We bought sandwiches from the Pita Way restaurant (share building with Starbucks), sat outside, shortly after sitting down a Starbucks employee came out to ask us to move-tables were for their customers only There were 7 other tables available and we couldn't use one!!!! Ordered and paid, then was told they were out of the things we ordered! A little ridiculous.

Drinks were fine. staff was very unfriendly and wanted to get even with me for ordering mobile before I got to the drive thru. She commended on it 3 times in the 12 minutes from when I gave my name at the speaker, again when she refused to give me my drinks at the window but I saw them next to her, and finally when I went inside to get my drinks as instructed. I was told it "wasn't fair" to other patrons who ordered at the speaker, to have to wait for my drinks. Um. Hello. Starbucks has a drive thru option for a reason? But I was repeatedly told it was their policy not to give our mobile orders in the drive thru. Kay. See U next Tuesday.... read more

Weirdest costumer service ever, truly wondered if the guy who took our order was okay. I also don't understand how separating a bill two ways is too inconvenient for them. This is a very nice and clean Starbucks. It's newer, so that helps this place look so nice. The parking here is a little odd and if the drive thru is busy you maybe walking in front of some cars. The people were today were very nice and friendly. Even though there were a lot of people ordering, no one seemed too stress. I'll for sure stop by here again in the future. read more

I know this place is the only Starbucks around here, but if you can go somewhere else, GO! Beyond rude employees! We placed an online order at around 12:01, picked our 4 drinks up at 12;36!! Insane. I know y'all are busy but come on! As we waited inside for our drinks they were also taking in store orders that we clearly saw that they were fulfilling before our orders. And of course they got 2 of our drinks wrong. Even paid for extra shots in one of them and they clearly forgot to add them in, when you get the same drink almost daily you know when it isn't made right. The only employee in there that was nicer and friendlier was Caleb! You could see that he was really trying, while the rest of them were only good at arguing with their customers. There was a girl with shoulder length blonde hair that she just lived talking back to her customers, her response to anyone who made a comment about the wait was "I can refund you and cancel the order" like really! Just left there. 11:20 Saturday morning. Ordered a green tea and oatmeal without nuts. There was only one other person in line behind me. I got my tea quickly. Waited...waited...watched 5 other customers get their drinks/food that were after me. Went back to register to inquire about order. The girl that took my order looked confused - went to sticker printout - found order - started to make it - walked away (into back, behind doors)- other people were at the station (touching the oatmeal bowl) - not feeling that it was going to be safe to eat, and no apology for missing order or wait -I left and wrote my yelp review. If they were busy - I would understand If they apologized - I would have felt better Alas, no. I missed out on my $ and food, but they lost 2 customers (my husband was with me) for life. Very disappointed! I placed an order on the app today to be picked up in the drive through. I arrived at the drive through window and was told there were seven app orders ahead of me and I could either circle around and go through the long drive through line again or I could park and go into the store to wait for my order. I asked why my order could not be made then and there since I was physically there in the drive through at that time and those other 7 people were not physically there at that time - the answer I was given was they could not do that - those web orders had to be made in order no matter what. I asked if I could just cancel my web order and just place my order at the window like a regular drive through order - they said no - they could not take an order at the window - I would have needed to state that request at the speaker. Well the situation was not spelled out for me when I pulled up to the speaker in the first place. I ended up canceling my order and getting a refund. In the time that was taken to explain everything to me and listen to my complaints of their extremely poor customer service and for the drive through attendant to ask her manager how to process the refund - they could have made my one grande coffee and I could have been on my way. What is the point of ordering on the app??? I will never order on the app again! read more

I would like to share my experience about Starbucks. I am in Starbucks everyday and sometimes twice daily. The Starbucks on South Mason and Marymount is mostly crowded in the morning but the Manager and staff is very organized and has the ability to move the customers in and out of the store in an efficient manner. The Manager is Tyler and he is so friendly and calls most of the customers by first name. His staff is very knowledgeable, courteous, well mannered, and very friendly. I have witnessed customers act in a very rude manner. Witnessing the staff handle the situation in a very professional way. In the last 2 days I have been in 2 other stores and I felt like the employees were just there to collect a paycheck. read more

A friendly enough, middle of the road Starbucks. This is a very small location, yet the baristas are okay at making a drink, but they tend to take their time doing it. Avoid the drive through lane- you will sit there longer than you care to waiting for your order. I've waited so long that I turned my car engine off. I thought they had forgotten my order. And no, there was no one in line ahead of me, either. Good hot cocoa, shaken iced tea lemonade and soy lattes. The pastries are passable, but I think they've sat in the display case a bit too long. Thank god there is a light at the corner, otherwise navigating a left turn would no doubt be downright impossible. read more

I ordered an iced mocha and they gave me a white mocha. They didn't put up any of the directions I gave them when I ordered on the screen when I went through the drive-through.When I told her I ordered a regular mocha and the girl got all pissy and dumped it into the sink and left the white mocha syrup sitting at the bottom of cup. She use the same cup like a Pissy spoiled lazy brat and now I got a mocha that's half white mocha half regular mocha and it tastes awful. If you dump a drink into the sink like that any germs at the bottom of the sink is going to splash back into the cup. It makes you wonder how an employee can get stressed out even though I was the only person there in at the drive-through. read more

Parking lot is crazy very hard to get in and out. Store was busy and that's to be expected due to location. The staff seemed to enjoy talking to each other more than actually making the drinks. The Birch Run Starbucks is a very nice Starbucks amid a Starbucks dry area. Located in Birch Run right off of I-75, this Starbucks is a nice, spacious location. It shares a building with Quizno's Subs and is right across the street from the Prime Outlets. It was the first Starbucks we had seen since leaving the Alpena area and driving south to Cincinnati. As far as the coffee and food is, I didn't get any drinks, so I can't rate them. I grabbed an apple multigrain donut and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a nice boost in energy after sitting in the car for just over three hours. Overall, if you are driving in Mid Michigan along I-75 and need a jolt, the Birch Run Starbucks is the place to do it. read more

The folks who work in store cannot follow a simple order, and when they inevitably make a mistake, it is somehow your responsibility to have to pay again for a THIRTY CENT DIFFERENCE. When I expressed my concern and discontent the employee gave me an attitude saying that "it's not for me"... you're right - it's my 30 cents that will make a dent in the 23 billion dollars this company make a year. Good coffee where you need it, when you need it. For a long time I-75 north of Flint was a coffee wasteland, but the appearance of this place made journeys north much more pleasant. I've guzzled plenty of gas station coffee over the years, but it seems to be getting weaker and weaker--or maybe my taste buds are just getting acclimated to places like Starbucks. There are other good coffee stops along this stretch of highway now, but more often than not I'll stop here. The service is friendly, lines are short (inside at least...the drive through does seem to get backed up, which is why I rarely use it), and the drinks are up to standard. A side exit onto a road with a stoplight at the main drag saves having to turn left onto said drag to get back to the freeway. I only wish this Starbucks was open 24 hours to get me through those late night returns from the north, which I still have to endure with the pitiful assistance of gas station coffee. read more

They were out of just about everything on this rainy Saturday afternoon. It's near an outlet mall that gets busy on the weekends too.

Six people behind the counter with three of them sitting and chatting working with one hand while holding the mic to chat with each other. Meantime the drive through was backed up into the street and the line inside had a mere 10 people. It took me 20 minutes inside to get a coffee and a latte. There was crap everywhere, trash on the floor. This place needs some serious management improvement. Only one for a 20 mile radius on 75 so I guess they get away with it. read more

Today I tried mobile ordering here. This was a poor choice. Arrived at the location and waited for 20 minutes because the cashier did not pull the tags for the order. Jenna came over and asked what we were waiting for. We told her, she went over to the register and found the tags. She apologized and told the baristas to work on our four drinks first. She then presented me with a $4 gift card for the error. While we were waiting, a coffee master, named Jon was making our drinks. He was huffing and puffing and spilling drinks everywhere. Handed the cups to us... All sticky on the outside from the sloppy handling of Jon. Good news is, I don't live out here so I know I won't be back. Not your typical Starbucks experience. read more
