Great service! They were able to let me know after a quick inspection that I needed to replace a part which saved me money. Quick, hassle free and great customer service. It's clear that Mo and his team take a lot of pride in their work and what they do, and it shows. I showed up worried my monitors weren't ready and they were kind enough to check before testing. Not every place would do that and that built trust with me immediately. Came back the next day for the service. I would definitely recommend them to others looking for smog test service. read more

All the reviews add up. This place does exactly what it says. Gets you in and out super fast without a hassle. It was time for a smog service on my vehicle and I searched online for a nearby shop. Saw that this spot had a 5 star review with numerous reviews. They will take walk ins if the space is available, but they recommend booking a time slot to make it fast. Scheduled mine for a week day at 10am and when I arrived, I drove right into the garage and was greeted by an employee. They went right to work and from time of arrival to leaving was fifteen minutes. Price point was great as well at $60. They send everything straight to the DMV so you don't have to which is very convenient. If you're looking for a smog shop that is super quick and has great service then look no further. read more

I came here a few weeks back with a $68 flat rate estimate for cars 1997 and below and get my other car smogged. When I was about to get it done, guy said it's $100 now for 97 and below in a week span. Wow! I thought...scratching my head. "You sure?" Yeah, it's a hundred. Ok, I left. I called on a Friday got a quote of $120 but the machine wasn't working so I was to call back on Monday on Monday the guy gave me a quote of 140 but said he was still working on the machine to call back in an hour. So I called back two hours later and he said the machines not working so I asked when it will be ready and he said I don't know maybe days . Great shop! Smog tests are quite complicated but Star Best can get it done for the low price of $60. I bought their smog test Groupon voucher online for $0.50. I thought I was getting a smog test for fifty cents. But silly me! The price is actually sixty dollars. But they are highly professional so why would I want to go to a random place for a $20 smog test when I can go get a quality smog test for $60 at Star Best? Highly recommend because smog tests aren't easy and Star Best puts your $60 to good use. Thank you so much! read more

I was charged $159 for the diagnostic and another $159 for the repair, which I paid. Less than 24 hours later, the exact same warning lights came back on. I returned to the shop and was told again that a rodent had chewed the same wiring and that I would need to pay another $159 for the same repair. The idea that rodents conveniently chewed the exact same wire twice overnight is not believable. Rather than standing behind their work, the shop immediately tried to charge me again without offering any warranty, accountability, or proof that the issue was truly caused by rodents in the first place. This experience strongly suggests either an incomplete repair or a dishonest diagnosis. Being asked to repeatedly pay for the same "fix" is unacceptable. I would not trust this shop with repairs and would strongly advise others to look elsewhere.
