This is literally the worst moving company you can ever use. Please look somewhere else. Their business model is to bid low and screw you on the day of your move. They sent three guys and as soon as the furniture was loaded, one guy hurt himself and couldn't walk. So it ran very late, with just two guys. I spoke with Tim and James, the supposedly quality control guys and I was told that because it was so late, they would put everything in the garage and return in the morning to bring everything in the house. They called the next day to tell me no one was coming to complete the job. So I have all my furniture and boxes stuffed into my garage. Unbelievable. Very unprofessional. We decided to go with Wirks not because they were the least expensive they weren't, but because of the great reviews. I wish that would have been our experience! Like where should I begin! One of the problems is they lost an end table which I used every day.......LOST how do you loses a small table ( We moved from Roswell to Marietta). LOST !!! I still do not understand that. We have many broken or bent items, damaged drywall, boxes dropped and damaged. Broke both of our desks I mean really. But, I would say that wasn't the worst.....it was the employee who walked around swearing and acting odd and then questioned me on which boxes I want on which shelves. We had a challenging driveway that pictures just didn't show well and the move manager came out himself to see it (Jim) to ensure an accurate estimate and inform the movers on what they would be facing. Looking for a new moving company is always challenging so started the look a few weeks ago for a big move for me and based on my special needs- piano moving/lots of appliances , actually had another mover recommend Wirks. I'm in Flowery Branch near Gainesville so had never thought about a Marietta based company, but called for a quote and from the first moment- I knew this team had their act together. Rather than throwing out numbers, got on a facetime/zoom call and walked around my house and my mothers so their planner could get me an accurate quote. Very professional, very detailed, I walked around the house pointing out specifics of what I can get and they can get, tried to limit their "packing" and focus on the large stuff so got a quote in and decided to go with them. Very impressed!!! Got the quote over, they followed several times before arriving on time the planned day of move, showed up with 7 men, 2 trucks and we walked through the house and they were off to work. They didn't just wrap a couch or table, legs came off, all wrapped with blankets and clear wrap and they packed up the first house in less than a few hours( 4 bedrooms, 3 living rooms, washer dryer fridge, piano)- and were at the second location ready to go with one truck while the other went to my moms assisted living and packed her stuff up. What a job. No wasted time, focused, wow. Total ended up at 8 hours to move into a 5200 sq ft home, nothing broken, put it all where it belonged, super efficient, price was what he quoted. The attention to detail, genuine concern, and although I hope to never move again ( but prob will), I will go with Wirks. Highly recommend this team. Best movers I think I have every had in 40 years. This was our third time using Wirks; the first time was great, the second was ok and this experience was enough to make me never want to move again. When I questioned the estimator on the number of supplies (boxes) included in the estimate I was told it should be plenty- 3 hours into my packing I'm being asked to approve going from the original 40 boxes needed to 110 boxes. I have no doubt there may have been things missed on both sides during the estimate process but there's 0 chance we missed showing 65% of the items needed packing. Being our seventh move in 12 years, we are 100% aware of the process and that any supplies above and beyond the estimate carry a charge. There would never be an attempt to under sell the estimator; regardless, left with little option due to a constrained timeline we were forced to continue. Upon arriving home the night of the pack, I found 5 wardrobe boxes in my bathroom from my master closet (add-ons from the original estimate). I knew we didn't have a lot of items so I opened a box to see what all had been packed. Imagine my surprise to find the box less than 3/4 full. Curious if it was a safety/weight issue I had my 5'2" and 115 lb wife come over and comfortably lift the box. After opening up the remaining wardrobe boxes and finding they were all 2/3 or less full, it helped solve some of the questions from earlier on why so many more boxes were needed than the original estimate. As an add on, the labor and material cost for each subsequent wardrobe box was $32+. Quick and easy way to drive up the cost of a move! Fast forward to after the move and the return trip to the residence we were vacating. We missed an opportunity to walk the home prior to the movers departing due to work commitments but I was shocked at the amount of stuff that hadn't been packed and loaded. We had bar stools, a lamp, multiple pieces of Sonos equipment and canvas pictures left lying the various rooms. The laundry room had been completely forgotten about and two cabinets in the kitchen were left 50% full. On my worst day I couldn't imagine a more half assed job than what took place at my home. We own 100% not following up prior to departure but it's impossible that there were that many things left by accident. In closing, the next time we move, I'll happily pay 2X to another company and give them a try before using Wirks moving again. read more

We had a very tight time span from the time we knew our house sold to our two closing dates and moving dates. Jim from Wirks was able to come to our house to do a detailed fixed estimate which was competitive with the other quotes we got. Jim was also able to work with the scheduler when our initially requested dates did not work with the previous moves that were scheduled. Joe, Kemp and DJ arrived on time and worked to load our house while we went to our closing. Then Joe, DJ and Tyler met us in Charlotte NC the next morning to unload. Unloading went smoothly and the team checked with us frequently to make sure furniture and boxes were placed in the correct place. Do not use this company! They were more expensive but we decided based on reviews to go with them. Horrible mistake! It started out ok but quickly turned south. Two of the four gentlemen that came were arguing with each other and things got really heated for a moment. Then, after being told they needed to remove the refrigerator door to be able to move it, they tried to force it once we walked out of the room and damaged it on the front, the sides and the ice line. After damaging it they asked if we wanted to "sweep it under the rug" as a loss. It was a new $4000 refrigerator so that was not going happen! Then, when unloading a large toolbox, they did not unlock the casters so they created flat spots on them and they a basically destroyed, now it doesn't roll properly it less than a year old. In addition, they broke the handle on a large safe and caused other minor nicks and dings on multiple things within my home (items and walls) which we did not complain about because we understand that these things can happen during moving. We filed a claim with "insurance" and that's been a joke. Basically the guy came out stated the sides of the refrigerator cannot be repaired back to normal . He says it will painted and you will see it was repaired. Then, they stated the ice line will not be repaired because it's cosmetic damage and it functions. The door will be replaced. The casters will be replaced (we agreed to the casters being shipped to us and we will install because I have little faith in them being able to it without further damage to my property.) Two months later -everything is on "back order" with no anticipated date for resolution. Company stated since it all functions that we had to wait! I paid my money for new items and I expect my items to be cosmetically pleasing as they were prior to this company touching my items. Apparently they do not agree! This is unacceptable! read more

Work's Moving and Storage is an extremely professional moving company. Their quote was very reasonable. They packed us (4500 square foot home) and took great care in wrapping everything. Our move was complex with our things needing to be split up and brought to three different places and it was organized and handled so well. In addition we needed a large commercial piece of machinery crated and they had a very professional company come and build the crate right at my house and secured the machine. I would say that Wirk's can handle any request someone would have from packing and moving the most fragile items to oversized items that need special protection.
