The management and print center staff are outstanding. I had a self-imposed issue with a print I did and they came through and got it corrected in a matter of hours. I have use this location for customized printing on four occasions in past month. On one occasion, the staff explained to me the best way to format the documents so it would print professionally. I went back to the office, made the suggested changes, and uploaded the documents. It was ready within 2 hours. Yesterday I decided to challenge them - I took a name plate from our office and said "I need these names in twelve name plates". The staff measured the name plates, told me which template to use online, upload the names and titles, and once again, done by the end of the day, they even cut the printed cards into the right size. read more

This place is terrible. They waste so much time, especially at the printing department. They're so unhelpful and have an attitude, even to other customers that were in the store along with me. I came back 3 times to wait for them to fix a custom printing order over the course of 2 days, just for them to tell me the third time that they're gonna have to cancel my order. While I'm IN THE STORE AT MY PICKUP TIME. They said they "sent an email and tried to call" but they didn't. I'd have been fine with them canceling it if that actually even happened and I didn't waste a drive in rush hour Narcoossee traffic just for them to lie to my face. They never called or emailed and never cancelled or even refunded my order. The staff just seem like they hate their jobs and are taking it out on everyone who walks in. The store itself has seen better days. It needs some updating. The salesman was on it and right there with us when we were looking at chairs. The selection on items seems limited but I found some office items on sale, so I'm happy. If we ended up buying a chair from there, for a charge, they would assemble it. I am very upset with the customer service and outcome of my trip to Staples. I am a struggling teacher trying to get the materials for my students, so that they can excel in school. I came in to buy folders for 20 of my students. Each student needs 1 red, 1 blue, 1 yellow, and 1 green. That equates to 80 folders total, which I am using my own money for. I am aware that there is a policy for 30 folders at 15 cents each, but that makes it incredibly hard for teachers to get the necessary supplies that they need for their students. I asked if the store had folders in stock, but was given very rude responses, as if, I should be aware that the folder limit was 30. I will not be coming back to this Staples location as I am very disappointed that company makes it so difficult for teachers to buy materials for their students. read more

Not pleased with the sales clerk at all. I wanted a gamer chair, on sale, they had it there, in fact the box it came in was even out on the floor just to grab and bring to checkout. I asked the salesperson a question and he said you can just buy online and there is no shipping cost. I figured oh nice, no need to lug this heavy box to my car, in my car, then out and inside, just order online. Deceptive salesperson doesnt mention there is a $13 "handling" fee for buying online and getting it shipped. On Saturday August 30, 2024 I went to purchase a few items from this location. There was an employee a man, tall, thin, long hair working there. I went to purchase 2 office chairs. I saw one that I wanted. The box was up high and I could not get it down. I asked for assistance because I had shoulder surgery and I am a senior citizan and I am under medical treatment. The employee stated to me "the box is not heavy it is light." I had to get it myself, I was looking for the other office chair that I was interested in and there was none in the store only the display chair. The employee stated to me that it costs $20 more because it is assembled. My wife asked "can't we get a discount since it is used?" He stated no. We asked for a manager and there was none on duty. We asked if there was another Staples in the area and he said we needed to look ourselves. I know they have access to search in another store. This store has very poor customer service. We searched around and we went to the store on Colonial Dr. and they had the office seat I was looking for. We were contacted by the manager at Narcoossee Rd. his name is Eric we asked for the employees name and he refused to give it to us and that he would take care of it. We had to take the seat to Narcoossee to have it assembled. When we picked up the chair we paid the assembly fee. When we went to pick up the seat we saw the manager Eric and the employee looking at us and laughing. I had to lift the chair on my own again. I recently placed an order online for 1 hour store pickup. This was my first time using this service that Staples provides. I was very pleased with the experience. Once you place the order you receive an e-mail confirmation once your order is ready for pickup. BEWARE, just because you placed the order does not guarantee they have it in stock. Make sure you check for the confirmation e-mail prior to going to pick up your order. Staff - very friendly and helpful. The cashier immediately called into the back to have them bring my order up. Overall, I was very pleased and will gladly use this online service again. read more

Update 2: I'm still happy with how things go here, for the most part. The staff that work on computers, and check out staff are good. ('Print and Scan' employees, still not too good.) The hiring practices are odd, because one of the associate managers pushed me repeatedly to work there, as I had an interest. (He even approached me at a grocery store, which was fine. I appreciated his interest, and still think it'd be great to work there.) The main manager has never called me for an interview, and when I come in and ask him, it never seems to go anywhere. I'm shocked by the treatment of teachers by this location and staples as a whole. I was ignored by passing work personnel three separate times while obviously not finding what I was looking for. After I got to someone I asked an unmarked employee if they work here as he was holding a box. I asked if they sell the bulk packs of folders and where to find them. He made me repeat my question then replied only with "we've never sold those in store, only online. These are the only folders you can buy in store." Coming from customer service jobs for over 10 years I'm shocked at his tone, his bothered attitude and the lack of apologizing for the inconvenience. Then I tried to buy the folders separately and there is a limit of 30 at the price of 15cents. How are teachers supposed to support their classrooms? There should be a loophole for teachers specifically. I know and understand that is a company policy. This review is based solely off of the lack of care from store employees. Incredible service at the print center! I'm running a conference at a nearby hotel and we needed name badges, labels, and letters printed- stat! An employee at the print center helped my coworker get agendas printed while I quickly grabbed name badges, labels, and envelopes. The store was very clean and well organized. As he finished up, she helped me load the labels and badges to get everything printed quickly. Everything was done in about ten minutes, she then rang us up and we were on our way! I only wish I wasn't flustered and was able to get the employee's name- she definitely deserves a kudos! read more

I ordered an item online when I picked it up July 2nd, everyone acted like they could not help me or i was a bother. I come to return the laptop simply because it's not as big as I'd like and again everyone is helpless and cannot help. I wasn't able to return because I did not have a box. Very small Staples in my opinion. The inventory here is very lackluster when it comes to electronics; this Staples is more geared toward office supplies. Instead if you want to go to Staples I'd recommend the East Colonial Store that's massive in comparison. The people here are nice but I've never found anything I need here without it being ridiculously overpriced as Staples normally is. I came into the store holding a very heavy printer to return it. I asked an associate where to go to return it and he rudely answered "over here". The associate just stared at me when I set the printer on the counter and didn't ask what the issue was or greet me in anyway. I explained to him why I was returning the printer and he just nudged and paged his manager. His manager came over and stated "yeah we're not taking that back. HP isn't going to accept anything without a box." I explained that I had called the store earlier that day to return it and that I didn't have the box and they said that was ok. The manager said it doesn't matter we aren't accepting that. So I picked up the printer and left. Before I got into my car another customer came out and said that the store manager and associate were talking bad about me once I left. Funny I had no receipt because they kept it with the original return a month before. Would never buy a notepad from them again or anything else. I was in town for a conference and needed business cards printed. Haley was a huge help! She helped me design the cards and they look awesome! I've gotten many compliments on them. Also, she completed the order for me while I waited in the store so I could get the cards ASAP. I was a bit frazzled as I'd just driven to a Staples location that was still listed in my GPS but had closed down, I then drove to this location in rush-hour traffic, and it was storming.
