Star Tea has been my go to boba shop in Gilroy for the past few years. The drinks are good, and I've always enjoyed coming here. I'm a huge fan of boba pearls, so I ALWAYS order double boba with my drink. I have no problem paying the extra charge for it. Unfortunately, I've had two separate experiences where they couldn't make my order because they didn't have enough boba available for double boba. Both times, I ended up leaving empty handed because that's the whole reason I came. As a customer, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a boba shop to have enough boba on hand, especially for customers who are willing to pay extra. This seems like a preventable inventory and supply planning issue. If I were managing the store, I'd want to make sure we never ran out of our main product. After today's experience, I've decided I won't be returning. It's disappointing because this used to be my go to spot, but this has happened one too many times. read more

Great bobas and smoothies! We ordered the Taro Coco blended with boba, PMS smoothie and the Oreo chocolate blended with boba... omg they were all so good!! The boba were so soft and pillowy. The smoothies were so creamy and delicious...perfectly sweetened. I actually made a sad "aaagghhh" sound when I slurped the last of it up my straw WHILE SHOPPING. So good! read more

A pretty cool spacious Boba spot definitely you got the family with you. Definitely worth checking out. They got some games inside to kinda enjoy yourself while you're sipping on some Bobo or smoothie. I went here with my daughter. She really really enjoyed eating. We played some Uno. It was a hot summer afternoon and we all needed some boba to cool us down. We were in the area of Gilroy so Star Tea popped up. It's located near the outlets. There's plenty of parking. The spot wasn't packed at all. Right when you enter there was a fooze ball table that customers could play. They also have jenga too. Plenty of seating inside as well. What we ordered: -honeydew smoothie with boba -taro smoothie -cantaloupe smoothie with boba -honeydew black tea with boba -popcorn chicken I'm a big stickler on the taste and texture of boba balls. These are first weren't too firm (I'm more of the firm and sweet type of boba gal) i don't like them soggy and not sweet. If you let the bobas sit in the smoothie they do get firmer and I really liked that. All in all the total came out to $32 which isn't bad for 5 items. The drink size all came the same size which was like a "large" in my eyes. I would def come back again if I'm ever in the area. read more

My favorite local boba spot! The strawberry smoothie with boba is my go to and as much as I love to explore different drinks, this is the one i always reorder. The mango green or black tea is super delicious as well! The restaurant is small, about 3-4, 4 seater tables and they have a foosball table. They now have kiosks to order from but you can still order in person. read more

I've been coming here for a couple years now, In the picture I have posted we have a Thai Tea with coffee Jelly, Two Mango Smoothies with Homey boba and my go to is always the Chocolate Smoothie with extra boba, sometimes they don't always have the boba for the extra but that's okay since the drink itself makes up for it! I love that it's super rich in flavor and tastes amazing if you're trying to settle that sweet tooth! The location is very Low Key and never too packed as far as parking but somehow always filled with customers! They have a foosball table that my fiancé and I always love playing while we wait for our drinks! The establishment is always kept clean each time I visit and very comfortable seating and some modern decor! Personally I didn't expect to find good boba in Gilroy, but I'm not here often and maybe don't give the town enough credit! My Orange Kiwi Green Tea was perfect, well-flavored without being too sweet. They let you customize the sweetness of the drink and even at 25%, but our drinks were good. Our Oolong Milk Tea was also perfection. They have a couple new-ish games: Connect 4 and Jenga, and randomly also lots of jars of Unicorn Slime for kids to play with. read more
