This is similar to other Staples stores, but with a smaller selection. They did not have plain white nonglossy poster board. Things were expensive. Almost $10 for a packet of sticky notes? There's lots of parking and it's near the highway, but I would travel to Walmart instead. There isn't a lot of value here unless you are in the area and need something in a hurry. read more

SOLID. Folks here are ultra nice, never too busy to help and the copy and print center here is by far the best I've had the opportunity to try in Mass. Period! Set up just like any other staples store and because its sorta in the middle of nowhere, ( Gardner) I can say I am able to find anything I need and its in stock for the 1 hour pick up. This is the first time I have ever gotten anything printed from here. I ordered business cards, created them through the website, and paid for them (they looked fantastic)! My emailed receipt from staples showed me what product I would receive (which was exactly what I ordered). When I picked it up, parts of the top words were cut off and there was a strip of white at the bottom so I brought them back to see if they could simply reprint them. I was met by Josh- the copy and print supervisor who was on the highest power trip that a Gardner Staples Copy&Print Supervisor could possibly be on. He talked to me like I was 5. Told me "you have to understand that we cut on paper and you are looking at a phone screen." so I asked him if it was a gamble every time I ordered something from here that it may not be the product I'm told I'm going to get and he said "kind of, all of our cutting machines vary from store to store". I reiterated again that I was just appreciate it if they could try to produce the product that their company told me I would get. He, very rudely, took my name and number said "we'll give it a shot" and walked away. I'm super confused because based off of that experience and conversation I truly believe I may not get the products I pay for....also somebody needs to demote Josh. read more

Erica and Andrew was a big help to my mom and I when ordering invitations. Andrew was helpful in-store by showing us options. When we were ready and sent an email over to this Staples print center, Erica was super prompt with replying and fulfilling our order. She was able to do it in the same day! Friendly and accommodating team - I couldn't ask for better service. Plus, their prices were the best I found in the Worcester to Gardner area. read more

I was sorely disappointed with my service at the Staples store in Gardner, MA. We arrived right around opening time on a Sunday to purchase pens, and a few other small items. We spent around $25.00, but had a coupon that we received in the mail for $10.00 off. When we headed to the cashier, 2 out of the 4 items that we purchased rang up wrong. It seems to me that if things are on sale or clearance, then they should be coded properly since a lot of people do not look at the price on the register. Had we not been diligent, we would have been overcharged! The second item that rang up wrong was a clearance item, and my boyfriend swiped his card before I could catch it. We were overcharged by $2.60. I asked for the funds back, but the cashier could not figure out how to do it since we had used a coupon. The manager was right behind him, but did not focus on our issue so we waited for quite some time. The cashier told us 'this might take a while' as if we would just leave after being overcharged. He played around with the system for a while, and finally refunded $3.xx to my boyfriends card. He then wanted to re-charge us for the item. I asked if we could just take the existing refund and the item and go since a line was building and I was completely frustrated at this point. He said no, you can't have the item then.,,,,and so I waited some more and he pushed more buttons until he got a receipt...handed it to us and said'oh I guess you aren't going to be charged anymore', gave us our item and we left. What a waste of at least a half an hour of my life, the cashier's life and the lives of the people behind us. I think this store needs to get organized and focus more on customer service. I don't think I'll be back since there are plenty of other options out there for office supplies like pens and paper. read more
