I was back in the area yesterday and stopped in here for breakfast. Since I have DoorDash credits right now, I ordered thru the DD app for pick-up. The staff was very quick in filling the order, even though there was a morning rush. I had everything in hand in less than 10 mins after submitting it. I used the restroom while there. Both were clean. I know this because the doors curiously do not appear to lock from the inside (it's a push-button lock but there is no clicking sound or visual change in the level of the lock once you push it). Thinking one lock was broken, I switched restrooms only to find the lock is the same in both. As tends to be the case with Starbucks, the restrooms are gender, neutral. One thing to note is that the address is different in the DoorDash app then it is here on Yelp. In DoorDash, the address is 1228 W Paces Ferry rather than 1203. The staff confirmed for me that the address is 1228, but a GPS may point you toward 1203. Oddly, the Starbucks app shows 1203 as the title of the store and 1228 as the address. Anyhoo, just know they are the same place. This is important to know if using DoorDash, because I had difficulty in locating the restaurant in the app...and thus, had to wait until I was physically there to place my order from the correct restaurant. As far as breakfast, the egg, pesto, and mozzarella sandwich was tastier than the double smoked bacon, cheddar, and egg sandwich. The picture for the bacon sandwich makes it look like thick cut crispy bacon. What I received was thin chewy bacon. I'd go for the pesto next time. read more

I can't say enough good things about my favorite Starbucks. The manager Marisol and all the baristas have turned it into a little slice of home for me and my daughter. We've been coming in almost every morning since she was in seventh grade, and now she's a junior in high school so they've literally watched her grow up. What makes it extra special is that the moment we walk in, they greet us by name and say good morning. It's those little things that make it feel like we're part of a community. Plus, they never get our order wrong not once. It's just the perfect spot that combines great coffee with a personal touch. I really enjoy this location especially now that it has been remodeled. The workers there are so nice and highly recommend talking to CJ or Addie if you happen to see them (they are the best!) The sweet cream nitro cold brew is amazing and the perfect balance of being smooth as well as light. Bonus points for the caffeine punch that it delivers you as well. I also greatly appreciate how well they are at pumping through orders even when it is a large rush in the morning with high schoolers going in. Quickly ordered a Chai Tea on the way back from my Appt and was pleasantly surprise it was ready in less than 10 minutes (2 points). I remember when this Starbucks was a bookstore. Yes, I am that old. The corner spot where it is now was an Oxford Bookstore and it was So. Awesome. (If you were like me and read every single book on the school summer reading list, this was your spot!) I don't drink much coffee, but this neighborhood is where I grew up, went to school, etc etc and I have only fond memories of almost every establishment in the "OK Cafe Shopping Center" (though don't get me started on the stories I've heard about the women who own it - sisters - who are infamous for their "rules" for tenants . . . ). Today, I had the pleasure of meeting a favorite girlfriend for a late morning girl-date, and catch up over lattes. She was running late so I got to visit with some of the staff - such NPWH! - as well as talk to one of the Westminster (my alma mater) Boys Tennis coaches when I saw his 2011 State Champs shirt on (having been on the winning State Champ Girls Team my whole high school career, I got all nostalgic). And see what was obviously a Divorced Mens Support Group based on the ogling of my black boots and the snippets of conversation ("I paid her 80K just to leave me alone and get it over with"), some excited GA fans getting coffee before their adult beverage intake, see the usual mix of Tennis MILFs and Country Club Guys . . . maybe it's just me, but all this feels so familiar, like home, to me . . . it made me smile that my friend was late and I could people watch. At the end of the day this is still a Starbucks. But it might be the queen of the chain. It's jammed all day long. Quick, efficient service. On-the-run 30 somethings are in the front at the tables. Monied gentlemen are in the armchairs in the middle. And geeks are furiously typing on their laptops at the table with the outlets in the back. As most everyone who has read any of my Starbucks reviews know I love some Starbucks fuel to get me going in the mornings. I really dig this location of Starbucks because it is in a centralized location between Buckhead, Vinings, and Downtown; the staff at this location has always been very nice too and when they didn't have the coffee I wanted they would make it fresh and give it to me at no charge. But just don't try to come into this location during the week early in the morning and expect to get in and out; this place stays packed during the work week with everyone from business people, soccer moms, OAPs, to kids on the way to school. Did you know that this Starbucks use to be the home of the local public library? You can still sit down with a book but you can also have an awesome flavored mocha to drink while you relax! I love how small and quaint this location feels. There are some deep chairs located around the perimeter to chill out in and a few chairs and small tables for close chit chats with friends. There are even a few small tables outside for those who want to bask in the sun on those warm summer days. Go and enjoy a great tasting mocha or iced cappuccino at this location. This location does not have a drive-thru so when entering this location prepare to feel poor, very poor. Standing in line for your overpriced hot bean juice is like walking a runway. Every name brand is represented in the line that often is out the door. This location offers after hour wine and light tapas. They also offer custom brews and will mix your coffee beans for a different flavor. Your Barista can do this when they aren't too busy. Like a bustling diner, this Starbucks offers a belly up to the bar line of stools next to the row of espresso machines. I like to sit and watch the Barista's do their thing that often looks more like a ballet production than making of coffee. Another special thing about this location is the side patio. The patio has low trees and plantings amongst the metal bistro tables. It is oddly quiet even though you are next to busy West Paces. The light music in the background adds to the ambiance. Both the location and concept of this Starbucks are great! It's right off the interstate close to grocery stores and shopping. They serve wine. How perfect?!?? Coffee, snacks, and wine!! All of which are delicious!! For any Junior Leaguers out there it is the perfect meeting spot...right down the street from headquarters. There of plenty of room for informal meetings or a cozy glass of wine! However, getting the Barista's attention takes a slight practice in patience! I literally needed to wait for both Baristas to finish their conversation before I had the opportunity to place my order. They paused from their conversation to take my order and resumed once I placed my order. However, once I was served my order the experience was great! Wine, coffee, snacks, and good conversation! Since my work has moved away from the heart of buckhead I've had a chance to get reacquainted with this Starbucks location. Thought they don't have a dive thru....anyone who knows me knows this can be an issue due to physical difficulties. I've stopped by for informal business meeting in the evening and it's a relatively quite location with lots of seating and outlets outside. I've also recently stopped by a few times a month for a breve (don't like their coffee) in the mornings. The staff are super frinedly and very fast. It's rare for me to see a line since I usually get there between 9&10am but when I see a line I don't turn around and walk out the door at this local, because they are that fast! Another great thing about this loacation is the variety of foods, you can actually find gluten free, keto friendly and vegetarian items! Maybe not all in one item but it's a big improvement over most other locations. Parking can be an issue during rush hours but I've yet to not find a spot at all, just a little further away. Since the staff is so friendly the customers also seem to share this posative mood so it's easy to share a table or move chairs if needed. There is one handicapped parking spot by the door and other across from the front so they could be a little more accessible friendly. read more

This place is a nightmare in the morning. They have one guy preparing the food so if you order a pastry from the case, expect him to prepare and toast 15 bagels before you get your pastry. 30 mins to get a latte and ended up getting credit for my pastry because the cashiers are unable to reach in the case and grab your order. Unless this is your only choice M thru Friday before work , and you have time to wait then find another location. Also Goldbergs deli is in the same shopping center. I like to visit this starbucks because of the very close location to our office in Buckhead. One of my favorite things is this starbucks does the small plates and wine pairings in the evening. The majority of the time when I visit is in the morning, for my usual cup of espresso, and the service is great. Occasionally there is a line, but they get you moving quickly, in and out. They are also quite good with the order ahead, not once have I ever had to wait for my drink, even on a very busy morning. For the evening visit, the place was a little on the crowded side, but the hummus plate and the wine pairing was delicious. I must say it felt slightly out of place to be drinking wine at a starbucks location, but still cool none of the less. They have outdoor seating here which is good for a summer evening. Renovated early Fall 2011, this Starbucks has a great modern, yet warm feel. The staff is knowledgable, fast and friendly. If you are a regular, odds are they'll remember you and your favorite drinks. The draw backs are slight, but important. The renovation, while nice and leaving a more open feel, have brought more hard surfaces, so it's a bit louder inside. Also, despite the renovation, there is little power available inside for the many laptop users, which in Buckhead is a lot. A plus though, it has 2 different and wonderful outdoor seating areas. Here's the truth. I miss the unique coffee places I once frequented when I lived in Decatur. In the same vein, I've been a Starbucks customer for a long time, and I enjoy this particular establishment. Considering the school traffic and generally high populated area around the neighborhood, this Starbucks has a quiet atmosphere. All of the furniture is great for private and comfortable gatherings. I absolutely hate this Starbucks. It isn't really their fault, but it is completely inconvenient (and somewhat dangerous) to park here. It is in a shopping center with a terrible parking lot and also on the corner of a very busy intersection, which makes it downright scary to leave the parking lot. They forgot my drink and then the barista was incredibly rude in response to me asking about it. I go here frequently because I live nearby. I'm always amazed at how much business this Starbucks gets, and how little they do to earn or keep it -other than being in a great location. This Starbucks is often dirty, the condiments are empty, and drinks are produced semi-correctly (a "barista" lectured me recently when I questioned the massive amount of milk in my cappuccino). Some staff are good, but a few cashiers give you a blank look when you *finally* reach the front of the perpetually long line to place an order. Sometimes the AM coffee just isn't enough to get you through the day and a stop at Starbucks is absolutely necessary. I can get to 3 SBUX within 5 minutes from my job, but this is the one I always go to. Even though the parking lot is a death trap and after 3pm it is full of high school kids, this location keeps me coming back b/c of its service. The people here are quick, accurate, and if there is a mistake are happy to make it right. A few months ago they underwent a renovation and had to work out of a trailer.
