Came here once to get my Honda Civic re-tested. He charged me $30 to get it done and I was scared I'd fail (again) so I inquired about a re-test. He indicated that if I failed and bring it back within 14 days, then he'll only charge me $13.50! I'm never going anywhere else!! By the way, Canyon Test off Telegraph ripped me off and charged me $90 for a (failed) test. He said if I'd bring it in for a re-test, he'd charge me $60. Crazy! read more

I called by the phone to get a quote for a smog check and the guy on the phone told me it would be $45 including the certificate. When I drove up to the place today there was an older fat big nose gentleman and when I asked him how much for the smog check he did not hesitate to say $60 when I told him that I had called and was quoted 45 he said okay fine I'll do it. After about a five-minute hesitation I walked back in and said sorry I'm going somewhere else, and he replied good! I don't think people like this deserve our business if they quote you more at the door and then quickly are willing to take less because you said you made a phone call. Unhappy with the way I was addressed by the owner. Went in to help my mom get her smog done, mentioned I paid 40 bucks earlier (at another smog check station) only to be told "drive the vehicle around" and take it back in because it "wasn't ready." Drove it around to complete the "mileage cycle," and ended up at this place, asked for a small discount since I paid 40 bucks earlier, they agreed, and once they noticed we had a failed test earlier, the man began accusing me of not being honest and trying to "deceive" them. He ended up charging me 60 dollars, as if to prove a point saying "I should've been honest" wtfff?! I was so confused, and felt offended that he was pretty much calling me a liar and thinking that I was trying to hide the fact that the car "failed" earlier that day. I will say however that the man is knowledgeable about his trade, and I understand what his concern was about having a car that didn't pass earlier in the day, he should've simply mentioned it instead of accusing me of being dishonest. Oh and we were in and out quickly with the smog certification. I personally wouldn't go back. read more
