Stubborn am I to change, purchased the same model, the M187. But inspired by the encouragement of Brendan I enacted the first steps, by choosing a new color. Walking in there, while one employee is setting a display, i wait for 10 min before getting door to as i'm waiting to get help with printing out a couple documents. An assistant manager and another employee come over and neither could help. The manager comes over and assist to gave me a .60 cent card in order for me to assistto myself printing while others are waiting to as well. The machine only printed "sent from my iphone" instead of whole document. Now once again i need help because I've now been attempting printing two pages for over 20 min. I end up walking away and going to the register to explain my frustration, the employee looked up my .60 cent card and says there's nothing there and waiting for management again. This store is the worst Staples I've EVER been to. All together i was in there for 30min to walk out leaving my card i bought and no printouts. God forbid an employee couldn't use their big printout station rather have a customer experience what i did and the customer being me. I wasted my time, my money and patience. I will NEVER go back read more

I bought a computer from Staples but when I started to use it Microsoft OneDrive was activated by me unknowingly. I saved half of my photos when Microsoft told me OneDrive was full and I needed to but more storeage I still had a lot of space on the computer drive. Cold not figure out how to in sync OneDrive. Went back to Staples and spnt a lot of time with Don. Their Teck guy. He had the issues that I did. He finally came at it from another direction and disabled OneDrive and moved my photos to the computer drive Don was very patient and explained what he was doing. Could not have had a better experience. Everyone at the Rutland Stapes are great. Five stars read more

We purchased an HP laptop back in July. Less than a year later there is an issue with the hinge. Contacted Staples and they just pass the buck and say to contact HP. They don't even bother to document the case or do any sort of follow up, just try to get you off the phone. They should have some sort of responsibility for the product they sell. HP's service is poor it's nearly impossible to reach anyone. read more

There are few times that I have returned an item I badly needed but the staff at this store, from salesman to manager, went so far out of their way to pressure me to buy an extended warranty that they gave me no choice. As I was checking out, one of them came to the register and at the top of his voice DEMANDED to know why I wasn't getting the loss leader aka extended warranty. Went home, found a better laptop with next day free delivery, cheaper price than what I had found at Staples and no extended warranty pressure. I even spoke to the manager who was bored with my complaint. I've spent thousands at Staples-no more. read more

Staples has provided the very worst customer service I've experienced in a very, very long time. I actually didn't realize customer service could be this poor anymore. I erroneously assumed that in the age of social media and constant interconnectedness, that an online merchant would be a bit more careful about providing truly abysmal customer service, but apparently not. I suppose the one positive thing I can say about Staples is that their customer service was as bad as I could have possible imagined and, in that sense, they exceeded my expectations. read more

I'm not exactly much of a shopper especially for the types of things that Staple's carries, but I ventured in there this afternoon. I had an appointment for my internet to get installed in my new house & realized I didn't have a wireless gateway to hook up to it. So into Staples I ventured to find one. They had plenty to pick from in a range of prices that boggled me. $20 seemed way too cheap and they topped out at $300 which is insane for a home gateway. I settled on one for $40 and checked out quickly. The place seemed a lot smaller than I remember Staples in MA being, but I don't think I'd been in one in many years so it could just be my memory. That said I think it would serve most people's random business supply needs that don't feel like waiting for an order from online to come in the mail. read more

Stopped into this Staples back in early December to browse computers as I was going to purchase one as a gift. Knowing their 'easy' yet stringent return policy on computers I was not planning on purchasing that day. An employee informed me not to worry about the 14 return policy. She said if I brought it back sometime after Christmas that'd be just fine. That they were lenient with holiday time returns. On her statement, and the further confirmation from the guy at check-out, I purchased the computer. Lo and behold the computer was not the desired one and two days after Christmas (on the 27th) I attempted to return the computer. They told me no. That it was over the time. The computer hadn't even been taken out of the box, not even opened. I tried calling to get in touch with the manager but to no avail. Constantly put on hold and ignored. With a growing number of other options in the area and online I'd recommend EVERYONE stay away from this particular Staples. It's a shame because I used to really trust and like this store. Time to take business elsewhere. read more

I can think of two different instances that my husband and I have been completely satisfied with the store. My husband needed some parts for his computer. He needed screws, which we couldn't find anywhere. He looked there and they didn't have any for sale. However, they did have a bunch of spare parts for the computers that they work on. They give him a handful of a variety of screws, no charge, and told him that if he needed any more to come back and they'd give him some more. We went to get a pencil sharpener more recently. It was a bit expensive, but it was the best one we could find anywhere. The salesman was very friendly. He sold us a pen too. It was $2 and all proceeds donated to to the Susan G. Coleman cancer foundation. We didn't have any problems finding anything. It's generally a great store and we never have had problems with it. read more

I recently went in to have a new battery put in my iPhone since I had one of the phone that stopped holding a charge. They demanded by password stating it would be needed to run testing on my phone. I declined to give it to them at the advice of a security expert who felt it was not needed for anything they needed to do. I got my phone back and the battery did not last any longer than the old one. My phone died in less than an hour. I'm skeptical of the even changed it. I went to use my camera and my whole phone crashed and never worked again. I called and they said since I wouldn't give them my password to them they wouldn't help but would put another new battery in for an additional charge. 4 hours after having my battery changed I had to purchase a new phone and the salesman said my phone is the worst he had seen and we even had trouble wiping it. It worked fine other than the battery until I took it to staples. Never trust them with anything. read more
