Terrible experience at this Starbucks. I placed my order through the app and 15 minutes later it said my order was ready. When I arrived at the drive-thru they hadn't even started on it. I asked if I should wait in line or park, but no one gave me any answer. Frustrated, I went inside, and the staff simply confirmed my name without giving me any indication of how long I'd be waiting. To make matters worse, the store was practically empty--there were two customers waiting inside and only two cars in the drive-thru. It's clear this location is poorly managed. The lack of communication and efficiency is unacceptable, and I definitely won't be returning. If you value your time, I recommend going elsewhere. read more

Nothing to complain about! The Barista was kind and willing to answer questions! Also brought out sandwiches out to us! I loved the Spinach Egg White Wrap! And always have to grab the Brown Sugar Oat Milk Espresso! My daughter of course needed the epic teen favorite, refresher. If I could rate this particular experience a 0, I absolutely would. *Trigger Warning* If you don't want hair in your food, don't go here! I ordered a drink and a sandwich at the drive thru, and while still in the parking lot I checked my sandwich to re-arrange the bacon (thankfully) and then before I bit into it I noticed a blonde hair in my food. I wasn't upset originally because accidents happen, I just wanted a refund and I wasn't going to eat Starbucks that day. No problem right.....WRONG I showed the cashier my sandwich and explained to her that I just want my money back. She then asks "where is the hair?" So I'm pointing at it telling her that it's right in her face and she then tells me she can't see because she needs glasses. She then proceeds to pick at the sandwich in an attempt to pick up the hair. Now I'm annoyed and grossed out at this point because a simple apology and refund would have ended this situation. But no, she then pulls out what appears to be a long blonde hair, and instead of throwing it and the sandwich away she flings the hair behind the counter. Not ONLY does she do that, but she then proceeds to tell me that no one there had blonde hair and that it could have been Cheese! Cheese!! I had to nicely point out to her the 2 Baristas making sandwiches with long colored hair, and 1 particularly with curly blonde hair which is what she pulled out of my sandwich. She never apologized. She was not empathetic to the fact I almost ate hair from her location. I was disgusted. I was offended and will NOT be returning to that location. The saddest part is that I asked to speak to the manager, and the cashier WAS the manager. She needs some SERIOUS Leadership and Customer service training. ABSOLUTLEY UNNACCEPTABLE. read more

This was my first time back at Star Bucks in a long while . My son has grown very addicted to the secret menu items or recipes people has concocted that he now wants to try. He'd tried the cookies and creme frappacino and wanted me to taste the goodness. Let's just say I wasn't as big of a fan as he was. They were out of the cookies to go on top so he settled for some whipped cream. He got a venti size which was waaay too much for him but he wanted the venti from a pricing stand point. Eh. This Starbucks in the extremely congested parking lot containing a Chipotle, tanning salon, and Pap John's. It has a drive-thru which can cause some of the congestion especially since it isn't a particularly efficient drive-thru. The baristas are typically friendly and will TRY to get your order out as quickly as possible but, unfortunately, it doesn't usually pan out that way. Don't order for pick up at this location inside or on the app. They never get the entire order complete. Waited 40 minutes for a basic blond roast and breakfast sandwich. Order shows complete but no coffee. Go to the front and they say they don't have my coffee. Ok well then it needs to be made. They wanted me to coNtinue to wait. This spot is good for drive in only but not if there are more than 5 cars. Managers cannot seem to navigate volume for walk-ins or phone app orders. Usually I don't give reviews like this but this happens every time I order inside or on the app. Hoping the new University City location will hire better managers who know how to staff during peak times and deal with a high volume store. The people working there are friendly enough... But this morning - DAMN!!! The drive-thru was moving very slow, so I backed my car up and went inside... BIG mistake... I love Starbucks, and this is a great Starbucks because of the location and friendly staff, and there's a drive through now which is awesome. I never actually go inside because it's so busy all the time and the parking is always full. But it seems like every 1 out of 3 times my drink is either incorrect or poorly made. And when you're going through the drive through you're not exactly going to go back to get it fixed. Very frustrating. I love the iced green tea latte but they never make it the proper way and all the matcha powder gets stuck on the bottom or very clumpy. It's like the employee running the window is incapable of multitasking because they only service one person at a time. The only reason I gave this Starbucks 2 stars as opposed to 1 is because they have a drivethru. I liked this Starbucks before they moved to the new location. The old location would usually be moderately busy. But not like it is now. Every time I visit this Starbucks, it is completely slammed. Being busy isn't the problem, it's the size of the interior. This Starbucks has people squished in like sardines....they have huge tables that almost always have one person sitting at them with their laptop and schoolbooks spread out. I can never find a seat and no one EVER LEAVES. I think they need to have a time limit for people who sit there all day. The employees all look stressed, I assume because this is the busiest Starbucks in Charlotte. They are usually friendly though. I would avoid this Starbucks and hit the one on Mallard Creek or Davis Creek roads. read more

Well, the one good thing about Starbucks is you can get soy milk in your coffee all across the USA (and, they actually pay their employees quite well for food services, and give medical benefits). This Starbucks deserves a shout out since it is right next to Brueggers Bagels, which has free wifi. You can sit at this Starbucks and use the Brueggers FREE wifi rather than paying for T-Mobile through Starbucks. Be sure you buy a bagel or other goodie next door as well (although Brueggers closes around 4:00 in the afternoon. read more

OK, it's close to UNCC and it has outdoor seating. Beyond that, this Starbucks ain't nothin' special! The biggest negative is the lack of seating. There might be 5 of those super small round tables with 2 chairs and one small section of the soft cushion over-sized chairs. The staff is friendly but beware that the line can get very long very quick. The worst that I've experienced is around 7:30 AM on a weekday. I'm thinking many students and professors who have those 8AM classes just have to soak up the caffeine! Went there on a Thursday morning like I do every single morning when I go to work, 3 workers inside no one answered the drive thru intercom so I went around to window. 3 workers all stared at me thru the window for 10 mins no one said were closed or anything didn't even talk to me. Usually when I come here it's thru the drive thru. I generally get the same thing a caramel frap but lately I've tried the cold drinks (refreshers). I have to say that it's quite refreshing. I think the staff is professional and willing to answer any questions I had about the menu. read more
