Delays ,excuses and Useless and Deceptive repair service on my IPad. I called a few stores and…read morechose Igeeks because they promised overnight repair. The screen had cracked while I was traveling and it was replaced there. I discovered when I returned that the microphone was not working. I took it in to Igeeks on the scheduled day, when parts were to be available. Called to pick up the next day and was told there was a problem with repair and they would work on it to pick up the next day. This continued for 10 DAYS! One day I visited the store to resolve the issue and it was CLOSED DURING POSTED BUSINESS HOURS. They often did not return my daily calls. They provided various technical, involved reasons for the delay. Felt like I was being swamped. Finally after extensive discussions (when I was able to speak to them by phone) they said the microphone was working and it was ready to pick up. I paid the service charge and the cost. When I tried it at home the microphone STILL DIDN'T WORK. Frustrated, I took it to an Apple Store where I was told that the microphone repair was not possible on a screen! So my option was to purchase a new IPad and get a recycling discount for the one I relinquished. Results: the price of a new IPad + the charges for an unsuccessful repair. AND the inconvenience caused by Igeeks delays and excuses. Beware!

First I went to UBreakifix because they came recommended and had good reviews (more on google than Yelp), but they would need to order the glass, 3-5 days and needed four hours for the repair. Not to mention that as I was taking back my son's iPad, their employee broke it into many pieces, whereas it had only been a single crack before. Next we tried here. They had the glass in stock. They were $40 less than the other place and they had it fixed in a little over an hour. Crisis averted! Son is happy again! The work is guaranteed for 90 days, in case anything isn't as it should be. We ordered a large item from Build.com and Build used this company to ship the item via freight to our building in NYC. Well... not only were they 99% responsive to phone calls (unlike every single other freight company we've had to deal with) But they delivered the item on the day they promised... a little later then expected but still. And the guy who made the delivery got the item out of the truck himself ( we have had 3-4 drivers from other companies ask for my husband to climb into the back of the truck to help with no gloves or work boots like they were wearing) ... not this guy! He managed to get everything out and ready for us to sign the paper and continue on with our day on his own. I know its odd to be impressed by that but considering all the other companies this was a refreshing change. Honestly I wish I remembered this guys name to give him a shout out for being so efficient and quick. Overall if you have a choice, go with this company - they actually pick up the phone when you call, have real time updates online and are polite and professional. And this applies to the drivers as well. I don't know if we just got lucky or if things have changed in the company since all these last reviews but we are very happy with the service.
