A wonderful store! Stopped in while road tripping for some essentials. They have a wall of herbs/teas for every ailments. Organic wine , dry goods and starters for fermenting. First time here, came in to grab just a couple items and within a minute of walking in one of the ladies asked if I needed help finding anything. The atmosphere is very peaceful here. I felt a little hesitant because of other reviews but it was nothing like others stated. I will definitely shop here again. Also, I did not have a mask on and neither did my kids, there was no sign posted requiring masks. No one hassled me about not having one on either. read more

Nicely laid out store, however slightly over priced. Some items can be found at the local grocer fo less such as the organic bouillon. No fresh produce. They offer this for approximately thirty five dollars for a box if you order ahead. Also pricey compared to the co-op in town. Customer service can be a bit stuffy. Conveniently located in the downtown. Some nice soaps if you like them handmade. read more

I'm giving this store a one star review because of the service and staff. The only positive thing I will say is the somewhat large selection for a small store, but that's followed by the outrageously steep prices. My second experience when I went in the store I was looking for herbal extracts, and I decided to research on my smartphone. I had been to the store before and the staff hardly was knowledgeable on their own products! I decided to take my own initiative and research for myself, in store. I had been asked several times if I needed help, and said with a smile that I'm trying to learn about the extracts they had. After the third time, they helped another customer, and proceeded to talk and joke aloud about what I had in my pockets with this other customer! I know this because the customer remarked, "...maybe he has extra coinage stuffed in his pockets. haha", and I was the only male in the store who he could have referred to. All I had was my iPod and headphones in my sweater, and they thought me a criminal, when I was genuinely trying to learn about what was in stock. Why would I lie?? Even so, they have a camera system rigged up, so why were they concerned with me in the first place? What is this a caddy gossip group? I surely could've spoken bad about them from a previous visit. One of the employees was thanking another for the "kooch juice" that was giving to her. "KOOCH JUICE"?? The worst part about it was they kept repeating it, and they were middle aged women way past their prime. Gawww, I threw up a little. It's so disgusting and not something you wanna hear ever, especially if you're trying to find foods to buy! On top of that, they get agitated when you ask where their nonexistent restroom is located. Why treat prospective longterm customers in this manner? Because you feel superior that you work in one of the only healthstores in Western South Dakota? No joke, they act as if they are as informed as doctors about health matters. When in truth, they watch Dr. Oz and squawk regally about what they learned the next day at work. They really just do bad business, I will not be back. read more

When I first went here initially, I was unimpressed. I found the service to be sort of snobbish. But I kept going because I liked the quality of the Valerian root and didn't want to pay the shipping of ordering online. In time, especially if you are a local, the service grows on you. In fact, I was struggling with a health problem, and one of the employees really saved me by recommending a product that truly helped me. Now, I won't buy anything unless I first run it by here. Very in-the-know. If you're looking for affordability and a huge variety, you may be disappointed. But if you're looking for a few nich items, they may have them. For example, they were the only place in town that carried the truffle oil that I needed. I would like it if they expanded someday; however, part of their charm is that they're located downtown, and expansion is probably dicey. In time, maybe they'll buy out one of the businesses next to them, remain downtown, and expand inventory. It's worth a shot. P.S. The owner really knows her stuff, so if you can catch her, do so. Three stars for existing in a place where organic and gluten-free items are hard to come by. I really am glad that it's here. They have a lot of supplements, exotic spices, and beer/wine-making supplies. Minus two stars for awful hours, cramped store, difficult parking, mediocre selection, and SELLING ME EXPIRED PROBIOTICS! I paid $25 for them, and I don't even know when I'll be able to go back and talk to them about it (hopefully they'll do an exchange?), because they're never open when I'm not at work. read more

Fabulous store and staff. I am always able to call over to see if they have what I want in stock. They usually do, but if they don't, they immediately order it for me and then let me know when it is in. They go above and beyond to keep the customer happy and coming back. read more

The only reason this store even gets 2 stars is because of their products. I use their skin oils and their natural soaps. I am in there regularly for these items. My husband and myself, are ALWAYS, and I mean ALWAYS, treated terribly! Staff is rude, acts as if you are bothering them just by being there... I love to look around all of the products, but usually don't as I am treated either as a criminal or as if I need to hurry up get out and stop wasting their time, because they have to watch my every move to make sure I don't steal anything.. I have found the soaps at Target now I just need to find an alternative place to buy my oils... REALLY WISH THEY WOULD HIRE A FRIENDLY STAFF WHO WANTS BUSINESS! This COULD be an awesome store! I have formed this opinion after living in Rapid City for years! This has been many many many visits. I still temporarily shop here as I said before.. For my product.
