About two minutes later, while we were looking through the service book, he told us someone was ready for us. We were still deciding which pedicures to get because we had dinner reservations later and wanted to make sure we had enough time. After standing there for another couple of minutes while we decided, he told us, "There's another nail salon across the street if the price of our services is going to be an issue." We left immediately. At no point did we say or imply that price was an issue--we were simply deciding which service would work with our schedule. His assumption, tone, and the rushed nature of the interaction made us feel extremely unwelcome and unwanted. The comment felt like an ignorant and intentional microaggression, especially considering there was no reason for him to assume we couldn't afford their services. I see that most of the reviews here are positive, but unfortunately, our experience was anything but.

I had a broken nail (into the quik + ouch!) and needed a quick repair. After searching my options open on a Sunday afternoon, I decided to try Lily nails. I called ahead to see if they had room for a walk in and they asked me to come in one hour. I arrived earlier than the hour later as requested because I have kids and when you have the chance to leave YOU LEAVE, so I just went over. The atmosphere was pleasant and I was seated at a booth for the manicure and given a ton of options for dip SNS nails. So many choices! All the dip colors can be done with gel to match in case you didn't want a dip pedicure but wanted matching colors. Picked my color and waited for my turn. They checked in with me often about my wait and never seemed put out to let me just hang and work on a letter while they worked. As an aside, I have a really terrible habit of picking at hangnails and my fingers when I'm stressed, and that often leads me to getting my nails done bc it breaks the habit for awhile. Being that my hands can look pretty bad by the time I actually go get a manicure, it is a consistent source of stress for me because I have been treated so poorly in the past at other businesses because of how my hands looked. That was NOT the case here at all. Mr.Owner worked on my nails and I spoke with both him and his wife during my visit. I appreciated that they spoke to me in English and we had an enjoyable conversation. We talked about the business, kids, and Savannah. Best part was the manicure!! He did a lovely job and I didn't feel rushed. I understood why he recommended I come in an hour, because they devote their attention to each of their customers and try to stagger them such that no one is waiting for great service. There were several people arriving for appointments and a couple walk ins while I was there, but the appointments were started right away. Overall this was a great experience and my manicure has held up really well. Pictures below are from the day of the manicure as well as one week later. I will definitely be going back to try out a new color once this one grows out.

They sat us together for the pedicures, where we discussed with the staff numerous times, what we wanted done. So far, so good. Then they sat her for the manicure, they then sat me 4-5 seats away. H.Tammy proceeded to use a DREMEL tool on her nails. My 10yo granddaughter spoke up and said "we're only supposed to do the 'buff' ". Tammy mumbled something and continued to use the DREMEL on a 10yo nails, for a regular mani with gel polish. THIS IS DISGRACEFUL AND DISRESPECTFUL! Not only did they take away from the G-mom/G-daughter experience by sitting us apart, but to use a DREMEL on a child??!! Even the child knew better! Then, when you pay, their system offers 15%, 18%, 20% etc for TIPS. They have different Tech's perform the mani & pedi, so you're inclined to tip each one separately. Be prepared with small $ bills if you don't want to OVERTIP! Lastly, the Tech's did not polish close enough to the cuticle area. Within a few DAYS it looked like our nails had grown out for 2 weeks! The polish is so thick that the cuticle edge started to get stuck in my hair when washing/styling and the polish on one nail even started lifting up as if it were a fake nail coming loose. It was a very expensive ($164.45 T.) treat that didn't last. Sandfly Nails around the corner on Skidaway Rd is much better and they cater to children!

I am sharing this as a warning because I am genuinely worried. Everyone was nice, My tech seemed genuinely nice. I don't understand how this happened. He finished and said "oh, i scrubbed your feet a little too hard." I genuinely didn't notice anything super painful at the time; and I am very pale, so I just said I was fine, paid and tipped 20%, and left. Well, I am here to tell you that it is not fine. This is the result of the pedicure I got there. I don't know if it's chemical, friction, no idea, but it is so painful when all I wanted was a nice pedicure to end a long week. I've never had this problem before and I get pedicures on at least a monthly basis. I cannot in good faith suggest this place.
