From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a team of friendly experts who truly understood the urgency of my situation. Despite the store being genuinely busy with a line of people, the staff maintained an exceptional level of service. They were caring and attentive, never dismissive, which made all the difference. I was pleasantly surprised to be out in just 30 minutes, even though I anticipated a much longer wait. Special thanks to the manager and the associate at the TSA pre-check station for their professionalism and kindness. Their dedication to customer service is commendable, and it was evident that they genuinely care about their customers. Erin also deserves recognition for her outstanding customer service. I just experienced the most racist situation ever. I went to Staples to purchase cards, and this guy named Chris, who said he was the manager of printing, was so disrespectful and nasty to me. When I first came in, he didn't even make eye contact with me. He just said, "Printing or pickup?" I said, "Hi, I'm trying to print out cards. I'm not sure of the procedure, so I'm asking how I can do that." He responded very briefly and abruptly, saying something like "printme@staples.com," but he said it so fast that I couldn't catch it. I said, "Wait, excuse me, is that the email?" and he kept sitting down and ignoring me. Moments later, a white lady came in, and his whole attitude changed. He smiled at her, greeted her politely, made eye contact, and asked, "Hi, are you picking up or printing?" in a very respectful tone. He even joked with her. Meanwhile, I was still standing there for 10-15 minutes, trying to understand why he wasn't answering my questions and why he was ignoring me. I asked how long it would take and if I could see the print. He said it was already sent and that I would get a text message from an 800 number when it was ready. I said okay and left, but I was still irritated because he was very nasty and disrespectful. The next day, I came back to pick up my cards, and to my surprise, everything was illegible. You could not read the words at all except "Loyalty Card" at the top. I pulled another customer to the side and asked, "Can you read this?" because Chris was arguing with me, saying, "Yes, you can read that." The customer squinted and said, "No, I cannot read that. I can only guess based on what I heard you say." So clearly, the text was not readable. Chris continued to argue with me about it. At that point, I was very upset. He said he could give me a refund, but I explained that I needed these cards that same day. Then he said he couldn't refund me because of an issue with my card. I told him, "You know what, just give me the cards at this point," even though they were unusable. This whole experience felt racist, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. read more

This review is about their document shredding service - Staples was recommended to me (by a reliable source) as the best price for document shredding. Their subcontractor for this service is Iron Mountain, and it happended that their truck was there to pick up materials when I stopped in, so they didn't have a bin available to accept my materials. The staff person advised that it would be a 5-10 minute wait, so I asked if I could just leave my bag of stuff with him, and he could add it to the bin when it was returned. Quite properly, he politely refused, as that would violate their privacy rules for shredding. That 5-10 minutes turned out to be more like 2 minutes, so I had the pleasure of feeding my confidential materials into the locked bin without much of a delay. Note: bring your documents for shredding in a trash bag or other lightweight container - you don't want to pay for a cardboard box weight that's not part of the materials to be shredded. read more

I was referred to staples when I ran into a problem getting a very small quantity of wedding invitations printed. I went into staple's printing department and Sarah waited on me. She gave me a card with instructions on how to send file to staples. Easy and quick. Once Sarah received the file, I had to select style and paper stock. Sarah didn't seem too knowledgeable. Whenever I asked a question, she could not assist. Good thing Dan was in earshot and stepped in and gave me options and also made suggestions on the best way to print my invitations. I'm so glad that he did because who knows how my print job would have come out after dealing with Sarah. Do not place an online print order with staples the day of the initial order they place a 7 business day hold on your account for the cost of the order. Not so bad but wait there's more, the date the order is shipped they recharge your account for the purchase thus holding your money hostage because the initial 7 day hold remains in affect. And don't bother to call their overseas customer service call center for help. Because they simply apologize while following the company script and offer you no real assistance. Moral of the story either use Vista Print for your online orders or just drive to your local staples store. Not to mention the order arrived a week later than promised never again read more

I like the way the store is stocked. I usually find everything I need, but I have needed to use their copy and fax service a couple of times, and had trouble knowing how to properly use the machine, and they treated me like I was an idiot, and made sarcastic comments. This was two different workers at two different days. One day the fax machine would go through. I tried it two times on my own. Went to the guy behind the counter and he said something must be wrong, but it didn't charge you. He turned from me and went to another customer. No, concern for my plight at all. I went to another person and she acted like she really couldn't be bothered. Said I did something wrong, so she stood there and monitored me as I did it again. Wouldn't you know the same thing happened and she said the error code said the fax number was wrong. The thing is the number was correct. She told me I wasn't charged and turned from me rudely and walked away. I felt so bad that there was no one that cared enough to help me send a very important document I need for my prescription insurance. I'm a senior retired teacher, and they treated me like crap. Now I will have to find somewhere else to go to send a fax when needed. The other time I didn't know how to get a file from my phone to their machine, so I could get a copy of it. OMG! It was such an inconvenience to them that I wasn't savvy enough to understand what to do. She had very little patience and really couldn't be so bothered to explain it to me. She rushed through an explanation, and walked away to do something else. I had to figure it out for myself. They don't like to explain things at that store anymore. Found a great deal GROUPON for holiday cards from Staples. Was able to create the car online easily, and submitted late last evening. Email said should be done by 8 PM today (overnight)... received an email at 845 AM and a follow up call from "Chris" letting me know my order was ready! Pick up was quick and easy, the cards looked great, when Chris realized I was there for my holiday cards he even complimented me on my beautiful family (photos). This is my 3rd year with Staples & my holiday cards. The service & Staff (Chestnut Hill, PA) are great, and the GROUPON deal - pricing can't be beat for overnight production! I was treated poorly and disrespected by two employees when I asked them how to print two flyers. One employee yelled at me if I knew how to send emails on my phone. When I complained to the manager about this employee he shouted at the manager he was working! I suggested to the manager maybe he shouldn't be working with the public. I bought wireless earbuds and they did not fit my ears and I did not know they can cause cancer so I wanted to exchange them for wired earbuds. They refused to help because of Covid but that makes no sense because they could be cleaned and they go into your ears, not your mouth, lol! Then I asked for a discount on my new purchases and they said they might find a coupon but found nothing. I was beyond frustrated and got it shipped to this location. Because it was a large item and I live in apartment I was worried I wasn't going to be able to move it upstairs to my place. I had an all-around less than pleasant experience this morning. I ordered printer ink and post-it tabs online to save time getting in and out of the store. I get there to find that the online pickup line was also being used to serve regular store customers; so I had to wait in line. 4-5 people also lined up behind me. But, as they were regular in-store purchasers, they were allowed to check out in another line before I even made it to the cashier in the online order pickup line. The next part is my fault. It's finally my turn; and I realize that when I grabbed my cards to leave for the store, I brought every one except my ID. So despite having the email printout of my order and the debit card that I used, I had to go home to get my ID and return to the store. I get back to have to wait in line behind in-store purchasers again. The cashier sat the items in front of me, and went to move onto the next customer without even offering me a bag for the items. I had to ask for one...twice. I'm going to assume that he hadn't heard me the first time, but I shouldn't have had to ask. I think I may try a different Staples next time. read more

This is my first post on yelp and was moved to sign up and give my opinion for them based on the excellent service I got from Andrew. He works in the front in the copying area, he is a little older, and made my experience very positive, which is a lot to say from a cynic like me. We went in to make some photocopies for a flyer I made and he knew all the tricks with their machines and turned my wimpy flyer I made in power point into something that rocks. He really hooked us up, entertained us with some neat stories and jokes, and well made me want to write this. I didnt think that I could learn from him (im 25yo) but he really knew his stuff and made our flyer awesome. I never could have anticipated this outcome especially from staples. I would def go back. I rarely give 5 stars on Customer Service but they have been "wowing" my pants off. The copy print manager Joanne Brown is so professional, gets the job done and in a timely manner. Having her as the leader of the that department was a great choice by management. Her work ethics reflects through her staff. If you find that its crowed when you get there and you need more personal attention, make an appointment, and you will get undivided attention from them. Faxing may be a bit pricy but it gets where it needs to get to for sure. If you want quality you will definitely pay for it. Think of it this way....if you can't afford to shop at Neman Marcus then there is Khols and Marshalls. You pay for quality and I can appreciate quality when it comes to my business and my customers. If you want cheap you can get cheap and look cheap but not with Staples. Keep up the Great Service! read more

Just an ok Staples location. Costumer service is good and bad at times. The store layout is a little annoying and crammed. Prices are crazy high but it's relatively easy to get coupons, which makes them only a little high. The don't have as much office furniture as most Staples locations either. Overall it's convenient for me as a teacher having this close by but if there were other options equally as close I'd be going elsewhere. read more

Visited our local Staples yesterday. The staff at the print/copy dept were unable to understand my request over the phone, so when I went in I requested a manager. The asst mgr Ashley seemed friendly and easily understood my request, and made it happen in 2 minutes. I quickly realized there was some slight animosity however when the whispering started I was then asked to wait in a line to pay despite the available register. Furthermore, the fee I was asked to pay was $45 for something I had paid $15 for just weeks ago. When I inquired, the explanation was unforgiving and less than satisfactory. I was then told I was undercharged before. Poorly handled all the way around. I did not pay for the item. read more

If the late director Barry Hines were to make a film about my experience with this Staples, he would entitle it "Hell on the Hill." My ordeal began on Sunday at five o'clock when I dropped off my job, which consisted of the Herculean task of printing out four sheets of medium gloss paper. The associate said that the job would be completed in one and a half hours since they were backed up. Unbeknownst to me, this window of time put the task completed after Staples closed, which is really great if you're a tachyon particle, not so great if you spend over an hour trying to busy yourself in a shuttered yuppie town so you don't have to drive home and back. I probably wouldn't have even been plastered against the closed door screaming God is a lie if someone had called, or I was able to call them. Unfortunately, even though my number appeared twice (spoiler-a-lert, they didn't bother to call me when the job was eventually completed) on the invoice, their number did not. After the waxing and waning of caribou herds and the changing of the phases of the moon and the swearing in of President Trump, the moment had finally arrived. I let my tires know that they were going to get treated yet again to six miles of Germantown Avenue cobblestone, and off we went. It was nice to see all this industry on parade as two associate Snorlaxes at the print center were laughing and giggling over their phone. I regrettably had to interrupt their social media break in order to get my four freaken' sheets of paper, printed on super glossy with the colors an approximation of the original that mirrored the accuracy of my Apple II C printer before it pooped the bed for the last time in 1986. "Did I want to join the rewards program"?! No Sir, knowing I'd sooner drive to New Jersey in a hailstorm before ever going back to Chestnut Hill is reward enough. read more

I recently moved into this neighborhood and had a ton of copying and printing to do for the house closing. I found the copy center staff enormously helpful and pleasant to deal with. Plus, just a month after moving, I lost my cat and went there to make up flyers and posters. The copy center manager was so kind and caring, and even made up extra flyers for me. He gave me his card and asked that I let him know if I found my cat (which I did, and just called to let him know). I think this store is great...they have so many products that they often save me a trip to other stores to buy household supplies, too. read more

I've been to this Staples twice this week. Both times I noticed that the only person in the store (employee or customer) not wearing a mask (wears it below his chin, covering neither his nose or mouth) was an employee named Vaughn. On my first visit, I stayed as far from him as possible. A lovely woman named Phyllis approached me to ask if I needed help. She helped me with my copying and laminating needs, giving me the best service I've ever had at a Staples. I had to go back today. Again Vaughn had his mask below his chin. I went deeper into the store where Tarik's customer service mirrored Phyllis' from a few days ago. I was so impressed by him. I then needed something from the copy desk and Vaughn came to help. I was very uncomfortable with him coming close to me without a mask on. When he approached, he was impatient and annoyed. He remained surly throughout our interaction and unnecessarily upcharged me for "rush" service even though the store was empty and it only took him 10 minutes to do the job I required. In this time of pandemic, he is not only putting all of his colleagues and customers at unnecessary risk, but he also acts like having a job in this economy is a burden to him. He should follow the example set by his colleagues for superb service. read more
