I paid for a Venti iced tea and a Venti coffee. I also asked for a Venti water, the barista replied "you can get a complimentary water at the end of the coffee bar". I have NEVER been turned down to get a Venti iced water as a PAYING customer. It gets better......they made the lady BEHIND me drink first and then they gave her a Venti iced water she asked for. Snobby, rude and horrible customer service at this location!!! I will NEVER give them my money at this location again. I love that this Starbucks is close to Piedmont and a Trader Joes. Dropped by after an early morning run and needed a pick me up. Saw a new drink, vanilla spice latte. Tried it out, very good. I always get a chai tea latte and love that spice after taste. The vanilla was a good change of pace. The staff is very friendly and the drinks are made perfectly. I have been to a few Starbucks that make their drinks toooooooooo sweet. It's a Starbucks, no more, no less. This is my neighborhood Starbucks. Yes, I wish it were an independently owned coffee shop, but what can you do? I only order two things from Starbucks, a large dark roast or a double espresso, always to go. They do a decent job at both. This location can get a little crowded on weekend mornings. I really want to give this another star but I have some qualms. First, service here is never rude but it's never really friendly here. They greet you, but never with much of a smile. There are several tables inside, but they are at times, taken literally all day by aspiring writers or whatever they want to call themselves. Lots of plugs though, which is always a plus. Parking can be tricky depending on the time of day. This location has a nice patio under two large trees, it's rather nice. However, this Starbucks needs to do some cleaning. There are cigarette buts everywhere outside on the patio. CLEAN that up, it's gross. Second, they've got two or three nice pots, but with DEAD plants in them. Seriously, how much would it cost to buy a few plants, and give them some water. Much better than looking at dead plants. Overall, this location has a lot of potential but the patio needs some TLC and the baristas need a little work on being more friendly. read more

This location is my "go-to" Starbucks in town. The baristas are very nice and accommodating, the space is nice (new) and well kept, the bathroom is clean, and there seems to always be a spot open for me and my laptop. There's a great laptop bar in a window if you want a little privacy and need to concentrate and a common table if you'd like to be a little more social or need to work in a group. Parking at the Midtown Promenade shopping center is always tight...but it's better on the Starbucks end of the lot. There's a patio out back if you want to brave the heat. read more

Shoutout to Pam and the whole crew at Starbucks at 8th and Monroe. I ordered curbside pickup for a coffee and two blueberry oatmeals this morning for my 3 year and I. It turns out they were out of blueberries so they brought out recovery cards as well as offered to give us some of the dried strawberries and blackberries they typically use in their drinks. I interacted with Pam as well as another barista and both were so kind and thoughtful. Our little exchange really just set the tone for a wonderful morning. They went the extra mile. I drive for lyft during the week so this is one of my rest stops when things get slow and I'm waiting on a ride. Everyone working here is awesome and polite. Worst Starbucks service Ever! The drink was one of the worst also. First thing I found at the restroom was huge pxxx in the toilet. The workers started to pull all the table and chairs to the side and vacuuming and dusting the whole store since 6:30PM although the store is not supposed to close until 9:30 PM. Everyone was so confused and felt so bad about the dirts. Then Restroom was closed the whole time. I usually camp out at the Starbucks in Emory Village, but yesterday evening I ventured into new territory and stopped in the Starbucks in the Trader Joe's / Midtown Art Cinema shopping plaza. I often am wary of this plaza because it can be difficult to find a parking spot, but surprisingly I was able to find one at 8:15 pm on a Saturday night. I was very impressed by the size of this Starbucks. Compared to the Emory Village location, there are far more tables, reading chairs, and most importantly, electrical outlets. I am a particular fan of narrow, single-person tables running alongside windows, which I was pleased to see in this Starbucks. Perhaps last night was an anomaly, but the sound system was playing great song after great song (including tracks by Josh Ritter, The Shins, Sarah McLachlan, M. Ward, Aimee Mann, Spoon, Elliott Smith, Belle and Sebastian). I haven't heard so many deep indie and alternative rock cuts one after another in a Starbucks in a while! This location is definitely worth the driving distance from Decatur. read more

I visit this Starbucks about 2 times a week as stated in my last review for convenience. It's just a few steps away from Metrofresh so a good place to study after a healthy lunch. My biggest gripe with this Starbucks is the high changeover of staff. I rarely see the same people. This leads to an inconsistency in drink quality. The two regular baristas I see maybe every two weeks are excellent. There is generally at least one empty seat but often more (a definite plus). Just know service will be hit or miss, irritated versus friendly. read more

As vain as this may sound, I like to think of this location as "my" starbucks lol. For whatever reason it is my favorite. Maybe it's the shiny newness. Something about the place just seems to be a little different from the rest. Love the corner entrance that addresses the sidewalk, as well as the chalkboard and that cool piece of art with all the street names on it. The baristas are always super friendly, especially the younger girl with the long black hair - love her! Great light, never super crowded, and not near as cruisy as the Ansley Mall location. Sure it's a chain, but it feels like part of the neighborhood and I can always rely on the coffee to be how I like it. No surprises here, it's a Starbucks. They sell your standard Starbucks stuff. Lots of power outlets, WiFi, huge parking lot , lots of seating etc. However, if I were into dudes this would be the Starbucks for me. 95% of the guys there are well groomed, dressed excellent and in superb shape. ABSOLUTELY PISS POOR SERVICE! Came here past 6PM. Cashier seemed annoyed to have to take orders and barista got one of our drink orders wrong (asked for no whip instead had lots of whip). I used to go to the Starbucks at Peachtree and 7th all of the time, but when this one opened it was closer to me and I figured I would give it a try. I love it! They're efficient and my drinks are always perfect. Everyone is very friendly, too. Parking is a huge problem at the P'tree and 7th St. location because no one enforces the 'This is Starbucks parking only' rule so the lot is always full. This is probably my favorite Starbucks in town. The baristas are always polite as well. The only thing I don't like is sitting inside at this location. Starbucks are generally noisier or has some music playing, but I guess because of all the businessmen and students, most of the patrons inside are busy on their laptops. I much prefer sitting on the patio. You get to sit right on Peachtree under plenty of shade and talk as loud as you want without fear of disturbing anyone. read more

My first time at this location, always stayed away since it looks so crowded and shares parking with so many other establishments but its not too bad really. Decent amount of seating in and out, quieter than most crowded outlets, great for meetings thanks to location and ample parking and service is pretty quick so they have a well trained team and a well oiled service line I guess. Seems to be a neighborhood hangout - staff knew quite a few customers by name, and really for me - convenient to go shop at trader joes, head for a walk on the belt line, get some grub at any of the restaurants nearby or even slip in a movie at midtown art. read more

Place is a mess. Ordered a simple pour over with steamed soy. I got a cold coffee and it was basically black. Annoying.

Really like this location. The staff is always friendly and their outdoor porch is wonderful. Also has lots of plug in points for those with laptops and even has a bar to sit at and do computer work. This Starbucks is fine. The baristas are super nice. My complaint is about the loyalty card program. I have to laugh. When the Starbucks Card first came out I eagerly purchased one. Loaded it with $20. The very next time I came into a Starbucks they said "Sorry sir, there's no money on this card!" So I was out $20. Live and learn. So I waited a decade and after being prompted by my friendly barista I decided to give it another try. After trying repeatedly to reset my password I was never able to access my account. Extra bonus: The malevolent reset message that said "Wasn't that easy!" Oh well, back to cash for me. I'll try again in another decade. read more

I hit this place daily. They know me and my children and the drinks are consistently good. Even better than other locations.

Unique experience but one I think worth writing about: My contact lens was bothering me during my drive to the Piedmont Park dog park and I couldn't keep it in my eye much longer and surely couldn't see without it so I stopped at this Starbucks to quickly use their bathroom to rinse my eye/contact off. There was a decent sized line for the bathroom, surprisingly, so I walked over to the barista on the far side (not the cashier). He was not busy as he was on his phone, so I politely explained my situation and asked for a glass of water to put my contact in. His actual response: "The cups are over there - you'll have to get in line." He couldn't possibly put his phone down for 10 seconds, walk 3 feet, grab a cup and fill up a tiny amount of water for a customer? I've never ordered a drink from here before and don't plan to after this encounter. There's plenty of other Starbucks in Atlanta whose employees go above and beyond for their customers - not the case at this location. read more

I am a Starbucks regular and recently moved into the area where this location is the most convenient. I must say if there were another option I would take my business elsewhere. They are not geared to serving the working public who need to get in and out between 8 and 9. Much too slow and no sense of urgency at all. I was a regular at the LaVista and Briarcliff location and this in no way compares to the efficiency and friendliness of the staff. A disappointing experience. read more
