I rarely go to Staples because I always feel like things just take forever and it's usually hassle and pricey. That's how I felt today, until I met Paul at Printing! He changed my prospective on things at Staples. Not only was he kind and helpful, but he had a sense of humor! He also showed me how to save money and get my stuff handled quickly! Best experience I've had at any Staples location my entire life! I think from now on I'll be looking for Paul in Chelmsford lol! Staples needs more people like Paul for sure! I have gone to Staples weekly for office supplies for the Church I work at. The manager and all his employees are extremely nice and very helpful. My church had almost $200 in rewards that I was unaware of, the manager was nice enough to call the church office to let us know before they expired. The only reason I gave one star was for my original sales man he was very helpful. I was buying a printer he helped me find what I was looking for. Went to check out and this other sales man tried to get me to buy the warranty I didn't want it. He then told me that if I buy a cheap printer I needed the warranty. I asked the first sales man if it was a cheap printer the second salesman cut him off and said I got this. I fix every thing here you need to buy the warranty or you will be stuck with it. I said no to buying the printer and went to BEST BUY got a better printer better service and treated like a person. Rudest man I have ever spoke with I will never come back. read more

I went this past Sunday to use their self service area. Not only was the female working there visibly frustrated but she lacked professionalism. Apparently she was working alone this shift and was running low on her patience as customers approached her for assistance. Though I did not, and was managing my own task, the machine I was using suddenly queued me to "check out" before my task was over or even started. I didn't understand why and said to myself "WTH" before trying to figure out the reason. This staff must've overheard me while "helping" another customer and with a tone says to me "It just needs paper. Calm down" and proceeds to get paper and fill it with no more communication to me at my station. First of all, I was not talking to her and would have attempted to figure it out. Secondly the message was telling me to "check out" not that there was some sort of error or that paper was needed. Thirdly she could have said something to ease her rudeness once she filled the machine with paper. I never bother with rude people or write reviews but a few days later and her attitude still bothers me to relay this on here. Wish I saw her name tag, but staff with this miserable people service needs to instead find a cubicle job. I would consider finding an alternative spot to run my tasks. With staff "so helpful" as she was, you might as well spend money to build your own home office so you don't deal with miserable workers like her. I really wish I got her name. I went to Best Buy and had a horrific experience.....my mom insisted I go to Staples and give it a shot......she said the service and knowledge is so much better. She was right. Justin helped us out and was very helpful and knowledgeable......I felt he was also completely trustworthy and not "salesy " at all but genuinely wanted to help. Very impressed with Angelica from Printing Services! Worked hard to make sure the order was fulfilled correctly and thoroughly, and didn't make excuses. Was very busy, she did a good job handling the traffic! This is a typical Staples store. I can always find what I am looking for, but prices are generally on the higher side. I shop here mostly for office supplies and printer paper/toner. The next closest staples is in Burlington, and that store is small and has little parking. As a result, I recommend this Chelmsford store or the one in Bedford. read more

I made some copies today at Staples and when I gathered them up I noticed that the paper felt heavy. (When I was setting up the order I noticed the weight of the paper and it (28) wasn't familiar, but it didn't occur to me that this was a choice I could make.) I asked the employee behind the counter whether paper weight was a choice that could be made when setting up the order and he said it was. I think it's pretty sneaky of Staples to set the default paper choice to the heavier -- and therefore more expensive -- paper. I asked people as they were coming into the area if they understood that paper weight was a choice and the two I asked while I was still there dealing with my own order didn't know. read more

Copy center service doesn't even rate one star. Totally disorganized. It's taken more than a week to complete a simple order of note cards. First, the design was not saved on their PC when I went to place order. Told design would be ready the next morning. Not done, hastily designed while I waited. Order promised for 2 days later. They didn't proof so 500 cards printed upside down. Promised call from mgr same day. No call. I called the next day and was told order would be ready between 3-4. Went @3:40pm, only 200 done. Spoke w/store mgr. who offered nothing but weak apology. Learned my lesson. For future print jobs I will "shop local" and support small business! Staples is no longer the store I had come to rely on in the past. Even format of online copy and print site is cumbersome and so not customer friendly. read more

$4.50 rebate + $3.21 in leftover credit = a free pack of 25 CD plastic covers. The best deal ever. I usually go to the Staples in New Hampshire to avoid paying tax, but it's not worth it to travel 10 miles for an item that costs less than $10. The cashier was very friendly and was schmoozing with her aunt when it was time to ring my order. She didn't stop talking, but since I wasn't in a hurry, that was ok. Now I know about her cousin (who had a great time at the prom and will be attending Lesley College in the fall), about her mother (who broke her arm in two places when she tripped over her own feet), and about her aunt (who sent out adorable party invitations for her daughter's upcoming HS graduation). Good times. I had her ring up my order when she started describing the procedure for putting Humpty Dumpty (her mother) back together again. This place is a typical Staples, but it had a rather small office furniture section when compared to others. Several salespeople were milling about. Not too many people in the store this afternoon. Never have a problem here! I've been here twice! They always have exactly what I need!! I actually had to return something today from another store and it was a very easy return with no problems. I also bought a computer cord that was a bit pricey. While I was waiting in line the employee actually found the exact cord just a different brand at a cheaper price and came and found me! I ask her one word to get print and laminated. She doesn't want to do it. NO STARS....I brought pictures in on Sunday to have a poster made for a wake on Friday. They told me three days. They told me I would get an email from them on Tuesday or Wednesday. Nothing. I called Tuesday and Wednesday (Today) they told be they were working on it and they would send me an email tonight. I received a phone call about 8:00 telling me that their design team said it was going to take a week and they were sorry. I am furious.....They advertise that they can do posters etc. same day. Getting copies used to be easy at Staple years ago. I waited in line for 2 people before noticing the self service area for copies. First I had the wrong machine to start the process.After trying to use the kiosk machine with my debt card it didn't work, switch machines to try cash and it wouldn't take the five I had. Finally the service desk person helped me get started using a staples card and my debt. After discovering my wife didn't remove any of the staples, needless to say the machine jammed 4 times because of us, but this didn't help the cause. I was able to unjam it but had to start the paying process again. Then my five dollars ran out, attempting to add money to the staples card didn't work. Got in line for the 3rd time but also tried to ask for help while in line about the machine not letting me add money. Since I was going on 45 minutes now, the service person let me know I had to wait my turn. Although, she was friendly the whole process to copying 100 pages should not of taken 1 hour. I thought $10 was a lot but the time in took was painful. I know I shouldn't of checked for staples but the whole paying process was frustrating. I remember handing somebody a stack of papers and they used to copy it. I was done in less than 5 minutes. The counter girl did say I could of dropped them off and come back in 2 or 3 hours and it would of been ready. read more
