This grocery store is in a convenient location. It's across the street from the Marriott we were staying at and also in the epicenter of Boston's Back Bay. We got in late Friday night and was able to get some shopping done before the 11pm closing time. The store looked organized with all of your grocery needs. There is a liquor store on the second floor too. Security was on duty so we felt safe. The prices seem comparable to other supermarkets. They also have a rewards program which I didn't look into because I don't have one of these near where I live. There were self checkouts and you can purchase bags for 5 cents a piece. Overall, a nice grocery store located in the city.

Perfect!

I don't write reviews. I pay I expect excellent customer service. Today I returned an expensive rib roast to the Quincy Granite Ave Star Mkt, it didn't smell fresh. I was tired and angry because I had to make a trip to return it. Customer service sent me to the meat counter. I waited, was in a bad mood and complained. My mood was met with an apology, empathy and don't worry I will make it right. I was presented with a beautiful freshly cut roast to my specifications. I can't believe he even smiled at my satisfaction. Thank you Star mkt! Nothing but praise for your meat department manager and outstanding customer service even for Ms. Grinch!

One price change on one item stops me cold in my tracks from Ever shopping at stock market again.

today I went in and bought the frozen Birdseye rice and vegetables, chicken flavored rice same size bag as always 10 ounces. It's usually $2.29 sometimes it hits almost 250. Today I went in I needed a bag and they were on sale so I thought oh great. Well, they're on sale at two for six dollars if you get one it's $3.49. That is highway robbery. Market Basket has for less than two bucks. We moved to Lexington almost a year and a half ago and shopping at star market down the street because of the convenience. We all of us here in this apartment building are tired of paying $70 for a bag of groceries so we all had a meeting and we all decided. No more we're done. Market Basket is an extra six minutes away not a big deal and I can guarantee. I always walk out of there with three times as much as I do it star market. jerry

Star Market on Huntington Ave. has everything. Their sushi is always excellent, the pizza and sandwiches are fresh, and while I don't personally think self-serve is something we should be doing, the buffet style foods look good too. They even have a full alcohol section and a Starbucks in the back. It's a perfect place to get a meal if you're staying in one of the nearby hotels but don't want to go out to eat. There are self-service registers that the staff are good at keeping going.

This is how great I felt after eating my $3 hot dogs from Star Market in Back Bay, Boston, Massachusetts!

I Got Eight Hod Dogs And Twelve Buns For My Hod Dogs. It was at a reasonable price. I cooked my hod dogs in the old bay seasoning i also bought here, then I ate them!! I think I ate too much so I don't feel great but that is not the fault of good old Star Market. It has excellent ambiance and feels pleasant to enter. You can also get a charley card here or refill one if you want. It is delicious!! Also great sales!!

A quick stop to grab an umbrella on a rainy day was my only objective. The store is in the Prudential Center area of Boston aka as Back Bay. The market is on the second floor. I liked the appearance and it was clean in the front. I asked a staff where an umbrella could be located it was directed to a front display. They had all kinds of umbrellas big and small. They price was right. Checkout was smooth and staff friendly.

Stopped to get some pre-made sandwiches, fruit and snacks for a car trip. Prices were reasonable and the quality of the items was very good.

Nothing for Hanukkah in this store. And I am here often. Wondering why? Same thing with all other grocery chains.

Not as cool as the one over the mass pike. Food is fine and other stuff but it just doesn't have the asthetics it needs

Tons of food at the hot bar and all put out piping hot early in the day and replenished throughout.

I stopped by Eataly craving a comforting bowl of pasta, and the carbonara definitely hit the spot…read more The sauce was rich, creamy, and coated every strand of pasta perfectly without feeling too heavy. The guanciale added a nice salty crunch, and the cheese tied everything together with a deep, savory flavor. The atmosphere is lively and makes you feel like you're dining in a bustling Italian market. Even with how busy it was, the service was friendly and the food came out quickly. If you're visiting Eataly and can't decide what to order, I'd recommend giving the carbonara a try. It's a classic done well and worth coming back for.

This is a review about trying to book a private event at Eataly Boston…read more I was planning a corporate event in conjunction with a conference and I knew would be perfect for Eataly. But I don't think they actually *want* to host private events! May 29: I emailed their Boston-specific private dining email (per their website). June 8: After no response, I emailed again. June 16: I filled out the event request on their website. June 22: I called and spoke to someone, who said she could forward my email to the events team. June 24: After no response, I called again, only to be told that she would once again forward my email. June 28: I finally get an email back. But it's from the cooking class team, not private/events dining. June 30: A *full month* after my initial outreach, I finally get a response. I still don't have an individual's name or a way of contacting them except through the generic email. In the time spent waiting for Eataly to get back to me about a private event, I got quotes from two other locations quite close by at comparable places, both of which came in significantly below Eataly's costs.

Whole Foods in the Back Bay area of Boston is a compact outpost of the high end grocery chain,…read morecovering the essentials without the space of a suburban store. We walked into a produce section that is well stocked and an organic selection consistent with what the brand delivers. The hot bar is expanded and makes the store a practical option for a ready made lunch or dinner without much planning required. Pricing is a consistent downside that makes this not our first choice. Individual items across the store run significantly higher than what we would pay at a conventional grocery chain, and the urban location pricing adds another layer on top of the standard Whole Foods premium. For staple items and everyday groceries, the cost adds up quickly enough that we decide to buy from here only if we really need to. For a quick prepared meal or a specific organic item in the Back Bay area, it serves its purpose, but for regular grocery shopping we look elsewhere.

We like this Whole foods market- it has everything from produce to breads to prepared foods…read more I especially like the prepared foods - the soups are good for lunches. I would like to see more variety in the hot foods bar - especially because we always come here on Saturday and it's the same dishes. I understand they probably have a rotating menu so each day probably has a different selection but since we only come on Saturday it's pretty much the same every Saturday. Please change out the menu. Yesterday they even had some cut up oranges for free samples and that was great!! You get to try the fruit before buying- I mean you generally can't go wrong with cuties but still I thought this was a nice touch!! Loved it! Now that they have so many more self service checkout stations it's great! The space is also more efficient now. Their service is good too - they have someone there to quickly help if necessary. I like the green bananas as I like to buy them that way so they ripen over the next few days and can be eaten while yellow before they become sad lol! Overall we like this store - would like to see more selection/ rotation of menu in the hot bar!
