We didn't know where to go to get a pedicure on Sunday. We decided that we should try here since they where open. My sister-in-law was visiting and wanted her feet done (and rubbed since she is pregnant and wanted some pampering). They took their time on both of our feet and where very nice. Also making sure we where comfortable. I have toes that the nail starts to curve sometimes making it sensitive when getting my nails done. Hers are same way. I will be back. read more

I moved from Phoenix four months ago and have tried three other nail salons in Lubbock. This place was great! The nail tech originally messed up my shape and they re did them with no problems. I was really nervous but the owner came over and apologized and helped. I gave 4 stars because of this and they switched my person mid way through but it turned out great. Both Stephanie and Jessica worked on my nails. I will be back tomorrow for a pedicure. read more

I came here yesterday with my friend based on recommendation. I normally use Diamond nails and after yesterday I will never go anywhere else. My nails are all different lengths and there are bumps across everyone. The shellac also chipped 3 hours after getting them done. My tech said maybe 3 words to be the entire time and not worth the $45. read more

It's a great nail salon. I went there several times to get pedicure and have great time. It doesn't matter what kind of pedicure I get (regular or deluxe), they took care my bad hill carefully. It became soft and tender thank to them. My cuticle is also cleaned, and my feet look new. Employees are nice and polite. I like to have a pedicure at there when I have time. read more

I have been going to Star Nails for several years and have been loyal to this business. Even throughout my pregnancy I continued to go and would bring my family members and friends. This past week I went in to get a simple gel paint change on my nails and paint change on my toes. I was the first customer that morning and as soon as I walked in I knew the interaction would be less than friendly. Stephanie usually does a great job but I guess she did not feel like painting that day? So she told her husband to do my toes. I was fine with this but informed him that I would prefer for Stephanie to paint my nails since he can get a "little rough" with the filing and I have bled a few times in that past due to this treatment. The began to argue over who was going to paint, PAINT my nails since she refused to file my nails and had him do it. I sat quietly throughout this exchange but I was silently fuming. When I got up to wash my hands she came from the back of the shop stomping around. She then proceeds to slam her manicure things down on the floor next to her station and starts ripping out paper towels, still manically shouting to her spouse in what I imagine not so nice things about me. I walked right past her and stated "Don't worry about it Stephanie. Sir I would like to pay you for the services you have already completed and I will be leaving". I was teary eyed at this point and she and her husband understood the gravity of the situation. She insisted that she would paint my nails and said "no you will not", several times while I was paying which was very uncomfortable and made the interaction last much longer than it should. I was in full tears at this point because I could not believe that I was being treated so poorly as a regular customer who only wanted a simple paint job that early in the morning. I even left a 5 dollar tip on a 10 dollar service. Which makes me angry now that I think about it. Nevertheless I won't be returning and I advise you to spend your money elsewhere. read more

I went there a few weeks ago to get my toes done black. I wanted a design put on the big toes too. They put "Grandma" to do my toes. Oh boy. I paid for her training. I won't go back there again. The designed looked nothing like what I wanted. I could tell they weren't happy with me being there...I'm a guy. I called before I came, but I guess they thought I was too demanding. read more
