Before I left, I spoke with a really helpful employee at the print/Ink counter who took the time to look it up for me. She was able to order exactly what I needed and even set it up with free shipping directly to my house. Honestly, I probably would have just left and ordered them on Amazon if she hadn't stepped in to help. It was great to deal with someone who actually cared and went the extra mile. I couldn't possibly recommend another location more. Besides getting my online order wrong (after confirming over the phone) for my last 3*** orders- this store is just AWFUL. There is never a single employee to be found on the floor, no sense of urgency whatsoever to help anyone, and there is ALWAYS a line 8 people deep at the minimum at the print center and return center. I walked into this store at 1:30 on the dot and just walked out at 2:21 for a **PICK UP** order. I absolutely hate coming here and will not be using this location ever again. Worked graphics copiers and two different t princess among the dozen in there. Wow. This store is super luck and so was I. The man before me needed a few dozen pics fast for a memorial. And they were done fast and well. I needed printing on the fly last minute for work. Another older guy was a local regular and knew him. Was kind to him also. We had to replace our modem from Spectrum & were instructed to take it to any store that offers UPS service & they would package it up. However, although you advertise that you are a UPS pickup & dropoff center, you refused to take it & told us that you weren't. Also. the associate didn't even try to offer where we might be able to take it. Certainly not very good customer service. read more

The most unprofessional/lazy staff ever. I don't get how other staples stores follow a crisp friendly procedures but freeport staples is really lazy and rude. You come ship something here they have crappy attitudes and make you come around the counter to do it yourself. I try to get something printed the network is down and the rep tells me sorry you gotta wait for it to be fixed when I expressed to him I'm here now you aren't doing anything he gets upset does my job and when I thank him he doesn't say anything. Only thing amazing about this place is the manager, Debbie!! I went in aug 2, 2023 at 2:20pm and made the HUGE mistake of leaving my stepdad's passport on the copier. I ran back in the store , not even 2 minutes later and the two guys behind the copy desk said no one had turned it in, and the passport was no longer in the copier or anywhere in my bag....after searching for it frantically half an hour, we asked for the manager for we were about to report the loss. Debbie was THE ONLY EMPLOYEE who went out of her way to help me. You're not going to believe this, she ended up finding it 2 feet, I REPEAT, TWO FEET from the 2 employees I had previously asked TWICE before and mind you I had asked them within minutes of it being turned in.....so obviously they/he had some plan for it..... not sure what they/he were/was going to do with it, but so glad Debbie went in the back and watched in the security camera where the employee had placed it behind the counter and gave it to me.........she is one of a kind. Im actually a former employee of about 6 years ago. So I know what it's like working for the company and being a customer to this day. In a nutshell they don't update their inventory. Staples print and marketing specifically is awful because you have employees that are unhappy and overworked which means they don't care how your products you pay money for come out. I can give so many examples from what I've witnessed and what I've received. The worst as a customer is being told you have to deal with staples online. It's like pulling teeth. The company will hire literally anyone even if they don't qualify for the position applied for such as tech. You really want to bring your phone to be fixed by a 17 year old who doesn't know what he's doing? I've worked with managers that have literally told me they're so done with the company and don't care, they have told customers to complain to cooperate. Because the hire up doesn't care. Over all the customer service sucks because the employees are treated like garbage. And I have worked in multiple locations. It's not like it was only one store with issues. read more

Terrible experience. I came in to print and scan two items. I immediately asked the counter staff for help and she told me what to do. Then I stood there for a few minutes before she came back pointing to printing machines. As I print the second document, it comes out in the wrong format - cutting off the top of letter. She tells me to use another machine and money will be refunded. Two machines broken, other people calling for help. Lack of interest from workers having their own private conversations instead of helping. Not coming back although it's the closest location to my home. read more

Terrible location. The parking lot is shared with Home Depot and it is always jacked full. A lot of migrant workers lounging around looking for work. The store is dirty and doesn't feel like their other chain locations. I needed to print off a couple of 8x10 photos. There is no self-serve like at kinkos. Had to wait in line for 15-minutes so that they could do it on a computer. Only problem with that is the fact that there is ONE computer for the employees to do all their print and design work. I had to leave without getting photos because I was pressed for time in the first place. If they had a self-serve machine I woulda been out in 5-minutes. Had they had more computers I could have accomplished my needs. Instead I had to run to the train station so I wouldn't miss my train and I'm heading I to the city empty handed. Terrible experience no one was helpful at this location and what really made this experience terrible was the fact I ended up having to use the bathroom and to my surprise they feel like they don't need to clean their restrooms. I will not post a picture of the restroom but I will post a picture of what they leave in there for customers, apparently we need to clean up the restroom for them. read more

The service here is terrible!! As a teacher I try to avoid this place but sometimes I can't avoid it.

I charged a $230 printer on my credit card. Within a few hours I recieved a fraudulent use email from Chase bank. Within the next four hours after I used my card at Freeport staples, a dozen online charges which were not placed by me. Dont trust the staff at Staples. The Freeport police should be visiting them soon! read more

I visited this Staples Store today and I walked away DISGUSTED!!!!!!!! The reason for my visit was to drop off a UPS package that was sitting in my car for months. There were two women behind the counter helping a couple of customers with some sort of print job. It was early in the morning, so I didn't mind waiting. One of the women finally came over and acknowledged me. I told her what I needed to ship and asked her if she had a box that would fit my item. She politely told me she didn't have the size box that I needed and told me that I needed to buy one from the store. Not a problem, I went into the aisle that had the boxes, went to the cashier and paid for my item. Now I go back to the UPS desk where the two women are still helping the two customers that were there before, not a problem I begin to pack my item in order to save time. This is where everything goes straight to s--t. As I'm using the wrapping tape to seal my box, the other woman that was behind the counter yells across at me and tells me it's going to cost me $1.00 for using the wrapping tape. I thought to myself that's odd, but I'm willing to pay. Right then and there I decided to stop using the tape and wait for one of these women to come over and help me because, I don't want to do anything that will get me yelled at again. I must have been standing there for a good five minutes or so. Not one of these women bothered to acknowledge me or tell me they would be over to help me shortly. One of them could have easily come over to help me, because the same two customers that they were helping when I first walked into the store, were the same ones that they already had attended to. Finally a guy by the name of Damian, who just started his shift came out and helped me. As this guy is helping me pack my box, the same woman who yelled at me before is now telling Damian to charge me for the box, which I already paid for and the wrapping tape.What made me so upset is that this same woman never bothered to come over and help me, but yet she's yelling across at Damian telling him what he needs to ring me up for. Bottom line, I will NEVER go to this Staples store again. The only way I will ever set foot in this establishment cis if they hire more people like Damian. He was kind, helpful and knew what it meant to provide good customer service. read more

I was in the Freeport store yesterday if I had read the reviews yesterday I would not have wasted my time! Your 2 associates in the printing department are so rude unpleasant and unprofessional .. Upon entering the copy center I'm yelled at by a woman in a red shirt barking orders to not enter and pointing to a red strip of tape on the floor then the woman behind the counter wearing a blue shirt clearly not interested at being at WORK! Also rude and the reason I walked away she pulls out a tissue and starts wiping her nose!! She didn't even use hand sanitizer after touching her nose!! Your staff is worried about customers germs and yet lacking in sanitary conditions at WORK! If you want customers to know what to do put SIGNS UP!! I went in to have some papers printed out. The staff member had to make multiple corrections becuase their Microsoft Word is from 2010 and there was compatibility issues. If they are a professional print location, they should have up to date software. This delayed me 10 minutes. The staff member was helpful though and worked out the issues. I have a feeling that if I had gotten someone else less helpful my prints wouldnt have come out properly. read more

Just disgusted with the staff and "manager" Jeff. waited online this Saturday for copy center. 20 minutes. Young woman with purple hair who came to help started with an attitude. I explained I needed to make a book and she was not the least helpful. Finally, I tried doing it as if talking to a child so she would understand easier. She went to copy the cover page and inverted the whole thing, making me loose my original. Disgusted she simply turned me over to the young man who was already overworked. So ended up walking out with a ruined page and a wasted hour. I'm having surgery and this was a book for my aunt that she screwed up for me. The other reviews are completely right that this parking lot is shared and is always crowded. Additionally, I was saddened to see that the place was closed today for network issues. But, I have found the workers there to be helpful compared to other Staples. Staples sucks in general! But I feel that the workers here are actually better and more helpful than most. read more

This is easily the worst location they have. I have tried twice and have been horrified at the service each time. Both times they "Didn't receive the order." The first time I showed up after I got the email saying my printings were ready, got there and they weren't. Told us to come back in an hour. Figured it was a one off and a miscommunication. Following month I needed something printed same day. Do it early in the morning online (it's only 10 pages- shouldn't take that long but needed it on nice paper that I didn't have at home), by 445 pm haven't gotten the ready email so called the store. Was on hold for 10 minutes before I got "yes" so I explained the situation politely and got "ugh, god hold on" to which he must have turned to the guy next to him, says "customer didn't get email or some shit about package they ordered" he comes back to the phone and says "manager said if you didn't get an email you didn't order it correctly... I explain it was prints and he's like "ugh okay different department" and puts me on hold. That was 18 minutes ago, I'm still waiting for someone to answer.. read more
