Overall, I had a fantastic experience. I brought in my Asus Zenbook because a few of the keys were nonfunctional. I was quoted $150 (plus tax and merchant fees) to diagnose the issue. That price felt reasonable, so I asked what exactly it included. The policy was explained to me along the lines of: "We can usually cover the cost of parts within this price, but occasionally there are outliers where additional costs may be necessary depending on the repair." Honestly, I found that even more reasonable. We live in a world where tech manufacturers care less and less about repairability and seem to believe you're better off just buying a new device instead of fixing the one you have. Asus itself charges a minimum diagnostic fee of $99, and that doesn't even include shipping. At that point, I can only imagine what the communication and turnaround time would look like. After a few days of diagnostics, it was explained to me that I would need a new keyboard. Most of the keys simply needed a little work to get functioning again, but unfortunately my "C" key was completely done for, which was obviously out of their control. A replacement keyboard was ordered from a relatively local supplier, but it arrived defective, so we had to pivot to another option from China. What really impressed me was that they returned my laptop to me while we waited for the new keyboard to arrive. That wasn't even something I had considered as a possibility. Even though the repair wasn't complete yet, I greatly appreciated being able to use my laptop in the meantime. That is absolutely not something you'd get from the manufacturer. The estimated arrival time for the replacement keyboard was about a month, but it actually showed up in only about two and a half weeks. I was psyched. I dropped my laptop off in the morning right when they opened, and it was ready for pickup by the end of the same day. Best of all, I was told there would be no additional charges beyond the original quote. Both of the gentlemen behind the counter were thoughtful, considerate, and professional throughout the entire process. The pricing was highly reasonable, the communication was excellent, and I got my laptop back in perfect shape in a timely manner. Highly, highly recommend. read more

i wish i didnt come here when my screen went black and stopped responding. i paid for a consultation, and they werent sure if they could fix it after 30 minutes - they used a faulty screen to test my phone (i later confirmed), then went to GSM for a 2nd (cheaper) opinion, and they diagnosed the issue clearly and replaced the screen within maybe 30 minutes. for a Samsung Galaxy. the guy was nice and attended to my phone immediately, so at least they dont suck. maybe they do iphones better (fyi, they're called My Cell Repair, now). read more

This place is amazing! I am clumsy and drop my phone a lot! Spec case has kept my phone safe and I have a screen protector cover thing. I can usually deal with small chips on the edges and even a crack but I dropped it the other day and there must have been a tiny rock on the cement and got a gnarly chip crack in the center of the screen! So i had taken a laptop in to have the charging ports fixed. That was it. They told me it would take five days. They asked for money upfront. I said great. A week goes by and i hear nothing. Two weeks go by, I call they said they are working on it right then and will get back to me. Nothing... A week later I call again. They tell me that they have to order the part and it will be here and ready in a just a few days. Then nothing. A week later, I call back and the guy says he does not but he will call me back. A few days later I call and they tell me it will be ready when i get there that afternoon, just closing it up. I get there, they had not closed it up. Get it home. I broke my iPhone by cleaning lint out of the charging port with a toothpick. I bent/broke a wire disabling charging and headphone usage. It was 100% my fault. It's a 13 pro max so it's past Apple Care and any warranty. I also fully understood that fixing this part would void any Apple warranty. This is per Apple and not the repair shop. Took two Apple watches in for battery replacement back in late May. Both watches were working just said due for new battery service due to one battery health at 79% & the other at 80% so charge wasn't holding longer than 12hrs. I need the Apple Watches to work for monitoring my heart rate due to SVT & so would switch watches while one charged. I was promised quick turnaround time & charged almost $250 for both battery services in advance. One watch worked fine with new battery but other did not want to charge & got hot when charging so returned it to shop & told battery was defective so leave for another battery replacement. Ended up almost a month's wait then went to pick up watch & was told it was not the battery causing the issue & they could not repair it. So I questioned the $125 or so charge for the battery if it wasn't the battery & was the battery in the watch or did they keep the battery & he said he would deduct cost of battery from bill so I would basically be paying $60 for their diagnostic labor. So basically, I went from having a an Apple watch that would hold a charge for 12 hrs & needing a simple battery replacement to having a destroyed AppleWatch which will not power on at all, which I'm feeling doesn't even have a battery inside, & for which Apple will now not do an $80 trade in credit if the watch will not power on. The repair person said he could recycle the watch for me but I brought the dead watch home because I don't want the parts in my ruined watch possibly used to Frankenstein someone else's watch. read more

My phone screen cracked and during the pandemic, it was a 4-week wait to get in to Apple so I came here. Something was wrong with the way the replacement screen was positioned, so I had to come back in twice to get my FaceID to work. It still only worked about once out of every 20 times I'd use it. Fast forward 3 months later, and I wake up this morning, and my phone is completely dead. I make an appointment at the Apple store and the first thing they point out is that one of the security screws at the bottom of the phone is missing (it's been in a case that covers that area - so no chance for it to fall out.) Apple store notes that a screen replacement by anyone but them can cause problems. So not only did I have to pay about $500 for my screen replacement, that is (according to Apple) the reason my phone completely died and I had to just purchase a replacement phone. read more

My iPhone XS suddenly died the other day and I naturally went straight to apple to repair it outside of warranty. They let me know there was nothing they could do to fix it and I would need a new iPhone. Unfortunately I bought one on the spot. I reached out to My iPhone Repair on the off chance something could be done as my old iPhone was in PERFECT physical condition and I hoped to still use it for work. They let me know it could possibly be fixed after an inspection. I went in for the inspection and they were super helpful and informed me that there was a chance it could be repaired, and that the cost of the inspection would go towards the repair if it would work. Less than a couple hours later I got the call that the phone was working! Fortunately I had auto backups turned on so having it reset was not an issue. I got my iPhone back for 1/10th the cost of a new one and if I ever have an issue out of warranty again I will be calling this business for repair immediately. I'd also like to note that they were super kind and every other customer in the store seemed genuinely happy to be there getting help. Super great business! read more

Most disappointing. The charging port on my iPad was loose. I had to hold the cord 'just so' for it to charge. Based on good reviews here, I took it in and talked with Robert. On the day I was to pick it up, I called and he said they had to order a part, it would be an additional couple of days. On the second day it was due, I still didn't get a call and just dropped in about an hour before closing. The tech at the counter found my iPad and there was a note taped on it that it was irreparable. Dead....broken....unable to be repaired. He gave it to me, shrugged, mumbled an apology and that was that. I spyed Robert skulking in the back.... Unwilling to even talk to me. I know have a spanking new device.... and I'll never let it get anywhere near this place. Things happen. It was old. Irreparable is always a possibility. It's the lack of transparency, the lack of phone calls, the lack of an honest conversation and sincere apology that turned me off for good. Glad others have had a good experience....
