If I could leave ZERO STARS I would! It's amazing this FAILING LOCATION is even still open! The customer service SUCKS, the store is disgusting and the GENERAL MANAGER, JOSE VALEZ IS A DICK WHO COULD GIVE 2 SHITS ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Here is what happened: On Tuesday, May 16, 2017 I purchased an Epson 79 Black Ink Cartridge for my Epson 1430 printer. This is a professional grade printer I used for printing high quality art prints. I purchased the ink on my way to return the printer to my brother who needed the printer for a project of his. I purchased the ink assuming it was a brand new, never-been-opened box, especially since it was in the protective plastic encasement when I was handed the item by the customer service associate helping me. In the encasement, one cannot tell how the entirety of the box looks. I made my purchase, the Epson 79 ink and a package of peanut M&M's, and headed up the freeway to Sacramento, a 4-hour ROUND TRIP drive from where I live. I met my brother, a creative director at a design agency, at his place of work and gave him the printer and the ink cartridge I had purchased. He placed them in the trunk of his car and proceeded back into work. When he got home that evening, he called me and told me that he opened the box to find that the ink cartridge WAS EMPTY!!! Upon further examination of the box, he noticed that someone had taped the bottom of the box and that the security barcode strip was faded. So clearly, someone had bought a new ink cartridge, opened the box carefully, placed an empty inside and returned or exchanged it for a new one. That seems to be the only explanation since the damn things are housed in those stupid plastic security encasements! Enraged, I called the S. San Francisco location I had purchased the cartridge from earlier that day to complain. I spoke with the Manager on Duty, "Manny", who TOLD ME HE COULD RETURN THE ITEM IF I HAD BOTH THE RECEIPT AND THE INK CARTRIDGE PRESENT. I told him I had the receipt, but the cartridge was in my brother's possession. He advised me to email a scan of my receipt to my brother and have him try to return the item at a location near him, which I hardly doubt would have worked but since it was a STAPLES MANAGER telling me to do so, I listened. Unfortunately, by that time (I called at 8pm exactly on May 16, 2017), my brother had already gone to his local Staples to grab the ink he needed before they closed. Frustrated, I asked my brother to overnight me the ink cartridge and the box, which he did. This morning at 8:34am, I went into the 470 Noor Ave. Staples to return the ink cartridge, AS PREVIOUSLY INSTRUCTED BY MANAGER MANNY. I recounted my story to Manager on Duty "Jake" WHO ALSO SAID, "Ok, let me just get the GM's clearance." ONCE AGAIN, MAKING IT SOUND LIKE THERE'D BE NO ISSUE TO RETURN THE VANDALIZED AND TAMPERED WITH INK CARTRIDGE. In comes JOSE VALEZ, GENERAL MANAGER AND HEAD ASSHOLE IN CHARGE! Again, I recounted my story. He half-ass listens, picks up the box, drops it and says, "I can only give you an exchange." At this point, I become visibly agitated and tell him, "I'm trying to remain calm, but you have to understand 2 things: (1) I spoke with a manager the other night (I couldn't remember his name in my agitated state) who told me that I could get a refund as long as I had the physical cartridge and the receipt and (2) I don't need an exchange! I don't have this printer anymore, it was for my brother who also already bought his own ink. I need you to give me a refund." At this point, he proceeds to TURN HIS BACK TO ME as he begins walking away saying, "Sorry, I can only give an exchange." Feeling disrespected and slighted, I said, "Excuse me, I'm going to need you to stay here and help me figure this out!" He YELLED back, "No, I have a conference call!" and AGAIN TURNED HIS BACK AND WALKED AWAY saying, "You can call 1-800-STAPLES if you have a problem!" Needless to say, I was more than LIVID at this point. I called 1-800-STAPLES right there in the store. At this point, it's not even ENTIRELY about the money. Of course I would like a refund because I purchased something that was not as it was advertised (new, untampered), but at this point it's about THE PRINCIPLE! If I had made a mistake, I would understand, my hands would be tied. But here are the facts: (1) I did not accept as a return or exchange a vandalized ink cartridge to my store, STAPLES DID; (2) I did not grab the vandalized and tampered with ink cartridge off the shelf, A STAPLES EMPLOYEE DID; (3) I drove a cumulative 234 miles to deliver a VANDALIZED AND TAMPERED INK CARTRIDGE PURCHASED FROM STAPLES; (4) I did not tell myself that I could get a refund, TWO DIFFERENT STAPLES EMPLOYEES DID; and finally, (5) I did not intend to purchase a VANDALIZED AND TAMPERED INK CARTRIDGE, it was sold TO ME BY STAPLES. I DON'T KNOW HOW THIS JOKE OF A LOCATION IS STILL OPEN! PLEASE STAPLES, PUT THEM OUT OF EVERYONE'S MISERY AND CLOSE THIS STORE!!! read more

Awesome. This location has always exceeded my expectations. I havent had much interaction with the staff on the main floor, but when I was searching for an item one of the guys diligently went searching in the back for what appeared to be out of stock. But the customer service I am mostly here to praise is that of the girls in the print center. They help me every week with various projects. They always get it perfectly and without delay. I literally storm into the place in a horrible rush for school and they immediately print off my assignments - getting all of the details perfectly - even when some of them are complicated multi-page pdfs that require doublesided booklet organization. I absolutely couldnt get everything done without their efficiency and reliable customer service. While I hate to spread the word, thus resulting in longer lines when I need a rush job. read more

I shop at this Staples location on a regular basis. I find the staff is friendly and helpful. As soon as you enter the store there is usually someone there to greet you and ask if they can be of any assistance. Recently I stopped in to have a couple of laptops looked at for their free PC tuneup. I was having some issues with the laptops.They were so helpful that I returned later with an additional laptop and desktop to have them checked out as well! I thought Kevin the Technician that helped me would be sick of me and my questions by the end of the day. Kevin was not only happy to help but spent the time to explain things to me. Tsa agent lady Rochelle was really nice , if you are going to do a walk in please be patient usually they get really busy, last time she couldn't take my kids , but this time she could ! it seems like that's the only person they have in there but so far so good how she was handling everything , she's fast and you're in and out really recommend her ! If you're getting your Tsa pre check By the way I end up waiting up to 40 min for all of us as a walk in but it was totally worth it since the lady end up taking us ! this store should appreciate employees like her ! read more

MY TSA EXPERIENCED WAS AMAZING! The lady in there Rochelle was friendly and quick ! I had an appointment but my husband was a walk in . You just sit and wait around until she calls you to go in . If you have an appointment please arrive at least 6 min early since from what I've seen this location can get pretty busy and can result of you losing your appt slot if you're late , LUNCH is from 12-1 pm By the way The TSA office is all the way in the back by the chair department ! This store deserve 5 stars from me. I usually go there and all staffs is very nice and helpful but last time they made me very impressed about their customers service. I went there to get my black ink for m printer when I got home I open the box and try to put it printer.. Shit I bought the wrong one.. What i gonna do!!! Finally I made up my mind and walk back to the store. I asked for the manager and explain to him and he give me the exchange . Lazy, unhelpful and distracted, the print center is manned by malfunctioning robots. They clearly send their smarter employees to the Madison Ave location where the service was just the opposite, helpful and efficient. I came back the next day and was helped by Natalie, efficient and helpful. Just added 3 stars to my original 1 star. She was multitasking and polite.
