Local farm stand with fruits and vegetables, herbs, dried pasta, nuts, olives. Friendly owner, she was all smiles and very welcoming to take a look at her stand.
Located at a popular panoramic viewpoint overlooking Positano, this stand as well as a juice stand (not sure if they're related), and a small souvenir shop, are the three retailers with outposts geared towards tourists stopping at this site.
The fruit looked very tempting though I didn't want to carry them all day so ended up just going with package of lightly salted green olives €5.00. This was a little pricier than some other shops in town though I guess it was due to the location. They take cash and card.
The Amalfi Coast is known for its lemons and citrus, and everywhere I went, the size of the lemons (or at least of the particular variety in season) were the largest I'd ever seen. The ones at this fruit stand were the size of a grapefruit! read more
