I was staying in an airbnb last month and was having trouble connecting my laptop to their wifi. I needed to work, so I went on a mission to find a cable to hard wire to their modem. I tried two places before Staples - had my fingers crossed as I entered the store. A woman who may or may not have been the manager happily assisted me by guiding me down an aisle and knew just what I was looking for (unlike the other stores). She showed me two different lengths and I chose one and she suggested I get a converter for my laptop. Smart lady! I had forgotten about that! After that good luck I took a chance and asked if she had Imodium (my son needed it and Walmart was out). She actually ran to an end-cap and looked! Didn't have it but had something similar, I can't remember what. I have to applaud good service and this woman who was working on 11/22/24 at 9:45am needs a commendation for going over & above! I'd like to give them zero stars but that isn't possible. Had a laminating job to do. They have done them before no problem. They're always quite rude and dismissive, but you get used to it because that's how they are.. everyone knows it. And reviews going back 10 years show that it's consistently bad. But it's one of the few places we can get print jobs done in Beaufort. My job was 12 laminated photos put back to back.. image on each side. 10 out of the 12 laminations were not able to be used because they were not lined up at all. When I took them back, they gave me a refund and they blamed the machine. When I went to speak to a manager about it, the print guy follows over so he can listen in. And now he decides to blame the employee he said may have made this mistake - who was not there, of course. Human error. I ask if they can get it correct and he tried telling me photos don't work well in a laminating machine so he goes back to trying to blame the machine. He doesn't want to do the job. He gives me the name of a graphics place nearby.. the Prince staff at Staples are useless. They don't want to do their job. They don't want to be there. They don't care how much money they waste in materials.. I'm going to be contacting Staples corporate office and explaining a little more in detail and show them the results of their inefficiency. With the evidence.Why do people think it's OK to be employed but not do their job? And waste customers time and money.? it's not cool. And it's why we have to do more than just write a review on yelp. people need to be held accountable. read more

It weird how much I enjoy walking around an office supply store, but I do. This Staples is has a fairly decent selection. Something about the layout confuses me... I always find it hard to find any I'm looking for (that might just be me though). The biggest issue I have with this location is that the employees I've encountered aren't the most helpful or friendly. If the management addresses that I'd rate them higher. read more

I brought a printing project in - it was a 32-page journal-sized booklet. Eight 2-sided, letter-sized pages had to be printed on both sides then cut in half. one side of the cover was color, the rest black and white. The young woman who was on duty for printing services quoted me more than $700 for 50 copies. I got upset, took the staples out of my sample, and showed her it was only 8 letter-sized sheets double sided. Then she quoted $400+! I did not want to keep arguing with her, so I left. My beautiful booklet of 50 spiral-bound copies - with a laminated cover for good measure, is being produced by the very kind and friendly people at Budget Print on Carteret, downtown Beaufort, for $270. I will never use Staples in-house print services... They're great for everything else. read more

Had a great experience today at Staples. Came in for a new battery for my iPhone. I was greeted by sales person and walked over to the service desk. John very friendly asked how he could help. I said needed new battery for my iPhone 7. He had Steven a service tech come out who also very friendly and professional said it said that it would take an hour. After 60 minutes Steve came out with my phone with its new battery. It cost $30. and at no charge replaced the glass screen. Very please with the entire experience. Horrible customer service. Not one person welcomed me as I walked in. The woman at the copy center was not friendly and asked what I needed. All I needed was ONE document (one page) printed out. She told me that would be 10-15 minutes. I then asked if its not something she could do right then seeing as it was a quick task. "NO." Come on now....that woman lost my business at Staples for being rude and lazy. I would and will never recommend this place to anyone. Go somewhere else! read more

I stopped by 22 July 2017 at approximately 1200 to have the copy and print center 3 hole punch some booklets that I was compiling into a large binder. When I walked up to the print center 2 female employees were talking and seemed annoyed that I was I interrupting their conversation. I explained what needed and they said they could not do it. Not sure why the copy and print center can't 3 hole punch some packets. I was confused with how useless these employees were. I will be contacting corporate to inform them. read more

Another frustrating business in Beaufort. 2 people behind the customer service desk, 4 people in line and nothing being done, no one being helped. One "customer service" rep is a woman at the computer who keeps grunting and futzing with her hair. Other guy is on the phone nonstop. Finally get a mumbled "can I help you" as if my being there is a real inconvenience. I needed a 2-page PDF printed. Big deal. But he couldn't answer me, he had to look it up - then it's a series of "well-ums". Took this kid 10 minutes to get it straight in his head before I could get the email address to send it to - then another 10 minutes before he could figure out which machine would print it. I finally walked out of there and went to UPS Store instead. read more
