The printing process it pretty simple. They provide you an email address where you would send the pictures that you would like to print. Once sent, you receive a one time code to then enter for printing. You have to added your credit or debit card first. You can make changes and preview what you would like printed. Third times a charm? Recently used their printing and marketing services to order business cards, since I was going out of town and needed them quickly.By the third time they got it just about right. Designed my cards online at Staples.com called the 1-800 number to ask about the cards, but they gave me the wrong info, so when they were printed, it wasn't what I wanted. Call 1-800 number again, then go online to redesign the cards( put the back design on the front and the front design on the back) and then have them printed again at Staples' cost. It should have been that simple but it wasn't. Someone had went in and cropped my front design, And on the back Capitalized something that wasn't supposed to be plus accidentally deleted a letter in my title, causing a misspelling. It was not how I designed the card. So I call the 1-800 number again and they say they don't know what happened. They had to call the store. Then I get a call from the store. She asked what the problem was, so I told her. Then she asked if I liked the cropping and my response was that I just want the card that I designed online printed as-is.... like who gives you the right to edit any of my marketing materials? If I wanted your thoughts or opinions, I would have asked. Third time at the store, I'm waiting, fingers crossed, hoping that this is the last time I have to drive here. Cards are fine. The front was still cropped but the cards are at least usable. When I said I needed to check the cards because it was my third time here, The customer service woman seemed annoyed. She wasn't even the least bit empathetic or apologetic, she just made an excuse saying that they were having trouble printing. I didn't bother getting into what really happened... It's funny that I remember having a Staples reward card, and using them many many years ago. Now I wonder if a previous incident like this is why I stopped going... Tried to return an unopened computer after the two week limit. I think I'm at four right now. Told absolutely not under no circumstances could I return a computer that I bought here. I said I can show you that it was a transaction. The 20 something things there were three of them were incredibly rude. I tried to keep my Cool and did this. It is not a store. I would go back to. What happened to Customer Service, it's a group of people that are probably at their first job. I wish them well. I surely hope they don't have to sell anything that wouldn't work very well for them. Even though Staples is a chain retailer, they seem to have a very comprehensive selection of anything and everything you might need in an office. I had been in before to use their print services, purchase office supplies, and look at chair furniture. I was hoping to find a very specific gift to help a friend with the organization of their receipts and bills. Unfortunately, they did not carry anything of gift quality. Staples in Milford, CT recently started taking Amazon returns and they lost the package I returned. I didn't realize that I didn't get a refund until a week later and went back to the store to find out what happened. The general manager, Kate, printed out a paper for me and told me to call the number on it to contact Amazon. There is a large paragraph at the bottom of the page and after reading it, I found no contact number for Amazon. Staples is not capable of handling the large number of Amazon returns and managers who give out incorrect information shouldn't be managers. read more

Went to staples to do a price match on an item we bought less than 4 days ago and an obnoxious cashier started to yell we don't do price match without the item and it was purchased in a different state which was NY. I was very pleased with the other cashier who said let me go check and she did and she state because it was in warehouse no price match could be done. I was very happy with how she handled it and applaud her. That little girl need to learn customer service etiquette. read more

I went to purchase a laptop here this evening. After searching the web and doing some research I settled on Dell that was around $300. The woman who worked at the computer station had the personality of a wet blanket. She was a rude, condescending know-it-all. I understand that she knows more about computers then I do but she made me feel inferior and stupid. She tried to pressure me to purchase various things that I did not want or need, despite being told NUMEROUS times that I had a strict budget. When I politely declined the add ons she became very rude, matter of fact and short with me. She seemed to care more about getting her "perks" for selling me extra crap rather than my needs. I was so close to walking out but the computer I wanted was over 100 bucks more everywhere else. Avoid the computer section like the plague and you'll do just fine. read more

"Associate needed at the ink department" That's what I heard at least 7 times during my 50 min visit this afternoon. This location seems to have an employee shortage or they simply refuse to come help the poor girl "in training" (according to her name tag) in the printing department. The first time I came here I was just going to drop off a package but ended up leaving because they were taking so eternally long to help people at the shipping desk. Today it was the same story except I couldn't afford to just walk out this time. I had to wait 20 min to be helped because all the other employees at the registers and the store couldn't come over to help with the queue. The employees here are not rude, they are nice and all but overall service sucks. FYI... 3-ring binder prices here are redic. Target has them cheaper. read more

Just wow... cashier didn't understand basic math. Insisted the computer was right when it wasn't. Took 25 minutes to buy batteries with a coupon. Won't be returning unless it's to pick up something pre-ordered. Cannot let my IQ suffer again. Really wondering what the hiring requirements are here. I went in to look for some home office furniture. The place was hopping and the staff was struggling mightily to meet the demand. I had to wait a while and I found a small desk that I liked, on sale but out of stock. I wanted it right away but I settled on having it shipped( for free). But I could not be told when it would arrive and was told there was no way to track it. I was looking for an organized and sturdy binder to hold and transport all of my on-call paperwork and notepad paper. Happily I found this store had a GREAT selection and many different options. Prices were reasonable and my choice is working out very well. Upon waiting in line behind 2 other customers, the store Manager quickly opened an adjacent register to check me out faster, which was very appreciated, because really, who LIKES to wait in line? Definitely NOT me! She was very friendly and speedy and I even got a coupon on my receipt for next time...and show of hands who else LOVES to get free, random coupons? ME!! So because it was such a nice day, I thought I would go to staples to pick up a phone. I get there and there is a phone I want but there are no more left. One of the staff comes up to me and asks me if I need help so I told him I wanted that phone and he said there were no more but he checked online and told me that there were 2 at the Hamden store. So, since I wanted the phone today, I drove to the Hamden store. No big deal. I get to Hamden and I walk in. (Let's just say this, you're not going to find any of these people at the next Mensa meeting.) I walk straight to the phones and see the display phone, but again, no boxes. I take the display phone to the front since there is nobody in sight to help me and I show it to this woman and tell her that I was just at the Milford store and that they told me there should be 2 here but that there were none in boxes. She tells me that if there is no box, they do not have any. So she looks online using whatever device they give her... and she sees the same thing -- that there should be 2 in that store. She calls someone to help me and he walks me back to where the phones are. He stares at the empty shelf as if a phone may appear out of thin air if he stands there long enough and actually puts his hand in the EMPTY area where the boxes for this phone should be and then says (as if this is something I do not yet know) "it should be here." Then he goes in the back for a minute and returns to tell me they do not have any. He clearly didn't care at all and just told me that the Milford store should have called. So I ask to speak to the manager who told me that the system is not accurate and that you have to call. That was the answer. So I leave and on my drive back, I call the Milford store and speak with the manager who tells me the same. The system counts damaged items or something and that you have to call. So, I go home and find the same phone on amazon for $25 less and I bought it and I will have it tomorrow. It amazes me that a company of this size doesn't have a simple answer to a BASIC logistics issue which is to know when a product is or is not in stock. Knowing that it's a completely BROKEN system, how is it ok to tell people a store has something and not verify it? Complete waste of time. read more

Stephen in the computer department is the best. He was above and beyond when it came to his knowledge and assistance. He helped me figure out what laptop was suitable for my needs. (I chewed his ear off for about 2 hours). He recommended a higher priced one but was not shoving it down my throat like some stores do. This Staples location has really risen in quality in the past few years. They have a fantastic staff and really go above and beyond to help out with printing stuff, cutting stuff, and selecting appropriate merchandise. I would give it 5 stars, but their computer repair service is a joke. Do yourself a favor and take it to Geek Squad, Newegg, or one of the big names that has a staff of experts. read more

Went to this Staples yesterday (7/22/15) to look at and purchase a TI-89 Titanium calculator ((~$160). There were none on the shelf so the sales associate said he would go to the back to check. As he's leaving, he allows another customer to distract him from taking care of my request (I'm thinking he's just going to assist her as he's walking to the back). 15 minutes later, no associate. I go to leave and find the same sales associate working a check out lane!! Another sales associate/(manager?) saw my face and asked if they could help me. I explained what happened and said I was leaving to make my purchase elsewhere. One of my son's heard him say, "OK, that's cool!". Really? No apology or additional offer to help. If you want customer service, go to another store that doesn't have young distracted kids working there. read more
