One was from a major car dealer who basically told me that the used cars are "as is" and whatever I find wrong with the car is my responsibility. This was after I purchased the car and on the way home the check engine light came on. I was furious and knew for sure that I had been scammed. But couldn't do anything about it and they didn't even want to check to see what was wrong with the car. Long story short, the car had major oil leaking problems and water coming inside the car every time it rained. I was never going to buy another used car. But I saw a Facebook post for a particular model of Mini that I have always wanted. I went to just take a look and so I drove all the way from MD to PA. Upon getting there I met with Todd who is one of the owners of the Sports Car Center and he explained how he had done a long list of repairs and maintenances on the car. "Yea right, sure..." I was thinking. The car was beautiful. But of course it was hard to believe and trust another person who was trying to sell me a used car. But Todd seemed really honest and genuine. I also met his father who started the business and kept it going all these years. Obviously they would not have been able to do that if they would have practiced dishonest business practices over the years. After a test drive and reading a few other reviews online, I decided to get the car. For at least a week I was on the edge, every time I would find something not quite right or hear a funny engine sound I would call Todd. And EVERY SINGLE TIME, he returned my call promptly and explain things and worked with me to make things right or to give me assurances that there is nothing wrong with the car. It has been an incredible experience considering the Mini was 13yrs old. Everything could have gone wrong and a terrible disaster. But now, I feel very comfortable and know that I purchased the car as described and promised by the seller for the first time in a long time. I would buy another car if I need to at Sports Car Center from Todd. And I would highly recommend anybody to buy a car from Todd at Sports Car Center or get repairs done knowing you really can trust this Shop. For my November 2024 inspection, Dove's Auto Repair installed an invalid inspection sticker - expiration dated November 2026! It was installed right next to the Emissions sticker on the same windshield which has a November 2025 expiration date. Wow! Couldn't the Dove's Auto Repair mechanic see that? They also mounted a tire incorrectly (backwards) while losing a lug nut - replacing it with an impromptu and incorrectly sized lug nut, while breaking my windshield washer reservoir trying to replace a crankshaft sensor. They admitted to breaking the windshield reservoir after charging me to fix the problem they created. They also charged me for services they did not provide. These crazy jerks lied to me and told me I needed a whole new exhaust system in order to pass my 2025 inspection. They screwed everything up and I had to have another service garage correct all of their problems. Total waste of money with these a-holes! All of this was totally avoidable had they behaved in a professional manner. Fred Kerstetter exhibits the worst business acumen I've ever seen and it is totally embarrassing (ignorant ole Freddy boy doesn't even know what the word "acumen" means)! He's a total lying prick. Jesse is worse than Freddy boy. You can't trust these guys! The best thing that came out of this was that I found competent and truly qualified ASE certified mechanics to replace ever having to come back to this trainwreck of a disaster known as Dove's Auto Repair.

Long story short - their head mechanic didn't know how to check oil properly on her Nissan crossover? (name escapes me) Three times in the shop and they tell her the oil is over full. I go in, act dumb and ask if they could show me how to check the oil since I got blamed for it anyway "your dad is over filling it" Stooge pulls dip stick and proclaims "see overfill again by twice" Me - "flip that dip stick over" Dude had no words because the other side had NOTHING on it because they drained 5 quarts the day before because "it was overfilled" I promptly asked the gentleman "if you toss a stick in a bucket of oil, is it possible to only get oil on one side of said stick?" Note: these cars/engines have an oil drain back hole directly above the dip stick which covers it with oil several inches up the stick, on one side. Even a moron knows to wipe the stick and reinstall to check and look at both sides. A not-so-certified village idiot should know these cars are best checked after they have sat awhile, regardless this poor village idiot was happy to run out 5 minutes after we arrived and check it without ever having a towel in mind. Way to go imbecile. Needless to say, it never left the place and the motor was hammering because they told her to run it and I want putting oil in it again for them to blame me for overfilling. A few days later we stopped in and find in an attempt to get the warranty co to pay for a motor, they blew it up. The one lucky actually told us what they were doing. Obviously totally oblivious to the fact he was saying they were trying to commit insurance fraud. Good luck if you go here or if, like my kid, AutoMax sends you here because their shop is backed up. These geniuses will fix your vehicle right up like Dewey, Cheatum & Howe, attorneys at law would fix you up on legal issues. Well, that statement isn't fair. The 3 stooges deserve more credit than that when it comes to being lawyers.

Our hearts are broken over the tremendous loss of Elvin. Calvin stepped up to the plate and hasn't missed a beat. A few examples of their exemplary services - Our daughters car broke down leaking fluid all over the Carlisle Pike and Calvin came in clutch with the rollback and towed her car immediately to their shop. What we were expecting to hear was that the transmission was done, but after careful review it was actually a connecting piece that rusted out. Within 2 business days her car was fixed and back on the road. Our other daughters car kept throwing the service engine soon light. Calvin completed his research and quickly determined the root cause. The fix was completed the next business day and the car runs beautifully. I have have had numerous positive experiences with this family and wish only the best for them as they enter a new chapter in their lives.
