I used them for about 3 months Complete horror show. Drop off wrong barrel sizes. Empty promises about making Things right. Driver in our area forgot to pick up. I cancelled them in march. I receive a collection call when I'm On Vacation in Bermuda. 4 months later with no billing paper trail. It was from their Rockland mass Location. Get this lol, They tell me they prorated my bill. Deceptive billing practices. A huge amount of allegedly $ 33.00 I will keep updating the review Because the chances of them collecting this fraud is less than zero. read more

Absolutely terrible. The drivers are lazy and they decide when our trash is going to get picked up instead of following the schedule. They refused to come get our trash for most of the winter because of the snow. Meanwhile I saw multiple trash trucks from other companies come get our neighbors trash with no problems. When I asked them to adjust my bill to reflect the services that were not provided, they gave me the most bizarre reason as to why they could not do that. They said "the amount of trash you have now counts as multiple pick ups." WHAT?! We had trash overflowing because YOU didn't pick it up, and I have to pay for that? I told them multiple times to cancel our service and they continued to harass me with phone calls and letters in the mail asking me to reconsider and to pay my full bill. I switched to Carney and so far they have been wonderful. Star Waste is a JOKE. read more

Star bought my local company. First trash day they failed to pick up the recycling and the trash. I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking it may have been a new and unfamiliar route. Two weeks later, second trash day. Recycling was picked up between 7 and 8 am . However, a few hours later the trash truck came by slowed down and then drove off. I immediately called thinking they would contact the driver and have him loop the block and come back. Nope! At 330 I called again to be told that there were no trucks in the area. We used to use Barry Bros. for trash removal from our office and had no problems. Star Waste purchased Barry Bros. and since then it's been horrible. They missed 6 of the last 7 trash pickups. Trash is piling up. I just tried to call them. When I asked (politely) to speak with a supervisor, they hung up on me. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! read more

Prices are outrageous. Raise price $69 per year, and they do not answer messages. Charging over $500/ month for a 2yd household waste dumpster and every other week recycle bin, while I have a quote for same pickup schedule from Troupe Waste for $217 (no fuel charges)-written quote. The only reason not changed over yet is due to neighbor concerns regarding dumpster. They are cut throat and will roll the price back a few dollars to lock you in to 3 year. read more

I contacted Star Waste Company on July 14, 2025, regarding the overflowing dumpster and was promised the issue would be resolved. Two months later, absolutely nothing has been done--the problem remains exactly the same. I sent a follow-up email a few days ago and still received no response. This company demonstrates extremely poor service, unprofessional communication, and a clear disregard for customer concerns. We used to have Gilbert picking up our trash. As we received the new bins I assumed that Gilbert got a new truck. About 2 weeks later, I found out that the company was acquired by Star Waste. The did not picked up our trash for a month. I contacted them by phone 3 times and emailed them. Finally, they answered on Monday. I notified them I no longer need their service and asked them to pick up their bins. The bins had never been retrieved. Today, I received a surprise call regarding an outstanding balance on my account. The lady on the phone blamed me for not following up the link that they sent to my husbnad's email, where I was supposed to sign up. Our phone call ended up yelling at each other. I hired Star onJanuary 1st and they have not shown up one single week without me having to call multiple times. If you like to spend a lot of your time dealing with your trash pickup and being ignored then Star Waste is the way to go! read more

Our local trash company in Plymouth, MA, sold their business and we had no opportunity to opt out beforehand. They missed picking up the trash and recycling and when I called they said they would TRY and come back. They didn't and they didn't credit our account. A couple weeks later, I saw them combine the trash and recyclables in the truck. I walked up to the truck and watched. I cancelled our service effective 10/1/2025 and our last pick up was in Sept 2025. They picked up the trash barrels the first week in October. Now, in January 2026, we have been notified that our account is past due and delinquent since October 2025. I've made several calls, left messages with the overflow call center, sent emails and NO RESPONSE except to get additional emails saying we are past due. DO NOT do business with this company!! read more

Disappointed. We began service with this company starting in July. They made an error on their end by typing in the wrong email address. Do to this issue we never received our bill. And were unknowingly put on a "service fee". I called to find out what was going on to find out "They made an error". Paid bill immediately over the phone but they won't have a truck out till our next service day next week. Sad thing is I passed a truck on the way home. They could have made this right and reached out to a driver. I may be looking to change services. read more

Absolutely terrible! Run away from this company. They bought out our existing company so we never chose them. In the first 2 weeks alone they blew us off and after we called they lied and said they'd pick up next day. Two days later and 10 days from 1 st pick up - no show and zero communication.
