I'm sure he does incredible work but he's very closed minded and refuses to work with you. I bought a replacement screen on line that turned out to be defective, did the repair myself. Popped the old screen back in and it works fine just with a shattered screen. Asked him if he might switch out the screen for me (emailing from the broken phone mind you). He was unwilling to do it at the quoted price because my phone must now be considered a repair my repair and wanted 120. The repair takes 5 minutes to do. He refused to just switch out the screens and also refused to just sell Me the parts I needed to complete the job. Right. So, here I am. Again. You are correct, I cracked my screen for the third time. Thank god, I'm an adult. Back when I was a kid, I would've been in a heap of trouble. This time, I dropped the poor li'l iphone fella from about three feet onto asphalt. It hit at quite the jaunty angle. I only cracked one corner, but I felt this was almost as good as the first time (when I shattered most of the screen) because, I broke bits of it deep enough to reveal the innards. Frank is a bit of a mad scientist, but he's very good at what he does and very passionate too. I had a failing battery on my iPhone 5, and he got me in and out in 15 minutes with a new battery. He also was able to tell me why my battery had died, and how to avoid that happening again (apparently it's not good to leave it charging overnight!). Frank is a genius or Jesus because he resurrected my pronounced dead on arrival iPhone (by an Apple Genius) back to life!! While at the Apple store, signing the contract for the replacement phone, I was told that I had to turn over the water logged iphone in exchange for the replacement. I pleaded with the "genius" to let me keep it just in case it came back to life but he said this is not the policy. I understand but my problem was that I hadn't backed up my phone in ~ahem~ over a year and would lose precious photos that were memories I wasn't willing to part with at that moment. I came home with my old wet device and opened Craigslist to find a cheap replacement in hopes that some miracle would happen and that my phone would suddenly turn itself on after it was dry. Well, that miracle was Frank! His number appeared in the subject line of the iPhone For Sale section and the next morning I called him. He asked several questions. Important questions like how long was my phone submerged. Yes, submerged in the washing machine!! And how long ago did this happen. Apparently, it was a good thing that I acted so quickly AND did not accept the Apple "Genius" diagnosis because after less than 24 hours, my completely dead iPhone 4 is fully restored with pictures and text messages. I dropped my iPhone 5s in the hot tub on a Saturday night and called Frank right away in the morning. Though it was two hours before open time, he picked up the call and helped me immediately. I believe Frank is very knowledgeable, so my experience may be an aberration. My iPhone 6s had a cracked screen and a dying batter, so I brought it to Frank. He fixed the screen and replaced the battery with seemingly no problem, so I had him replace the battery in my wife's iPhone 6s Plus. After replacing the batter in the 6s Plus, the phone would not boot up. Frank told me to go to the Apple store to let them know there is a battery and software issue. The Apple store said the phone is dead and it would be $350 to fix it. Frank did reimburse the 6s Plus battery and replacement cost, so I didn't have to pay anything for a dead phone. Lastly, a couple of weeks later my 6s phone dies as soon as it hits 20% battery life, so something went wrong with that battery replacement as well. In summary, one iPhone is completely broken and the other is starting to have major issues after bringing them in to SickBay. This may just be bad luck, but there is a chance your phone will die with no compensation if you take it for repair at Frank's. read more

Don't not let Frank work on your iPhone or iPad. What an idiot. I brought my iPad with the only thing wrong with it being a spidered screen, everything else working fine. Yeah he fixed my broken screen but before I could leave his shop the front button stopped working. He did fix this but not it but not before whining and crying about the $8 piece to replace the button. Not two days later the whole iPad went blank and the screen that he fixed start to come unglued and began raising up. When I brought the iPad back, he started accusing me of not knowing how to charge my iPad saying I blew up the battery. He also insisted that I stay and watch him fix my iPad. When I asked him how long I would have to be there he said, "I don't know, maybe 3-4 hours." Are you kidding me? He then kicked me out of his house refusing to fix the iPad. I went down the street to another shop that let me drop off my iPad and called me when they knew what was wrong. Like a normal service business. They also were able to remove the screen that frank "fixed" without breaking it and fixed my digitizer that they said had gotten some glue on it and had to be replaced. Sure, you saw that replacement digitizer screen on Amazon for half the cost of his replacement unit + install and think you can save yourself some money, right? Maybe. Who knows? But that's the kicker. You don't. The part could come DOA, might have lines running across the screen, or even have a scratch on the surface already. If you're not a big risk taker, like me, take your phone to Frank. He does good work with a quick turn around time. The first replacement he gave me had a dead "touch" spot on the screen. I noticed it and mentioned it to him. Scheduled another appointment and he swapped out the screen while chatting over the type of music we listen to. All done. Second screen works beautifully. No dead spots. No dead pixels. Why? Because I paid Frank a little more than I would have with an Amazon replacement screen and got great customer service. By the by, he was the most affordable screen replacement quote I got in the area. None of the mall kiosks could beat his price, and probably will never beat his customer service. Seems like a really knowledgeable guy and probably does do excellent work based on other reviews. BUT the customer service needs work. In my initial call with him asking if he could fix a "ghost tapping" issue with my ipad, left me feeling like a bad person for 1) not immediately providing him the generation of my iPad (implied I was trying to hide something... what?), and 2) Repairing the screen on my own a few years ago. (yes, I tried to save money. Is that such a bad thing?) He didn't want to fix my problem since my past "repair" may need to be "repaired" also. I understand that. But the way he presents it, just made me feel like crap. He offered advice about knowing the iPad generation when talking to another repair place. A small positive, but that's it.
