I went in yesterday to FAX a document and the person working was very helpful . You get the receipt and then pay up front. I always get my HP ink cartridges either in store or with free shipping to my home. Make sure you recycle your empty cartridges since the bonuses add up to cash you can use in the store. I was in need of some Avery print products somewhat urgently and was delighted to find this feature on the Staples website. The products were in stock at my local store so I ordered them and paid online. Then I looked out for a confirmation email and headed to the store to pick up my items. I picked up at the register and was on my way - smooth and easy and oh so appreciated! This Staples on Cleveland Ave shares a parking lot with TJ Maxx and a few other businesses. Was there yesterday to do a passport picture for my step mom. The older gentleman with glasses didn't acknowledge us till 5-7mins standing behind him. Then proceeded to rush us because he had an appointment, understandable. So, he sent us to another worker. Bit older woman with glasses. She was rude and asked us questions where she wanted further information which was NOT needed, because I clarified my answer to her. I came here to try and print a few papers. Their printing system is a joke. The employees there act like asking for help is a crime and they won't help you without acting like you're stupid. On top of that, the wifi (that staples provided) and cell phone service here is AWFUL. I couldn't even get the pictures I wanted to print to load while I was actively on their wifi FOR PRINTING PICTURES. If you want to make sales, don't make it this difficult to have a good experience. read more

Went for my TSA Pre check appointment yesterday and after driving almost 2hrs was told he called in sick, and I should have received an email (which I did receive 3 hours later). Went today for a walk in today after being told that was my only option over the phone this morning (again after driving an hour and a half from my home) and this dude had the audacity to be hella rude, not just to me but an old lady who put him in his place. Dude told me "I don't know how long you'll have to wait", but obviously I would wait as long as I needed, and he knew he could take me in less than 10 mins. Either way, I should have made an appointment in Sacramento or Martinez cause this guy is a douche. read more

Bought a new 14" Lenovo core i5 laptop with touchscreen. James is excellent and knows his stuff. A day later, my sound quit and I took it in. James straightened out the sound problem (it was a software driver) and I haven't experienced any problems since. The price of my laptop was the best compared to other retailers. read more

I came in to the Print & Marketing desk to see about getting custom receipt books made up. I had an example to go off of, and I had a few changes I wanted to add(carbon paper copies, stamped logos, color scheme). It was very busy that day, but the employees made sure it wasn't a long wait before anyone's needs were attended to. They had a quote ready for me the very next business day with a price that was much more budget-friendly than what I had been expecting. On my end of things, there was quite a bit of indecisiveness and people changing their mind, which meant a few days of going back and forth via email, but when the final decision was made, it was only 3 days before I got an email from Staples notifying me the order was ready for pick-up. I feel a need to single out Larisa, who maintained communication with me through the whole process, was accommodating of my needs, and very helpful in explaining the options and what they could offer me. Because of her and her team of rockstar employees, this whole experience was pleasant. This is a great office supply store located conveniently off of Cleveland Avenue. Offering more than just pens, paper and ink; this location has many other services you need to check out. A new service that we recently used was the TSA Pre-Check Station. If you do a lot of traveling, then you need to take advantage of TSA Pre-Check. Good for five years, the fee is well worth it, and you'll be happy when you get to the airport. Check out their business program which offers discounts, employee perks, ink/toner cartridge recycling and much much more! Also, get in The Loop with Printing, Tech, and Sustainability Services. Seriously, the best part about this store is the fact that they are very customer service oriented. I thought I had lost my cellphone, and they helped me look for it. Even though it was never found (I actually left it at my friend's house where I was before I stopped in); they were willing to assist me and even took my name and number down in case they found it. I went in to get some color copies which the last time didn't turn out so well. This time however they have New color copiers that turned out some beautiful copies. I couldn't tell them apart from the originals. I have never been good at using copy machines and this one was no different. I had to call on the sales person a few times. She was so patient and actually would have stayed with me the whole time but I finally got the idea of how it worked. And the color copies were only .69 each. This is a long overdue review for BRITNEY! We needed to print the maps and directions that would be in our invitation but didn't know how to do it. And Britney, easily handled it! Showed us first how it would look like, patiently listen to us on how we wanted it and gave us something that even look like what we have on our invitation -. Next we wanted a lifesize cutout for our baby dog, but when we check how much it would cost - it was almost 200 dollars. My husband decided to just do it himself. All we need was good picture of our dog to be printed. And of course we went to staples! And we didn't want anybody but Britney to handle it since we had a very good experience with her the first time we needed help. Poor experience with going in to send UPS package. Walked in right behind UPS driver he was greeted by two employees. They asked me if I had UPS package, but didn't offer to scan it. Put it in bin for UPS driver. Package was never scanned seven days later. Employees should have scanned in package and followed process instead of trusting UPS driver. Must be on camera 1/8/21 2:45 PM handed over purple package. Now my item is unaccountable, lost. read more

I was downloading my honeymoon pictures onto my thumb drive, the next day I when I went to look at the pictures and realized they were all corrupted. So I brought it in to staples to the tech support, and the associate Shelby helped me. She was friendly and talkative, and assured me she could fix it. It was done pretty fast, and she went over the pictures with me to make sure I was happy. If any didn't work, she figured out they needed to be changed to movie format, and they saved those too. I came here to print out an 8x11 document that was supposed to be a gift. I had no idea you need to do this 48 hours in advance. I was sent to a self service printer that didn't work. I asked for some help again and was told they were too busy. When I checked out and was asked if I found everything I needed I explained my issue and the guy just looked at me with a blank stare. I went into Staples for a pack of cheap 6 3/4" envelopes. I went to the envelope aisle and didn't see the Mead brand I'd usually buy that is $1-$2. All I saw were a few variety of Staples brand envelopes for $7.49-$9 per pack. What a rip off. It was impossible to do same day printing for 3 sheets of pre-made templates. The store needs to staff up to help people for small and immediate needs. I had to wait a day to get 3 sheets. The staff was really blunt and unwilling to listen. Overall, employees are understaffed and unable to help patients presently in the store. Very disappointing. read more

I needed just one thing: a memory card. The aisles were clearly labeled so you could stand in any one spot to figure out where to go for what you need. After I walked in, I stopped and scanned the aisle signs. Within about five seconds a lovely man wearing a "Staples" shirt came up asking if I needed help. I told him I needed a memory card, and he not only pointed to the aisle but led me there too. Once there, he asked if I needed any more help. On the way back to the register, I got sidetracked looking at keyboards. Someone else came up offering assistance. Right before the register, yet another person offered up their help. An entirely different person rang me up and wished me a good day. I'm usually finding myself lost, helpless, and wondering if I could ever successfully flag someone down. This, however, was an entirely different but wonderful customer service experience. There was someone ready to offer me help at practically every corner. Print Services operate separately from the horrible management of the store, and they are fine. This store, however, is a disaster. FOUR SALES CLERKS - Three paying picking their noses, the only one working eventually 'begs' the others to help someone. The lazy clerk replied by blaming the customer - who did not know that turning his isle light off did not mean he was not working. He / they weren't. Products are scattered around the store like a hurricane. If you want crap snacks, you will find them while you wait, and wait, and wait and wait for a sales clerk. Bought Printer Ink. Cartridge. Took it home to find it is "INCOMPATIBLE" for the printer for which it was designed. Now I get to drive back to this disaster and try to deal with these idiots, again. Lucky me! This store a bad joke waiting for a punch line that will cost the employees their jobs. Sad, but do not buy here. read more

I went there earlier today to buy some items, I was very excited that I found all the stuff that I needed to start school, but the cashier was an older gentleman that was verbally abusive. He got very aggressive when I told him I was going to pay cash, kept murmuring that I should have payed with card over and over again because he had no change at the register. Prior to my arrival at the register he was also being rude to the customer before me who was an older individual as well. Business Customers Beware! Small business owner here, I bought a Samsung 21" monitor 2 months ago at this Staples store. In the last two weeks the small blue LED power light at the lower corner decided to shoot a blue line of LED light all the way up the right side of the screen...guess you get what you pay for. Took the monitor back to the store, they located my receipt in their system, then lamented there "is nothing we can do," because it's been more than 14 days from purchase, and since I didn't buy their extended warranty, there is no exchange, no refund, no store credit, no shipping back to manufacturer for me, no nuttin; just a sad offer to give me Samsung's phone number. The assistant manager wanted to keep quoting their policies (I heard you the first time dude), the general manager implied that the monitor might not even be broken and chided me for not buying their $99 protection plan for a $140 device, and to my question "So you're telling me that you sold me a piece of crap and the only way you stand by your customer is to hand them a phone number," his response was that it's not a piece of crap. Staples has a sign on the wall that says "We won't let you down...." I marched right over to Office Depot and bought a Dell 21" on sale for about the same price. They actually have the same policy there too. They'll be perfect bedfellows for each other if Staples does end up buying Office Depot, but I'll be moving all my office needs to Amazon... read more
