I went into the store and had to make 20 copies for my accountant. I thought this was going to be a nightmare but Santiago said: "I will help you". Santiago made all the copies for me in a matter of 8 minutes!and the total was $2.15. You just do not find a person like him, he made this a joyful experience, actually had me laughing (which I really needed) Staples should be very proud to have an employee like Santiago in every store. As I was leaving I spoke to the manager Paul and he is the nicest down to earth person and I really like that quality in a person. Paul made sure everything went fine and I told Paul the manager about Santiago. This is the second time I was treated so nicely. I shopped at the Staples store on El Toro Road in Lake Forest. I bought a three pack of Pentel liquid gel pens. I also bought a large 2018 calendar so that we can write all the appointments, and places I want to eat. :) That store was the busiest I went to that day. I wasn't the only customer wandering around looking for something while employees huddled in groups chatting or doing something other than helping customers. I finally interrupted a cashier (doing her job) and asked her what aisle toner was on. She didn't know but a customer in her line pointed me in the right direction. When I found the toner aisle, they did not have the TN330 or 360 Brother model I needed, but instead stocked a much more expensive high-yield model (750 model?) for just under $85. Thanks for the options. So I stood there on Staples' toner aisle and ordered TN330 toner on my phone from Amazon ($45). Then I went to the restroom, which was a filthy mess. In sum, what I experienced here was plenty of employees, but not much work getting done; and only high end options in the product I drove all the way here to buy. read more

I frequent this location for ALL my business purchases because it is close to the business I own. The staff is always so helpful and kind with any questions I have. Today I went to the print center for the first time for a personal need and when I expressed I needed direction on how to use the self-service printer I was walked through this process without any hesitation or grumpiness...since it was a self-service machine I was expecting "a read the printer" kind of answer. The store manager (I believe) stayed for the first print to make sure we had the hang of it but as soon as he walked away we got a "printer needs attention error". Ted came by to help immediately and when he couldn't resolve the issue immediately, he found another means for us to get the copies we needed. He also answered the questions I with regards to other larger prints I'd be doing in the future. He was extremely helpful and turned what was a stressful and long day for me around. I will be printing the rest of the items I need at this location. The store is extremely clean, always well stocked and parking is ample. Staples is going to be my go-to for all my business/personal office supplies/printing needs. read more

I've come here four times within the last week, and I have to say what POOR quality customer service they have. Completely understaffed, the lines to checkout are always so LONG. Managers and customer service will just look around acting like their too busy to help or pay attention to customers. The three times I've come here previously, I've used their office section to make copies of color images I have onto card stock. The first time I was charge $23.50 The SAME amount of pages the second time cost me $28.70?!? The third time they didn't have what I needed. Today I go in, and an old man that works in the office section today tells me that he cannot print my pages because they are illegal. When I start laughing thinking he is joking, he tells me what I'm doing is illegal? He tells me I'm copywriting images. When I show him they are mine, he continues to tell me what I'm doing is illegal. Copyrighting my own images is somehow illegal? What? Would not recommend, Never coming back. read more

As a college student this staples has always been my go-to for printing due to location. The staff are always great however I want to give a shout out to the people who work in the printing section. We have come here two days in a row during Black Friday weekend. I needed to drop a print job off with Santiago and we worked with Ali to buy a new HP 17 inch laptop. Matt and Diana at the Tech Support counter were the absolute best! I came in with my laptop panicking because it is my only computer and my kids all have to share it for school. They calmed me down and reassured me that it was fixable. They were so kind and professional. They talked to me to get my mind off of the stress I was feeling. I have never experienced so much patience and willingness to help on a moments notice. I had no appointment and they started fixing it on the spot. This is an odd location for a Staples but somehow it works. In this strip mall location, I can eat some fabulous food, shop for groceries, stock up on food/supplies for my cat, buy furniture, buy discounted clothing, hiking shoes, and get office supplies. It's quite an eclectic mix but it works so I'm happy. This is a smaller location but I can print, fax, email, etc. The staff isn't too terribly friendly but whatever. Staff wasn't too available. We actually had to hunt one down to find out where we could find our product and instead of taking us there, he just pointed and said a row. We then had to spend a couple minutes scanning that row to find the particular item we needed. The store wasn't all that crowded so the employee very easily could've walked over with us and pointed out exactly where it was. Then ad check out, the woman there was a bit frazzled. Maybe it's because she was training, but she seem to be tripping over everything she was saying and doing. I wish she had just stopped, taken a breath, and continued. Nice store, clean, and well stocked. Employees stocking through out the store were kind and helpful. The helpfulness of one associate during checkout, however, left a lot to be desired. During checkout I was having trouble using my Staples Rewards on the Staples app, so I tried using it on Apple Pay. Neither option would work. The associate basically stood there staring. When I wouldn't give up trying he finally stepped in to help. I was shocked to see on his name tag that it was the Assistant Manager that was helping me. (Don't know his name, but has a beautiful accent.) Not sure if that store needs to better train their employees on their own Staples app as well as the Staples' offered option of Apple Pay or find more employees that care to be helpful. read more

If I could give this staples photo and printing service ten stars I would . I placed the order for my save the dates online . My time was quoted for pick up the next day which I expected but to my surprise I received an email later that day that my order was ready to go ! I called to confirm and was greeted by Santiago . Santiago also helped us with some baby shower invitations a few months back and just like last time he was so sweet and always has an awesome attitude . You definitely feel like your business is valued . And that was just over the phone . I arrived at the store to pick up my order and there was a mistake on the order which was no mistake made by staples just a transparency issue / formatting on the online program . Santiago decided to take immediate action and helped me redo my order on his computer. I was surprised he didn't send me home to come back because they were literally about to close. Even when the system gave up on us a couple times he didn't give up and he made sure I got my order corrected immediately and that I left happy . Thank you so much Santiago for all your help ! Second time coming here with subpar service. What is the point of telling customers that "your order is ready" when you guys dont do anything to make it ready. I show up with 1 person in line and the guy at the register tells me someone will be up to help me. TEN customers later and I've recieved zero service. There is a pile of merchandise waiting to be picked up by other online orders but where is mine? No clue. I got my ready to pick up email about 4 hours ago and it's not ready. So I see this line growing....it's about 8 people deep and I think to myself, if I dont do something about this im going to be here forever. So I go to the printer section, get the printer, and wait in line. I make it to the register and the guy at the register tells me that he can't check me out and that I had to have the desk complete the order. What should have been 5 minutes ended up taking 20. At least I now know to never use their buy online option. read more

Each time Omar, who I believe is the Store Manager and Fran got promoted and is a different dept. I have never written a yelp review before. I went in To buy a printer and the staff was very helpful however, I noticed that every printer in the department was dusty, if not dirty. I went to check out and walked by the laptop department and noticed that all of those laptops were dusty and dirty - with one of them having what looked like eraser shavings all over it. I told the sales man at checkout and he said that one woman was responsible for all the dusting once a week at closing time. (And she's on vacation). I suggested that maybe The staff could dust and clean as they walked and monitored the department working as a team.I'm sure they have plenty of time as they restock ... A young man came to help me with my carry out and I noticed the phone at the checkout was also incredibly dusty. I ran my finger across it and gave him a questioning look. He said "we have applications if you want to fill one out" Surprised, I responded by saying "I do not think that is my job". At any rate, I don't think your staff should speak in such a flippant way to their customers. I just shows that you have hired lazy employees who have better things to do than take pride in the company they work for. I will most likely go to Amazon next time. read more

So I'm actually at staples a lot. My husband owns a retail location, something is always needed from here. This trip, I needed to pick up trash bags (tried Walmart and target first they were not the right size and this was where they had the most quantity for the best price and fit the trash bin). I also wanted to see if they had cash money bags for my employees to place tax money into instead of an envelop. They had both fantastic! Price for the trash bags were extremely reasonable. Price in the money bags ... Eh they could be slightly cheaper. I found them at Walmart for half the price actually. This particular store I felt was slightly messy. The origination of where items are located were not as great as other locations I've been into. It was not that dirty so that's a plus. Things were not out of place so that's also a bonus. 4 stars for being disorganized and lack of selection in comparison to other staples. read more

Approx 15 months ago I bought an HP printer from this staples and was offered an extended warranty. I said no thank you, but he insisted it was so great, that if you have any problems within the 3 year warranty just bring it in an get a new one or one of equal value. Well I found out he flat out did not tell the truth. You have to deal with HP and all they would do is send me a $150 voucher for Staples (My printer was $335) DO NOT BUY any extended warranty from them!!! read more

To be honest, I've never stepped into this Staples until I had major computer problems today when my laptop wouldn't start. My dad told me that this place has a tech team that only works on broken/not working laptops. So, here I came. The tech guy (Raj) got my laptop to start and he did a scan on the computer, coming to realize that someone (or multiple someones) had hacked into my computer and put over 100 viruses into my computer. This all had happened recently since the computer was working fine about 24 hours beforehand. 30 minutes later, $200 spent and with the promise that my computer would be done Monday by 4pm (so I could pick it up on the way to school), my 1.5 year old laptop was left in the hands of Raj. I just hope my computer turns out OK! Also in the $200 pricetag, if I have anymore computer problems within the next 12 months, if I bring it to Staples, they'll take care of it for me. At least I have that! From now on, I know to check to make sure my virus protection is up-to-date and to always keep up on my laptop's health! Cheers! :) read more

Due to the ignorant and unhappy senior citizen at your front counter who asked me, "can't your read the sign", then proceeded to be an asshole when I was at the pick up counter.
