When the gate post on our privacy fence rusted out and the whole fence was trying to fall out into the driveway, I started looking for someone to repair it. I called a couple of highly recommended contractors that I found on yelp. The first one was not interested in doing what I wanted, but had a better idea for way to much for my budget. The second guy said his guy would be out the next day between 9:00 and 10:00 to take a look. Five days latter he showed up un-announced. I finally got in touch with Eli at STAR GATE and FENCE. He made an appointment to come and see what I needed. He showed up on time and was able to do what I wanted, not what he wanted. His guys showed up on time and ready to work. They replace the post with galvanized post that would not rust out in five years and re-hung the gate. They were also able to re-set a post on the sliding driveway gate that had shifted over the years. The rest of the story. Eli saved me hundreds of dollars over that first guy. Over the weekend there were horrible tornados in garland. I live in Dallas but i own a property that i went in garland. Saturday night i got a call from the renters that the entire garage door and fence had been destroyed. I immediately began to panic. I rushed over there as soon as everything calmed down the following morning. The fence had been completely blown away and the garage was damaged beyond repair. Ive used these guys in the past for my homes gate in dallas and they did a great job so i gave them a call to give me an estimate on the fence and garage.The tech that came out was honest and i felt comfortable with having him do the work. I wanted to stop by and actually leave a review for this company. I was recommended to use this company by a dear friend of mine who had Eli the tech remove an opener for her when hers completely gave out on her and he came to the rescue. My gate was old and falling apart it was cost me too much to repair piece by piece so I just wanted to rip it out and get a brand new spanking gate and opener. I called around got several quotes and all were crazy high in cost. Until I was given star gate & fence number. I set up an appointment with Eli and he came out took a look and gave me a much cheaper price than everyone else and was willing to do more work. My parents live in Dallas and I get to go out there at least 2-3 times a year while I'm there we always get things down around the house my parents have compliant to me and my sister few times about the gate not working properly we figured it was old as my dad hahaha... we decided to change it so while I was there I called some gate companies to get some quotes. one of them was star gate & fence. He offered & came Sunday morning to see if he could correct the problem. As Saturday is his Sabbath, he couldn't get back to me that Saturday afternoon when I called. Arriving on Sunday morning, He first handed me my check asking me to keep it until the job was done and the problems resolved. He was able to fix the issues in a short time. The gate opener has operated perfectly for 5 consecutive days now and the "gremlins" appear to have been slain. I had my electric gate repaired with Star gate & Fence today. It was the first time i ever had this type of service done. My gate would open but only half way and then close again. Its been doing it for a couple days now, and at first i figured id just let it go and it will work itself out until i relieved that it started opening half way much slower then the times before. I finally decided i needed to call a company to come out. I called up these guys because they were local and open 24/7. They sent someone over within the hour and he came prepared to do the work. He told me what needed to be done and i had him go right along with the repair. Its been now about 4 hours since the service was completed and i keep going out to test the gate and its working just fine.I dont know what these jobs normally cost but my son said that it was a good and fair price. read more

I met with Star Gate & Fence in April for a consultation to install a wrought iron fence with double automatic driveway gates. I then contacted the company again in October to schedule another consultation. I received a quote, and start date, paid the down payment, and work was started and completed in two days. The fence/gate looks amazing. The work was done with little to no mess. I worked directly with Eli, he kept me informed of all information and even returned a few days later to walk me through the gate operation, and how to manually open and close the gate, as they work via solar panel. My three year old learned this new think we're she likes to chase cars. We live in a residential area and car tend to drive down our street. In the afternoon I like to play with her in the front yard to make the afternoon pass by. However I knew I needed a gate there immediately the minute she learned to run down the street. This fencing company gave a very reasonable quote and they did an amazing job. Now my house not only looks beautiful from the outside, I feel more safe and confident playing with my baby in the afternoons. Highly recommended. I own a property out in Dallas. I havent been out there for years. I have a group of people that take care of any issue that might araise while i am gone.Recently our gate stopped working. Obviously this is a huge inconvenience for my tenants, so i called around to get out a company to repair the gate. Several were so rude and 1 even scheduled and never showed up. I had a long-running problem with my electric sliding gate -- the track had been sitting on the ground and was slowly sinking, causing it to snag and bind constantly. Star Gate & Fence came out and did it the right way: poured a concrete footer and mounted the track on that. The gate now glides perfectly every single time. Should have done this years ago. Special shoutout to Eli -- he was incredibly responsive throughout the whole process, coordinated the crew efficiently, and followed up to make sure everything was right. Our electric gate hadn't been operational for several years. I finally decided to call someone to come look at it when we got a new puppy. Eli came out right away. We were very lucky these guys were able to come out later the the morning I called. Another company had me waiting until Thursday (3 days later). Eli is the very best. We called him several years ago, due to our gate track buckling and rusting. At that time he replaced the rusted and damaged track. Did an excellent job at a reasonable price. We have had gate opener issues, over the past few years (it's a fairly old unit) and when he comes out he gives it a tune up and adjusts the slack.
