Fun corporate outing. Build your own pizza or visit on of the several pasta stations. Built my own charcuterie plate too. Desserts were amazingly light but I know the calories were not! I appreciated the smaller plate sizes as it helped me not load too much on the plate and made walking around easier. Staff, service, and ambiance was fun, friendly and a super atmosphere. They helped us celebrate a colleagues birthday on top of everything else. Great place overall.

After a busy weekend in Boston, we made one last stop at Eataly Boston, specifically La Pizza & La Pasta, and it was exactly the reset we didn't know we needed. The space has a great energy. Busy, but controlled. You've got the glow of the wood-fired ovens, the rhythm of the kitchen, and just enough buzz to feel alive without being overwhelming. We started with the Amatriciana supplì, crispy outside, creamy inside, with a nice balance of rice and tomato. I would've liked a bit more guanciale for depth, but still very solid. The rustic bread was excellent. Crunchy crust, soft and airy crumb. But the standout was the olive oil, peppery, slightly bitter on the finish, which tells you it's high-quality extra virgin. That's the kind of detail that matters. Then came the Margherita Tradizionale, and this is where they separate themselves. * Light, thin base * Puffy, pillowy cornicione * Beautiful leoparding with a subtle smokiness The sauce tasted like peak-season tomatoes, bright and clean. The mozzarella was fresh and delicate, melting perfectly without weighing the pizza down. The basil and olive oil tied everything together without overpowering. Cooked in a wood-fired oven around 900°F, this is classic Neapolitan pizza done right. When you're working with this few ingredients, everything has to be on point, and here, it was. I've had a lot of pizza across different styles. This one quietly brings you back to Naples. Simple. Balanced. Legit.

My friend and I were wandering Boston and catching the T from the Prudential Center. We were getting hungry and Eately caught our eye. Mostly because it was convenient with tons of options. We really only wanted a snack. This Italian market has tons of take out and quick service options and also a sit down restaurant. We initially chose some shrimp and crab from the takeout area but after spending more than $40 for a "snack" we decided we may as well sit down to eat a real meal. We sat at the counter and saw people next to us with a beautiful charcuterie. We ordered that and a salad to share. But the waitress didn't understand and brought two salads. Which was fine. One was Caesar and one was Kale and they were delicious. Plus a bread basket with olive oil. Everything was absolutely delicious! But when we got the bill, they charged us for the bread. Had never been charged for bread before. Overall it was pricey, but excellent food. We also got a 20% off coupon for take out that we can use in NYC or anywhere. If you don't have an Eately in your city, it's worth a stop but otherwise I'd recommend some place more quintessentially Boston.

Food was great, the pizza was crisp and flaky with a tasty drizzle of Parmesan cream. The pasta was fresh and cooked perfectly but the meat sauce was undersalted and lacked deep flavor. The service was lacking however.

Very cool store! We have an Eatlay back in LA and also have been to the one in LV. Always a treat. Definitely scaled down, no sit down restaurants but still plenty to eat (grab and go) along with shopping! Nice selection of items.

We had a great experience at Terra, the rooftop restaurant! It was so beautiful inside! The manager and all staff were excellent. We had the wood fired platter and it was filled with a hearty portion of meat and fresh vegetables. The store itself was also amazing and Boston is so lucky to have one!

OMFG. Caffe nocciolato is my new favorite coffee! I'm not a hazelnut person at all, but this coffee blew my mind! Server behind the counter was patient with me and had a great attitude. After my first sip I gave him a thumbs up and he winked bc he knows . Great spot right at the entrance of Eataly. No wait at all and the drink was made in less than a minute. If you're a coffee lover, do yourself a favor and try. There are a couple of small counter height tables (no seats) if you want to sip and people watch for a few minutes.

The tagliatelle funghi was definitely delicious. It had a good mix and portion of mushrooms, and the sauce was flavorful without being too heavy or overly creamy. The pasta itself had a nice, firm texture. Bread is available by request only, and it comes as a decent portion of four slices. It was served cold, which made the crust a little hard, but the inside was perfectly chewy. Eataly's food never disappoints, and even a simple pasta-and-bread meal shows that.

Boston completely exceeded my expectations, and Eataly had me wishing we had one back home! Every dish was bursting with freshness and flavor--totally worth forgetting about calories for a while. It's definitely busy, and scoring a seat takes a little patience, but I'm so glad we decided to stop in.

We were in Boston for a concert and friends recommended Eataly. We decided to eat at the La Pizza and La Pasta area. Our daughter was not super hungry so we asked if she could order a kids meal. The server, Gissell, was not very polite and said "we only serve kids meal to 10 and under". Understood. We have never had an issue anywhere where we have requested a kids meal. To be clear, it's not about the money. It's about the portion size. We had the insalata cesare which tastes like shredded grass and is an inadequate portion for the ridiculous price of $18. The pizza capricciosa $26. Great flavors, very thin and crispy and the fettuccine burro pasta definitely NOT worth the $32. They leave the bottle of water at the table because they never come back around to refill it. Overall a huge disappointment.

I'd love to visit and try gelatos again. Pizza Margherita: The pizza bread was so oily that it was even like soaking in the oil after reheating. The seasoning focused more on savory, while the sweetness and tanginess of tomatoes weren't as thick as imagined. The only thing I like was the fragrance provided by basil. Gelato Pistachio / Salted Caramel / Mixed Berries: That was my first time to try desserts in America, and I was surprised to find out that it wasn't as sweet as suspected. Instead, the tastes and textures were really pure, natural and authentic. Pistachio and salted caramel gelatos were thick and great, but I would especially recommend the mixed berries sorbet, as its fruitiness, refreshing-ness and fragrance in spite of the somehow overwhelming tanginess and zing.

Ironic way to end a reunion dinner in Boston at the start of fall: ice cold gelato. But we did have hot noodle soup and sometimes you still need to balance it out. My friend asked the cashier at the storefront if they were still selling gelato because it was already so late & they were! I tried the pistachio and one of the berry/citrusy flavored sorbets. Probably could have had more samples but my brain was already winding down for the evening after dealing with city traffic twice. I got the pistachio and while the flavor was authentic the texture was not. Felt more like sorbet than gelato. Where was the cream???

Eataly Boston is a great addition to the area. It has been there for a few years now. There are a few restaurants within this big Italian super market type place. It is also very convenient that it is inside of the Prudential building. This building is home to many shops and other restaurants. It is a big mall. Anyways, we went to a wine bar within Eataly as we were only getting drinks no food. The drinks were ok. I got this lemon and gin drink and other of my friends got aperol spritz and other Prosecco based drinks. People also do come here to go grocery shopping. And at the front of this place there is a little cart that sometimes will sell Gelato and there is a pastries /coffee counter in the front too.

My guess is that this is more of an evening destination where people come for cocktails and the atmosphere rather than lunch. We ordered a Diet Coke, the Scampi appetizer, Carbonara, and the Rigatoni Alla Vodka. The scampi was easily the best part of the meal. It was flavorful, cooked well, and made for a nice appetizer to start things off. Unfortunately, the pastas didn't quite meet expectations, especially considering the price. The Rigatoni Alla Vodka was $28, but the pasta wasn't cooked al dente and felt overdone. The Carbonara, also $28, was disappointing as the eggs had curdled and the dish ended up being much oilier than I expected. At $18, the scampi was enjoyable, but overall I don't think the food justified the price point. One bright spot was the service. Our waitress was incredibly kind, checked in on us frequently, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a very aesthetic design. I can definitely see why it's popular on social media. There is also outdoor seating, which I imagine would be a nice option on a warm summer evening. One thing I did notice, though, is how closely the tables are spaced together. Since the restaurant was mostly empty during our visit it wasn't an issue, but I could see it feeling crowded and fairly loud once the dining room fills up. I was honestly surprised by the meal because Gigi is part of the Mazi Restaurant Group, and I've really enjoyed some of their other concepts, especially Kava Neo-Taverna. Based on this experience, though, I think there are plenty of Italian restaurants in Boston that offer better food and better value for the same price. Overall, I'd give Gigi 3/5 stars. The service and atmosphere were both strong, but the food didn't live up to the pricing. If I came back, it would probably be for drinks, appetizers, and the ambiance rather than a full Italian dinner.

Don't be fooled by size of the serving plate, the look is light & delicate - but I was seriously stuffed after this lunch special. I had just enough room for a light dessert. So I asked for a single scoop of the mango gelato. I saw people a few tables down getting as many as 3 scoops, perhaps I'll follow suit the next time I'm visiting Boston. The bread had large air pockets, visibly soft, with a rich aroma of salt and milk; the olive oil was smooth and mellow, with a full-bodied fragrance, and the aftertaste even included a subtle, restrained hint of tea. Even knowing it's a calorie bomb, I couldn't resist dipping it in more. Baccala Mantecato: Classic Venetian flavor. The salted cod was tender and delicate, almost like a light foam, somewhere between raw silk and mousse; the dark bread was simple yet not coarse, perfectly balancing the saltiness of the cod. The most surprising thing was the refreshing aroma of celery leaves that emerged in the aftertaste, lingering and persistent. Lumache: When looking at the menu, seeing "chili butter, Jonah crab, breadcrumb," I never expected such a distinct citric acidity. The subtle acidity was gently enveloped in the fatty aroma of chili butter, perfectly complementing the umami and sweetness of the crab meat with just the right amount of spiciness. The lumache were firm and chewy, the sauce rich and smooth, and the breadcrumbs light and crisp, creating a rich and distinct texture. The portion was generous; even after microwaved the next day, the sauce had naturally broken down and the lemon's tartness had dissipated, but the noodles mixed with chili oil still had a unique flavor. Tiramisu: Highly renowned, and the staff were quite confident. The surface was covered with a thick layer of crispy cocoa nibs, the cake itself is incredibly soft and moist, and digging inside reveals an "underground river" of coffee liquid, while its bitterness was perfectly balanced by the sweet Marsala. The overall flavor was sweet and mellow, less bitter than typical tiramisu, with more layers of complexity. Actually, I was hoping for a slightly bitter version. Even on a weekday, it was packed with customers; by 5:10 PM, only one bar seat was left. Reservations are highly recommended. The service here was attentive with the waiters offering more bread for the mussels. Most dishes are a little spicy, so if you don't like spice, make sure to note that with the waiter. The miso gelato is one of the most delicious savory/sweet desserts, and has lots of nice crunchy accents of the sesame crumble. Cocktails are fabulous, very smooth, as well as the mocktails. Cons: The crostini was nothing really special, and one of them came without the oyster butter. The meatballs, which were tasty but had a slightly hard texture on the outside. The prawn risotto was pretty one-note in flavor, and the prawn heads tasted overcooked and slightly off. The radiatore was spicy and nicely plated. The Cremoso al Cioccolato had a strange flavor profile that didn't quite fit, and had such a large salted chocolate-truffle section that we did not finish it (which is saying something)! Overall, if you are looking for a solid dinner in Boston that will guarantee be a nice experience because of the atmosphere, this is a good place.
