Excellent staff. The guy I worked with was flawless in his sales, information, friendliness and knowledge of the product and services offered and what I needed. The store was quick and efficient. My only disappointment was that when I first got these glasses, that were now simply lost so I was replacing, at another store - they were completed within about 45 minutes. This order will take around 2 weeks. With that said, it seemed as though this was a production issue outside the companies control and without a doubt outside this particular store and employees control. Thank you! read more

Very confused about this place, eye exam was fine but when you go to get your glasses things get weird.... Absolutely poor customer service the people working here have no idea what's going on, God forbid you try and call someone the call center is a JOKE and rude. Terrible. The 1-star was taken, not given. No zero star option. Drove an hour & a half for an appointment only to be told to sit down and forced to fill out basic forms on malfunctioning equipment (wonky tablet). The TWO people at the desk remained on their a$$es the entire time. Even after walking up & explaining that I had to restart my forms from the beginning multiple times. They were too lazy to simply ask me the questions & type it in themselves onto desktop, nor did they care enough to offer me a paper form. I had to leave to go to the eye doctor across the street & hope for a walk-in. Even after scheduling my appointment with Stanton, they still displayed utter disrespect for my time. I even called the only listed number (877 number) to explain the issue before leaving a negative review, but even that was an issue for the outsourced employee on the other end. Such a bad experience. Edit: This was also my first online review left on this, or any other app. So, that's saying something. Also, the insist on masks yet have ZERO soap in either the broken wall dispenser OR the filthy, empty discount soap bottle (not antibacterial) on the dirty sink. Gave this place a try today, mostly because it's very close to home, open on Sunday, and I wanted to check out their frame selection, etc. I wish I'd read the Yelp reviews first. First off, for an almost-new building, the doctors' offices and waiting area felt dingy, poorly maintained, and bargain-basement, which I suppose is in keeping with their clientele. The exam portion was actually fine, although the "remote refractionist" setup was a little strange to say the least. I felt like the exam was on par with others I've had for glasses. Once my exam was completed, I wandered over to the other side of the building to check out the frames. I quickly discovered that they carried no real name brands, and that the vast majority of the styles looked and felt like cheap knockoffs. Coupled with all of the general ambience (and aroma) of a Greyhound station, I was compelled to pick up my prescription and depart. Needless to say, I'll be shopping for new frames elsewhere. read more

My appointment was at 2:00pm, I was out at 4:25pm I arrived around 1:58pm there was 4 people a head of me, one of them her appointment was at 2:20pm, but she was before me, it's more like a first come first serve basis. It takes around 2-3 hours to have you eye exam and the lobby guy to put the glasses order, I mean they are cheap but if you are in a hurry don't come here. Lady from the eye exam it's very polite, the younger guys from the lobby are not, they do make you wait a lot to help you, they just acknowledge you when you arrive, then it's like they are forced to be there. If you want the 59.95 deal you have to wait at least 3 weeks to have the glasses. The value frames are most of the time like 10-15 you need to ask if they have more, they do, but apparently you need to ask for them. read more

This optical place is ridiculous, very unprofessional and poor customer service. The eye doctor's office is just as inadequate and unprofessional as the eyeglass frame area. The optometrist do not do a thorough check, like checking for disease or illnesses which are done by professional optometrist. I believe that there are all kinds of doctors in the world the doctor who were "A" students in medical school and then there are the "C" students....I believe the later is who Stanton employs. The "opticians" are just kids who need a job, I feel they don't have any training. The seating for "waiting" is terrible and broken down. Complete RIPOFF!!! Please do not be fooled, like me. They offer anazing deals, but then get you on the backside with hidden charges like paying for the prescription. Worse, is the actual service... The doctors (if they are licensed), do the exam via video. Guess what? They were incorrect, then 3 days (1 business day) after we realized their mistake we attempted for the next 30 days to have them correct the problem only to be delayed, made promises, and put off. I finally went to the store for a refund, only to be blamed as responsible for the mistakes of the exam! If you too, have experienced this type of ripoff, I am going to see if there are enough of us to file a "class action" lawsuit against Stanton. The attorney general of Ohio has filed against them in the past for poor business practices, so apoears they are still ripping off customers. I had the worst interaction with an African American woman that is supposed to be the manager, sorry, she was so rude that I cannot even remember her name, so making a long story short, I am done with rude people. This office is extremely unorganized. They had 5 People scheduled at the exact same time. A man asked the lady behind the counter why they we're booked like that, to which she replied "because they're retarded". After I finished my exam I went to get my glasses. The "manager in training " Chadwick I found to be quite rude. He was acting as if it was a bother to help customers. He has a terrible attitude. I asked if he could print my prescription and he said no that they don't do that, which is not true. I've been and got my prescription printed there previously. After I pressed the issue he printed it with no problem. I will never be back to Stanton. They are incredibly unprofessional. read more

Update WARNING: this "Doctor" isn't even a licensed optometrist or ophthalmologist in the state of Oklahoma! The state board of optometry is fully aware of this scam that Stanton is pulling yet they can't do anything because he is a licensed MD in another state running his business out of his house. That's where he is when you do the eye exam. This place is a complete joke! Do not listen to their commercials! They say 2 pair for $99 including the dr visit. Their eye exam is through an uncomfortable web cam, then the send you to choose your 2 frames for $99 which there are 3 of the ugliest options. Buyer beware! It took eight weeks, multiple attempts and great frustration to finally get my glasses and I'm still not sure they got the prescription correct. The joke of an optometrist next door supposedly prescribed to correct me to 20/20, but my distance vision Isn't clear, so I have to be careful wearing these while driving. Oddly enough, the prescription sun glasses I got from them are great. Problem is if I go back in again, and I've been on MANY MANY times, and tell them I still don't think they're right....I'm just not up for it. Stanton optical review; The first glasses has a left eye issue and the second glasses I have not received even though they were ready 6-9-2020 according to online status. This has been a ongoing issue. Today 9-16-2020, I was told 4 transfers later that my order would be ready for pickup tomorrow 9-17-2020. I should receive notice on phone or email. The poster outside the shop on 71st & Sheridan is a scam! They real deal is that they will charge you for an exam for $59... so it's not free! And the test didn't even include the dilation even though I had confirmed before scheduling the exam!!!! If your exam results into a prescription lens, the store will offer you a pair of frames with basic glasses for $10, which will bring your total to claimed $69 experience! What I would encourage people to do is check their frame selection they are offering for this deal because what they showed us was just ridiculous!!! read more

My husband visited the store in Tulsa OK, he also wished he had read the reviews. They wouldn't answer his questions before the eye exam and charged his card before he even went to look for glasses. Then they told him it would be and extra amount for bifocals and it would take 14 day to receive his glasses or they could charge him more money to ship them. Because he was unhappy with their service they asked him to leave without giving him his prescription that he paid for. They need to make sure their customers understand what will happen before the exam. What a rip off. read more

I went in for the two for one deal for $79 and ended up spending $439. Waited two weeks for the glasses, then had them for exactly 31 days when they got a scratch in the scratch resistant lens. Stanton offered to give me 40% off a new pair of lenses, which totaled up to over $200. Seriously? Not going back. Ever. read more

We have been to Stanton optical two different times. Both times we had great service. The first time my spouse had a eye exam and bought two pairs of glasses he loves. They did a tele eye exam with the doctor appearing on a television screen. I must admit we were both sceptical but he got a great fit and can see a lot better than with his old ones. The second time we went because our grand daughter lost her glasses at school. She is only thirteen but wears a progressive lens. The shop where we bought the original pair said the most affordable pair we could get would cost $298. At Stanton optical we met Carli one of the managers. She was amazing. She worked with us throughout the selection process and was able to get my grand daughter 3 pairs of glasses that she loves for less than $200. We will always be customers of Stanton Optical and recommend you ask for Carli. read more

Shaun was the associate and Manager in Training who waited on my 80 year old mom. He was very patient and explained things to her. He used a visual dry erase board for a comparison of glasses. She was very disappointed in their advertising but with some patience and understanding, he recovered her as a returning customer. He went far and above by changing the nose pads on her existing glasses (and mine). The place was clean and there was oldies music playing. All staff was professionally dressed. I would recommend them to someone looking for an eye care center. read more

So 2 weeks ago I had an appointment and that one didn't go to well. The doctor was a virtual doctor and he ended up giving me the wrong prescription. I spoke with the people at Stanton Optical and they said that I could come back in and they would re examine my eyes and that theres an actual Doctor there twice a week. So I just had my new appointment today and it was great. The doctor was an actual present doctor and she was super nice and got my prescription fixed and I got new lenses. I am so glad I went back and she was able to help me. She even gave me eye drops for my dry eye for free. So if you decide to make an appointment here, make sure you go on a day when an actual doctor is present. read more

So I called today while I was at work around 12pm, I looked at their hours before hand and asked how long it took to get an eye exam because I get off work at 6 and I seen that they close at 7, I asked if it was possible to get in at about 7:40 because I have to let my dogs out and was told their last appt available was at 6:45. I rushed there (thank god there wasn't cops around because I probably would have got a ticket). I show up at LITERALLLLLY 6:45 and the door is locked, a guy comes and opens it and laughs and says "sorry I thought it was 7" and then they all preceded to tell me that the doctor left because there was no appts. I was so pissed because my glasses broke ( no I didn't expect to get any that day but I at least would have liked a new eye exam). I ended up going across the street to Eyemart (where the door was still unlocked) they ended up fixing my glasses for free, set me an appt for tomorrow and I'm excited. The only thing the guy could say is their customer service ( the people that set my appt, didn't know what they were doing) WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, GET YOUR STAFF ON THE SAME PAGE. Horrible experience all along. Last episode was when Patrick the manager started yelling at us in the store & even followed us out to our car yelling! This was after he was told by corporate to give me two free glasses with Bifocals & tinting going into the sunlight. And after being run around on for two months. You may get a "nice" response back about your review. But they will refer you to customer service who. 1) don't speak clearly, 2) are in Florida or/& another country. 3) will say they will take a message and someone will be back with you in 24/72 hours. Did that FOUR times & no call back. So now they have stolen my $300 with no way to get back. My husband's on disability and bad health. I am his caregiver so we are on a small income every month. Worse Service and Quality Product I purchased my glassses 2 months ago. It took over a month to get my glasses. Then they showed up scratched so they didn't call me to tell me they were in. I finally get my scratched glasses from them because it's better than nothing while they order new ones. Another month goes by no phone calls and no new lens. I paid for the scratch insurance too. I finally give in and call them. I have called them 4 times, get transferred at least 3 times each time I call because no one knows why my order was entered in the system but the lens where never made. I was told I would get a call back again in a matter of hours...Guess what 3 days later nothing. I called them tonight. Transferred of course and finally I just start demanding my money back. I brought my own frames and still paid over $200 for my lens. I was told I would be transferred to the complaint dept at 888-792-8588. Now I am in "on hold" hell. 20 minutes and still no one comes to the phone. So I guess I am going to have to go another route to either get my money back or get unscratched new lens. But heck, I don't want to ever come back to even use the scratch insurance. read more

I went in this afternoon to see if I could get an eye exam, I asked the heavy set associate sitting @ a counter to the left , if they're was a Dr in? to which he replied no there isn't, so I walked out needing an eye exam I saw the huge sign on the outside advertsing eye exams so I walked back in and asked how can I get an eye exam, well we can set you up for one,, Really? what did he think I was meaning when I asked for a doctor?
