I am in this area daily for my children's activities and have visited this Starbucks three times in the past week, hoping for a different experience each time. Unfortunately, that has not been the case. This does not appear to be an issue with a single employee, as I have interacted with different staff members on each visit. The employees at this location consistently come across as negative, irritated, and dismissive. On multiple occasions, I have felt that I was spoken to rudely and treated as though my presence was an annoyance rather than valued as a customer. I got my drink just like I enjoy it- a Brown sugar oat-milk shaken espresso where the dark espresso is on the bottom of the cup and the light oat-milk is on top. Not too sweet, not lacking either. I'll be honest and say I'm not a huge fan of Starbucks and feel like more often than not the coffee is off putting and the customer service is lacking terribly. I had a gift card so decided to place an online order for pick fairly early on Sunday morning. They were being set on the counter just as I walked in and the gal so refreshing! She was very polite in greeting me, mentioning goofing up my order and having to make one again. She was apologetic, (which wasn't necessary) and so kind. SO hit or miss, you might as well go somewhere else. I get the same drink every time, and at times it is made well and delicious, and others I have literally had to throw out my 7$ drink because it was inedible. I am not being dramatic- I had to toss my entire matcha latte yesterday once I got home, as to my horror, they had not blended it AT ALL, so what I had received was a cup of thick, bitter sludge, and un-dissolved matcha powder. I tried adding milk at home, and blending it myself, to no avail. If im paying for a drink, why am I having to try to fix it at home? The kicker here is this was the second drink, as they remade it after making it incorrectly the first time (despite confirming 3 separate times over the speaker that it was hot, not iced). I DoorDash three drinks. I only got two. I'm upset with my grande pecan oat milk latte because look how much room is at the top?! Then my iced grande sugar, cookie almond milk latte, which is supposed to be oat milk has a bunch of room too. Plus, no cold foam and no cold foam residue if there was cold foam that melted, not the case. Starbucks at least you can fill our top dollar drinks to the top! This Starbucks is back open on the inside with limited seating. It's best to park and come in because the drive in has 15 cars minimum all hours of the day. It took me 15 minutes to get three drinks and I was the only customer inside the store. Basic drinks as any other Starbucks. Service is very slow. Despite six workers they seemed to be more into conversing with each other and laughing than actually making drinks. I think if they stopped taking so much and started working these line wouldn't be so long. read more

The Starbucks store in the Tikhatinu center stays clean and is usually busy. The service is a little slower than I would like for Starbucks, and isn't the best one in town. But the design inside is really nice. There are a lot of tall tables and one large low table to sit at. The table situation doesn't really seem incredibly inviting for a coffee shop in that area, which is needed. read more

Great workers! This location is the busiest one in anchorage and does mobile orders, drive thru, cafe orders, and iver eats delivery, so I understand that when there is a wait that there is a reason! There are also a lot of shortages due to COVID nationwide, so I don't take it personally when this location is out of something. The workers are really nice and try their best for getting paid minimum wage. I wish other customers treated them better and were more understanding. I have witnessed multiple rude customers! Service with a smile! Upon visiting the drive thru at this Starbucks, I was greeted by an exceptionally cheerful voice. And not that cheesy kind where you know they're forcing a smile behind the scenes. I ordered my beverage and due to my non-dairy based order, I was promptly and politely asked if I would like to skip the whip topping. I always forget to ask for it to be omitted since it's never on my radar anyway, and it really demonstrated the barista's attention to the order! I met the voice behind the box when I quickly reached the window. Rob was so friendly and polite, genuinely making light conversation while they prepared my beverage. I normally don't write reviews out of spite, but this is about the fifth time that Starbucks has fallen short on a simple order. I typically order a caramel cloud macchiato, which is one of the most advertised drinks on the menu. For some reason at this location in particular though, I've had nothing but problems. Multiple times now my order doesn't taste right, or even look like it was made by a professional barista. Unfortunately, today was one of the worst. After 30 minutes of waiting in line, my drink was given to me two thirds full, and the coffee was very obviously burnt. I'm not picky by any means, but I couldn't even stomach it. This is sad, because I do enjoy the occasional Starbucks coffee. If you're craving your favorite drink from this franchise, I would suggest going to a different location. read more

This Starbucks is hands down the slowest! Their lobby is closed and you have to use the drive and there's always at least 10 cars! There's no reason why they should be this slow! I've never written a yelp review before. I understand that this location is very busy, however, I waited nearly an hour for a cold brew. The employees ignored me as I was standing at the end of the counter waiting (for an hour). it wasn't until the manager came in for her shift that she politely asked what I was waiting for and she made my drink in literally 2 minutes. I posted one review already on the Tikahtnu Commons Starbucks that was taken down by someone. I'll be posting this review on their page and here and on Yelp where it can't be taken down. I spent quite a few days at this Starbucks on my visit to Anchorage. I drank a lot of Earl Grey because my coffee order was messed up two times too many. A new girl with red hair and a green hair band argued with me that I meant Latte when I ordered a Mocha and then as she handed me my drink said, next time you should try getting a Mocha. I stared at her blankly for a second and looked around for the hidden camera. On a separate occasion she actually added coffee to my Earl Grey tea. I got this drink replaced by the barista working alongside her. There was a tall, "store manager" guy who tainted my experience there. He is white with brown, curly hair and he wears glasses. On two separate occasions I witnessed him being a super sized jerk to two of his employees; sarcastic and rude. At one point I posted a pic of a counter full of dirty dishes because it looked like they were having a garage sale. I used my gold card while I was there. I would love credit for at least one coffee. But alas, it wasn't worth arguing over. These visits just made me miss my home Starbucks in Orlando on I drive. read more
