This venue has been here for 38 years!!! I can honestly say that none of the arcade halls I grew up with exist anymore! Never been, first time in for a birthday boy! Tight space (thx covid). Black lights? Oh yeah! Obvious old school love judging from the wall decor alone. Some unique machines here, some I have never seen before. SUPER nice and sweet staff. Pinball, they got it. Highlights? 4 player Pac Man.The biggest surprise? My youngest bday boy could not turn away from the challenge of Flaming Finger, pumped a fair amount of coins into this one and won no less than two prize doors https://youtu.be/3m4fMQUU3P4. The Konami games seemed to be a hit as well, what's that you say? You're old school? They have you covered. Galaga, Burger Time, etc. They also do private events. Go ahead and get your game on!

My son wanted to go to an arcade. Star Worlds fit the bill today. We've been to Chicagoland's most infamous arcades and this one should be included to that list. Smaller than the others, Star Worlds is confined to maybe 40-50 games. They don't have the assortment like the other larger arcades but then again, they don't charge $15 to play either. Nope, it's $5 for 30 tokens and you feed the machines old school style. Kind of liked that. We played a few of the classic shooting games and of course the staples like Pac-Man, Galaga, Robotron, etc. They did have one game here that I've never seen before called Revolution. It's a shooting game with an Aerosmith theme. Good stuff...Evan and I fed tokens in for a half hour as we shot our way through anti-music goons. The owner is a nice guy. He wants to keep his 30yr old operation on the small side, and keep it fun. He's done a nice job. FYI..cash only. That's part of the old school charm. Cheers!

Great classics, some pinball, some new shooters, some racing games, and the cool part is the games are constantly being switched out.

Every time I felt excited to see a game and start playing, I would look over my shoulder to see another classic. I took photos of the ones that brought back strong memories of playing with my cousin at the bowling alley or the 7-Eleven, at the camp grounds and at the hotels, and even at the casinos when our parents were hitting the slots. $20 unlimited gaming is a steal for what you get here. I have no complaints. There are bathrooms in the back as well as a coat rack. There is plenty of space to feel comfortable taking your time. While there is no food, there are drinks available and they allow in and out privileges with your wristband. My wish would be that they find 720, the skateboarding game... Paperboy, and Crazy Taxi, and add them to the lineup. Also a few more shooters from the 90s, as those were quarter guzzlers that we could never finish with real money. I've been here twice and will be back again soon!

I was here on Good Friday since I had the day off. I made my gaming partner go early because those times were discounted and boy, am I glad I did! By the time our 90 minutes were up, the place was getting PACKED. It made my heart happy to see so many families doing something active and together! Like I stated before, I have been coming since it opened, and I appreciated in this visit that the instruction screens were updated, some of the rooms that we not working on my previous version were up and running again, etc. I also appreciate an upgrade to their reward system! Before, they used to hand you items (a water bottle, a basketball, etc.), but now you earn coins and can "spend" them on the items of your choice. I prefer that so I can pick items that I will actually use! (The aforementioned water bottle and basketball were donated to my local charity shop.) I chose a personal bracelet that Activate uses to track your time and points while you are actively participating in the games. The facilities have bathrooms, access to clean drinking water, free lockers to protect your belongings, etc. This time, too, I wore my fitness tracker for kicks and giggles and I burned almost 500 calories in 90 minutes of fun. I wish they offered a summer pass or a monthly pass like other entertainment options in the suburbs.

There are free lockers to put your belongings as well as a free coat check. There are restrooms and a water fountain in the very back. There is a lounge area that is used for private parties but you can also just sit in there. You can watch other people play on the big screen. I recommend wearing casual or active attire because you'll get a workout for sure Each game room has a variety of levels and different types of games within that room. The cost per person is cheaper Mon - Thurs. $20.99 for 60 mins. $26.99 for 90 mins. Fri - Sun it's $26.99 for 60 mins and $38.99 for 90 mins. For Mondays and holidays, it's best to check back because the prices do change. I highly recommend booking on the website instead of blindly going there. The slots fill up fast. The games are short so you don't have to wait long to go into that room. The room types are arena, climb, grid, hoops, mega laser, hide, control, mega grid, strike, portals, and press. The staff were all friendly and helpful. There's no issue with finding parking.
