This is the first time I've ever experienced a lack of urgency in a Starbucks. The drive thru was the only customers getting served timely while the restaurant was full of customers waiting... while the cashier took orders and made orders for in-store and the other four employees handles drive thru. All I asked was a BLONDE ROAST COFFE through a MOBILE order. this lady took forever even after I came to the store to pick it up. My drive from home to this Starbucks takes 15minutes. Did a Starbucks run with the Bestiiie today 10-6-21. The cashier Carlos was awesome and pleasant & Mannerable!! I Got the usual passion tea lemonade and extra sweet classic syrup and every time it's just right !! Never no corrections needed!!.. however my friend always gets different things today it was a flat white and extra pumps of white chocolate and a ham & cheese croissant.. I met the kindest sweet conversationalist lady while in there in line and we just talked most the time I was there !! About eyewear, coffees etc whole time I didn't know she was a Manager!!! her name is Mrs/Ms. Debbie!! She was such a joy and made my day start off positive!!!.....my best friend drink wasn't right and her ham & cheese croissant wasn't hot as past times were but we were already pulled off from the location! I got off I 95 specifically to go to this Starbucks because I needed coffee for my drive. The employees were rude and yelled, "We're closed!" as we opened the door at 4 PM. What Starbucks along a major highway closes at 4 PM? And they didn't have to be rude and yell at us! I will never stop here again. read more

The service up front is Great. They smile, laugh and are quite nice. This is NOT the Starbucks to have a specialty drink made if the skinny black guy is making it. Several times my drink has been made wrong either to strong or to weak. But, if you go to downtown DC or some spots in Va or Md it's correct because they take their time. *UPDATE* I've gone to this location numerous times since my last review, and today, one of the baristas actually made my morning - I wish I knew his name! He's there just about every single morning that I've gone in though, and he has a really vibrant personality. Today was actually a really important day for me, so his uplifting personality REALLY got me off to a great start. I never have to worry about waiting in lines because I always order ahead, but one of the things I've learned about mobile ordering with just about any place, is to order about 10 minutes ahead of when you'll actually be on your way. I think there's a lag between when you place an order and when they actually receive it, so I usually order about 5 minutes before I'm heading out the door. Once I get there, my order is always ready. I get the exact same thing every time from every Starbucks, but this is the only one (between this location, Woodmore, Largo town center, and Bowie) that gets it perfect every time. I never have to question whether my espresso shot and Almond milk is in the cup. This location for the win after that guy made my day this morning! I've been coming to this Starbucks since I moved to the area back in April 2021. Every time I do a mobile order the staff are swift and make sure I get my order upon arrival. Even when ordering in the store the staff are courteous and are quick to take your order. Not to mention the place is pretty clean which I can appreciate. read more

I've been coming to this Starbucks for the past 3 months. The only good things is the location and it's new. It's close to my home and usually before I start my telework day I drive here and go to the drive thru. I've never been inside so I can't say how that is. The wait time for drive thru is ridiculously long. My order is usually right however every time I order the passion tango lemonade sweetened the taste is off. On my last visit, I went through my normal routine. Drive up to the dive though. Waited my 10 mins before being able to order and then drive to the window to pay. I usually pay with my credit card. Very easy to swipe and go. No major thought in counting right. However on this particular occasion I needed to break a $20 bill and didn't want any coins back. My total for my order was $8.38. I gave the cashier a $20 bill, one quarter, one dime and 3 pennies because I needed cash back. I counted my money in front of her before giving it to her. So basic math: I should have been given back $12. So to my surprise when she gave back my change she gave me a few dollars and coins. Like wtf. I said without being rude...sweetie you gave me the wrong change. She looks at me and say no I didn't and wanted to tell me what I gave her. I said I counted the money to you when I put it in your hands. Now I am a financial auditor and know money and know exactly what I gave her. Clearly this young girl do not know how to count nor read her cashier screen which is ridiculous when you're working drive thru, a busy area to be stationed to. She had to get a manager who did correct the issue. I didn't want to embarrass the young girl but at the same time you shouldn't be combative with customers and just say I may have made a mistake and let me correct this. My tip: there are A LOT of young folks working here. If you give cash make sure it's correct before leaving. read more

How is this a grande! Too sweet and a Rip off! I really wanted a good cup of coffee today. Starbucks is a nice treat for me. I usually get a Grande Soy Carmel Machiatto. Today, I gave the pumpkin spice latte a try. Big mistake. I thought that the cup didn't fill full but didn't check it before pulling away from the window- lesson learned for me. Horrible customer service. Also, they barely allow you to order ahead. Even when you are allowed to order well in advance, they still make you wait for forever for your coffee. Also, they make up their own hours. They're supposed to close at 9pm, but a couple of times they closed before 830pm. The sign says they close at 9pm. read more

Nonexistent greeting No eye contact No thank you The gentleman who "helped" me was not welcoming at all, they didn't have what i wanted and he didn't bother to give me extra choices. Don't even know where to start. Went to order online for my convenience but the app said every last frappachino was sold out as well other items. Like they should be closed if this is accurate. So I called to confirm availability. She asked what drinks specifically so I named the 3 frappachino drinks and she said they did have them and doesn't know why the app says that. Ok cool. They frequently close their lobby and close at odd hours other than advertised.Maybe it's a staffing issue but either way if I order On the mobile app for pickup in the lobby I don't expect to see a hand written note stating they close at 2pm on a Saturday. I was so excited when this Starbucks opened. The service was good. The drinks were made well. Now this location is awful. Two times in a row I've had issue with this location. The first time, several customers were in the drive-thru including myself 15-20mins before closing. I thought people were being helped, but apparently they weren't. No one came to the speaker to tell us they had decided to close early. They just let us sit there. When we got to the window, a barista just mouthed to us that they were closed with an angry face and waved us away. Today, I sat in the line and when I finally got to the speaker, the order taker started taking my order not once but twice interrupting me that she needed to answer someone inside clearly not able to multitask. I told her my order 4 times. When I finally got to the window she handed me my venti frap. I asked for a sleeve, she handed me two sleeves instead of just putting a sleeve on my second drink. When I was finally handed my second drink it was wrong. It was the wrong drink and the wrong size. When I let her know that I ordered a second venti, her response was "well you paid for a grande so I'm sorry this is for you." I've never experienced such awful customer service from Starbucks and I've been going to Starbucks since high school (almost 15 years.) worst location ever. read more

Customer service is terrible at this location. I visited this location Saturday Jan.30th at 6:30pm and my drink order was incorrect. I greeted the order taker and the staff member was rude, unapologetic and then I had to wait an extra 15 minutes for the correct drinks as the order was wrong. It's great to have another option for Starbucks in this area besides the one in Largo, which is always busy and way too slow. This location is a decent size and they have a drive thru. Don't expect to sprawl out though. Although they have booth seating the round tables are very small and so is the lounge area. I went on a Tuesday evening around 7p. There were probably five other patrons and three baristas. My green tea took about eight minutes to make which I consider slow, especially since I was the only order up. I had to have it re-made on top of that but the second one was much better. I wasn't blown away or thrilled - I mean it's a Starbucks so how excited can you get? But overall it's in a great location right off the Beltway and near the new shopping center. I'm so glad someone had the common sense to put one here. read more
