WAY TOO HOT IN HERE! I actually left a local establishment called Lemon Falls because it was too hot in there. So I decided to go to Starbucks since they usually crank the air. I've been here for one minute and I'm leaving. that's two places in chagrin Falls today that I wouldn't recommend on a hot day

This is another good table right opposite the counter. It's tourists and those who have never been here who go bonkers over these tables.

A tale of two coffeehouses in opposite and scenic sides of a metro area East side Every once in a while, one finds a Starbucks which may deliver the same goods and services but occupies an unusual location. This is one such Starbucks. What makes it different is that it sits in a storefront along a manicured Main Street in a beautiful hamlet where the top end of Appalachia's topography touches the Great Lakes. But that's not all. The storefront is the "end unit," sitting at the side of the building on this block ... and that "end unit" sits up on a rocky bluff overlooking the fairly big drop that is Chagrin Falls, an enclave to the east of Cleveland where the suburbs thin out and larger homes on larger, hilly forested properties are the norm. People come here to play tourist and shopper, sometimes buying chocolate or cotton candy from nearby stores. And, if they don't go into Starbucks, they can look at Chagrin Falls from the sidewalk along Main Street, which is also adjacent to the falls and this Starbucks. In terms of service, this store falls a little short. The service is quick enough and accurate but it doesn't seem to come with the easy smile found at most other stores. However, in all fairness, this is a popular and unique spot ... and they are slammed. Also, being inside a building that is older and somewhat repurposed, complete with wooden flooring, one has to keep in mind that they had to shoehorn a Starbucks store into here. The seating at the side of the store isn't like it is in a newer store, so it's not as comfortable. Also, not every table has a view over the falls. Only some do. Getting a table with a view is not guaranteed and might require playing musical chairs. Had this been a Starbucks in an unremarkable Main Street USA location, it probably would have fetched 3 stars. However, keeping in mind that it is crowded because of the touristic nature of this small town and realizing that it's not as comfortable as newer stores so they could put you right next to and above Chagrin Falls, it's a tradeoff that easily takes this Starbucks to a strong 4 stars.

Food: it's Starbucks. You know the deal. If you get a coffee, and ask for it there, get it in a mug! It makes drinks with whipped cream much more enjoyable! Atmosphere: right next to the literal chagrin falls, you can't go wrong camping out here for an afternoon. Seating is tight, but it has that classic coffee shop vibe. Staff is friendly and place is tidy.

Coffee. It brings people together, it warms bellies and warms hearts, and is in many ways powers the American work force (unless we are talking about coffee cultivation, where growers are often taken advantage of, in a high stakes and highly caffeinated game of life and death.) This Starbucks is perched above the roaring falls of the chagrin river, and is the perfect spot to grab a coffee drink or delicious pastry with a side of scenic view. Service quality varies, but is never less than okay. It can be tough to get a table, as they are often filled with people who sit there all day using Starbucks as their "office." Another drawback is the fact that in the summer, leather clad bikers stand all day very close the entrance smoking, attempting to show the world just how tough and cool they are. Get rid of these loiterers who make visiting this Starbucks a bad experience and I'd give it 4 stars. Until then, three it is.

Even though this Starbucks is constantly packed, it is a great neighborhood Starbucks. You forget it's a chain when you walk in and the employees know the familiar faces and have a conversation with you instead of just taking your order and moving on super fast. Some Starbucks don't make the drinks tastey or strong enough but everytime I come to this branch, they always make them perfectly. From flavor to temperature, they 99.9% hit it right on. I love going to this Starbucks located in the heart of chagrin falls. It's an experience, not just a stop.

Best Starbucks view around!

I really love how they have old vintage pictures of Chagrin Falls in the back by the bathrooms.

Try the Root Beer float…read more It uses Thirty dog brewery 's fabulous root beer and Country Maid's Vanilla ice cream. It will be the best one you've ever had. Trust me...its incredible.

A coffee shop that I can easily visit between hikes in a national park? Heck yes!…read more I stopped by the Peninsula Coffee House and Market during a weekend trip to Cuyahoga Valley National Park this year. I was lucky and snagged a parking space in front of the business; their parking is VERY limited and I'm surprised I didn't have to use a lot that was across a bridge. (Note that the bridge is right by the coffee shop, so it wouldn't have been a long trek at all.) I ordered a Butterscotch Latte and a Sausage, Biscuit & Egg breakfast sandwich; snagged a seat near the front of the store; and settled in for a relaxing break between my hikes. The coffee was excellent and the sandwich really hit the spot! While seating in the lower level is limited, I've learned reading other reviews that there is an outdoor patio and an upper level too. Their website mentions that they run a sundry market here too; however I didn't spend much time shopping in the interest of not stretching my wallet too far during my travels. I also didn't check out the wine cellar in the lower level. While this shop is little, it clearly has a lot to offer, and I am so glad I found it during my visit to Cuyahoga. I'd absolutely stop by again during future visits to the area...and I'd love to time my next visit so I can check out that wine cellar!
