This used to be my favorite starbucks to frequent, but I cannot say that anymore. I do not normally leave reviews this drastic, but this one feels necessary. The quality of customer service has severely declined and it is so disappointing. The baristas are extremely rude and condescending towards their customers. For the fact that drinks are usually a minimum of $8 (or more) and I come with my family and spend a significant amount of money, I expect better. However I will explicitly state the two primary problems with this location. 1. They won't relinquish the drinks I pay for unless the entire order is complete. When I order specialty coffees with cold foam or whipped cream I like to enjoy those additions to my drink, not watch them melt into it while they spend 20-30 minutes finishing the order until I can get my drink. When I requested my drink(s) while they finish the rest of the order, I quite literally got yelled at by multiple starbucks employees stating that I could not have my drink until they finished my entire order. Not only has this never happened to me at any other starbucks location, but I have never been so poorly spoken to/treated by starbucks employees in my life. I expect starbucks to hold their employees to a better standard. Secondly, why am I not allowed to enjoy the drink I quite literally spent my own money on until you finish the order (which you do not do in any sort of order and often jump from multiple peoples orders not finishing them consecutively). 2. They have made my drink differently than I ordered without consulting me. I had ordered a shaken espresso with chocolate malt powder. When I went back stating it didn't taste right they informed me they swapped it out with mocha sauce because they don't have chocolate malt powder. This is such an issue because what if someone has an allergy to something in one but not the other? Not that this was the case for me but nonetheless the customer should be consulted first. They did remake my drink at my request, but were evidently quite unhappy to do so. I promise, I am not the type of person to say "the customer is always right" or believe that working in customer service means you can't have emotion - I have worked in plenty of customer service and food industry jobs myself (I was even a barista at one point!!), but never in my wildest dreams would I have treated a customer this way. This is why I either chose to frequent an alternate starbucks (Strongsville on 82 is fantastic and their employees are so sweet) or chose a local coffee shop. But I highly suggest you avoid Brecksville Starbucks - it is not up to par with how it used to be run. Very disappointing. read more

Worst experience you will ever get from a Starbucks. This location puts the company's name to shame. The staff is completely uninterested in helping anyone, making sure to only hand out your whole order after the previous coffees have waited, deflated, and been ruined. Want some nice whipped cream or cold foam? Don't count on it here. Try to ask for a workaround and you will be rudely denied. If you're hoping to start your day with a decent cup of coffee and a little kindness, this is not the place. I left feeling more frustrated than before I walked in. Would avoid this one if you don't want to ruin your morning and taint your perspective of what Starbucks is supposed to represent. read more

first of all the service is actually the slowest of any Starbucks I've ever been to no drive-through so that makes it even worse and every single time I order a refresher they never failed to disappoint me. Taste disgusting completely watered down. Don't put the right ingredients in literally taste like . Please learn how to make a refresher. It's two drinks mixed together. read more

This Starbucks is horrible. The staff is outright rude when you try pick up your mobile order. Certain drinks that come with whip or foam, will melt away in a couple minutes and they will not let you retrieve your drink. I typically order drinks for me and my wife and they refuse to give first drink to you until second one is ready. This always leads to one of them being ruined. I try to explain this to them calmly and they are rude and on several occasions say they are not allowed to and will get fired if they give your drink before the other one is ready. I have tried contacting their customer service to relay this, as it's happened to me on several occasions and to others (as can be seen in other reviews). No other Starbucks does this and unfortunately I have to drive 10 minutes longer to other Starbucks who are not so appallingly rude. Unless you are picking up drip coffee or plain iced coffee, I would recommend you avoid Brecksville Starbucks! read more

This is the second time I ordered a coffee at the store specifically and sat there for over 45 minutes. I understand they are busy but it was definitely ridiculous. Watching people leave that were in line behind me. Mind you I took a break from work to come get a coffee. So not only did I not get a coffee I'm out the $6.45 and just about the hour at work. This is one of my favorite Starbucks. it's in a great location, has ample parking, it's is clean, the bathrooms are clean, the people are friendly. I like the fact that there's a couple of cushy seating area's and a couple of community tables and then several single tables. There's a Hallmark card store next-door and within the same parking lot, a Panera, Heinen's, orange theory, Austin steakhouse, and nektar. Have to give a shout out to the awesome staff at the Brecksville Starbucks. I rarely order at the counter, preferring instead to use mobile ordering on the app. As I dash in and dash out, the baristas really make a point of throwing a greeting or a "thank you" my way, and it makes what can sometimes feel like just another errand so much more enjoyable! It really does elevate the experience to acknowledge and appreciate customers, even the introvert ones When I do order at the counter, the baristas are friendly, patient, and helpful! My wife who is pregnant occasionally has a cup of decaf coffee from Starbucks. And this is probably the third time in three months that the decaf has tasted a lot like soap she says. Hormones? So I took a look at the coffee and even after two hours the coffee still has soap bubbles so I attached a picture. I have a love affair with Starbucks, but I'm pretty disappointed with my experience here. The parking isn't great, but manageable. This store is longer versus wider and it has some good seating options. I like how much light it gets. My main issue was my drink because I tried to be as specific as possible and it felt like I was brushed off. All I wanted was a grande iced espresso blended with ice and a pump of sugar free vanilla plus a pump of base. I didn't want a frappuchino. I kept saying that and the person behind the counter along with the barista were insisting I wasn't actually correct or sure about what I wanted. I clearly knew what the consistency would be and I was direct about my order. Still, the person dumbed me down to: "oh you want an espresso frappuchino". No. There wasn't a line when we walked up to the counter but the back and forth between me and the cashier created one. My friend ordered a cafe latte and we scooted to the bar to wait for our drinks. While I asked for a pump of sugar free vanilla, I saw 3 pumps being put it. What I got was basically a frappuchino and not at all what I asked for. The reason I asked for something specific is because I've had it before and wanted that very thing. Instead of giving me a frappuchino, the barista could have clarified with me. My friend also informed me her cafe latte tasted like hot milk and that's it. I'm disappointed with how we were brushed aside. I frequent Starbucks and typically receive great customer service. Not here. We both threw out our drinks as well. read more

I love Starbucks tea. Frappuccinos are always too icy for me and not worth the calories, and warm drinks aren't up my alley either. However their tea and macchiatos as well are worth it. I usually get a refresher, such as the strawberry acai or berry hibiscus. Their (limited time) almond milk cinnamon macchiato had me hooked, and I can't wait to try their new coconut milk mocha macchiato. Although despite my dislike for frappuccinos, I recently tried the berry prickly pear frappuccino. It honestly wasn't bad, especially the sips with the berry syrup. The crème part was a little meh. The service depends. Sometimes there is this one lady who is extremely slow, constantly gets multiple people's orders wrong, and when you ask for light ice, piles a mountain of ice on. Usually light ice is ignored, or their version of light still packs the cup. Overall, this Starbucks isn't bad, and the ambiance is nice for studying or just relaxing for awhile. read more

I didn't think I would ever find myself reviewing a Starbucks, they typically all feel the same to me, which isn't good or bad. But when I stopped here tonight for an hour to work on a project, I was immediately and entirely impressed. The interior is much more spacious than usual, with the most attractive seating arrangements I've yet seen, including quite a few individual comfy chairs along one windowed wall. You're not forced to sit one narrow breath away from overly chatty strangers here. The baristas behind the counter were exceptionally personable, my drink was made perfectly, and the best part was that the background music wasn't intrusive as I sat and typed away. I don't frequent this area, but if and when I find myself around Brecksville, I will certainly make a point to return to this lovely Starbucks! read more

The staff is very friendly and helpful, the service is relatively quick with orders accurately made when they are staffed accordingly. I walked in and I had a barista start talking about me in the front and refused to take my order. I don't know why

Service was terrible. I asked if they had the white chocolate mocha that they advertised. A lady, who may have been the manager, said yes. I started to order and she said to place my order with the young man at the end of bar. First, I picked up a bag of coffee to have ground, then I placed my order. After I placed my order and they ground my coffee, I picked up the mocha and realized I really wanted the Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, that I had seen advertised. I mentioned that to the woman, she looked at me and walked away. I asked the young man what the difference was between the toasted white chocolate mocha and the white chocolate mocha. He said that the toasted one tasted like a shortbread cookie I said is the one that I wanted. Again, he walked away from me. No response. I am not saying that I expected them to replace my mocha, but talk about a lack of service and being totally rude! read more
