Buffalo. Most of them are probably supplementing their income at night by being used car sales people and pole dancers. They have a higher employee turnover than McDonalds or Burger King and are just about as knowledgeable. If you doubt me about the employee turnover rate just go back there every couple of weeks and see how many familiar faces you see. Even including lab techs and managers. The building should be imploded and they should rebuild the old gas station that used to be there. Chances are car mechanics would know more about glasses than these people do. read more

Hadn't had an eye exam in a few years and was able to easily schedule one for the same day at the Tonawanda location. They were very busy with quite a few eye exams going on and plenty of people looking for frames. The staff was excellent at moving everything along. Had a "virtual" eye exam which was a first but worked great. I have to compliment the staff for really striving to provide everyone good service even while quite busy. An associate named Kristina was extremely helpful and efficient taking information, directing people into exam rooms and following up to get me my prescription. She is a real asset to this location, don't know if she was the manager but she certainly seemed to have a command of everything happening in the store. I just picked up my 2 pairs of new glasses and am very pleased with the them and thought the price was very reasonable. read more

Everyone in the Tonawanda store go out of their way to help with ANY questions. When I arrived for my appointment, Patrick was outside salting the entrance way for customers safety since their current plowing service dropped the ball (for days)! Ashley is always my favorite to see when I walk thru the door, her beautiful smile is so welcoming! Ashley is very FRIENDLY and knows her stuff, she makes you feel comfortable during the virtual eye exam and I LOVE her opinion when I am deciding on frames (which I always get compliments on my glasses)! Can not forget to mention Raymond, is polite and his opinion is also appreciated while he is fitting and sizing your new frames. I had the pleasure to purchase 2 pair of sunglasses from Stanton. I must say I was a bit apprehensive thinking I was not going to get a wide variety of choices and that I would be rushed in and out. That couldn't have been farther from the truth, with my experience. The store was spotless, the staff welcoming and the prices much better than I have paid at other optical stores. Buck took care of me and his professional mannerisms, knowledge and sincerity made for a great experience. I even got a free eye exam without much of a wait. Went in this year to get my eyes checked for the second time bc my normal place gave me glasses and something didn't feel right. I could not see as well as I should. They did an eye exam, and compared it to the prescription from the other place and my lenses had been switched and my astigmatism measurements were wrong. They helped out by taking lenses from the year b4's glasses and put them in new frames for the time being for me. My glasses came right on time. Last week my sons glasses broke and his eyes are far worse then mine so I took him straight there to see if we could trying just replacing the frames for the time being :) they did! Returned there for my long overdue checkup, of course my Eyes had changed, I had very specific request as to what I wanted, (Progressives, Deep Grey Photo Grades, Springs in the Bows) Chris the Asst Sales Mgr. and his compatriot answered every question very Professionally had suggestions but listened to me. Workers were extremely helpful and friendly. After my eye exam it turned out I didn't need a new prescription and only needed the exam. Kyle was very helpful explaining this and the overall experience was very good. They had a great selection of frames and Kyle even wrote a note on my record of the frames I liked so I remember what ones I like for next time. This is the 2nd time we've gone to Stanton Optical in emergency situations. Both times, they were helpful and pleasant. It's stressful enough to deal with broken glasses, but we walked in and out within 10 minutes, and most importantly, they did not make us feel like we were inconveniencing them. My son and I needed new glasses and we were told that this was the place to go. Everyone was extremely friendly and Chris went above and beyond to answer any of our questions ( we had a lot ). I have been going to stanton off and on for years. One thing I can say for sure I have never left unsatisfied. They take multiple insurance providers and it's always at least 1 employee to make you feel comfortable. I wish there were more locations around my area. read more
