Had to get a older truck (1995 Chevy Silverado) smogged and a lot of places could not do it - Just Smog could!!! This is one of the cleanest smog and/or auto mechanic places that I have ever been to which made waiting a much better experience. There also have more competitive prices that a lot of other smog place. Super friendly staff and can tell it is a family business which I love supporting. I come to this location all the time when my car needs smog. They open up at 8 am on Saturday's. I pulled up 5 minutes before 8 am. First come first serve basis. You don't need an appointment. The lady in front was nice. She had me fill out paperwork. She said it was $57 if my car passed smog and $48 if it doesn't. Thankfully my car did. I have been trying to take care of my car. I'm glad it passed smog. All I have to pay is the registration. It was pretty fast. They take cash and Visa but no checks. There are chairs inside while you wait. However there are no public restrooms. There were also magazines on the tables near the chairs as you wait. I definitely will be back if my car needs another smog. Thanks guys! read more

Didn't have to wait long at all. Took my car in right away. All they do is smog tests, so no other services to complicate my wait. Promised to be done in 20 minutes, got it done in 10. I visited 2 other places in CV over the past year and a half (between my 2 cars) and this is the best of the 3. They follow Covid rules and the wait room is clean. They are STAR Certified for cases where DMV requires that level of test. One difference maker is that they do not charge extra for a retest if your car fails the 1st time - other places charge as high as $15 for a retest. Thankfully mine did not need it. read more

I decided to go on a walk while my car was being tested and they said they would lock it up for me so I could come back any time. As soon as I got back, they met me inside and I was on my way! I usually go to the same smog service shop... but, the shop I usually go to wasn't available at the time. I always noticed this place it's hard to miss it's right on the corner of 3rd ave and I St in Chula Vista neighbors with the 7-11 store. They do strictly smog so you won't be waiting long at all. These guys are EXTREMELY professional, quick, very nice and have excellent customer service. Very pleasant experience and very convenient as well. 10 stars for these guys and this shop. This shop has smogged my car for the last 8 years, they are very unfriendly and rude. They think they are all that and Carrie a chip on their shoulders, I would stay away and go to a friendlier shop that appreciates you business. They also get in your car with no protection after they laid on the asphalt to check the exhaust system. AGAIN STAY AWAY. To me these guys are real crooks, if you have a high Performence vehicle this place is not for you. They are STAR Smog certified (as will everyone else will be eventually). I didn't pass my smog test here. Please note this is a "Test Site Only." By California law they aren't allowed to give any opinions on what could be wrong. But believe me they have a list inside their heads of possible problems, as does any other ASE mechanic. With that being said, don't expect much other than a very swift test! They also provide free retest. They are professional and fast. Took about 20 minutes. I agree with the top review standard pricing, but for how quick they are it is totally worth it. $57 for my Honda Civic which was the test and certification to DMV. Easy to find and access (corner of street). Got there only 1 person ahead of me. Lady in office was on her phone so I just waited for her to get off. Her English was bad and raspy but not too hard to figure out if you know what you are there for... The guy blowing the leafs off the street came in which she put the clipboard out behind her and he took my car to the back. 10 minutes later, he returns the clipboard, she says YOU PASS, says $57, I pay with my card, and she says YOU NO PAY. I was like OK, and on my way. She was trying to tell me I don't have to pay the DMV since I already paid them (the sheet I gave them was the second notice for smog since I paid my registration already without doing the smog simultaneously). Again, if you come here knowing what to do/what to expect, this is great. They are fast and I think the price is fair, but I'm just basing that off the previous place I used to go to in Bonita. Over there I was paying around $50 and the smog test would take around 30 minutes+. read more
