This particular Starbucks location is located on State Road 50 and appears to be quite the popular Starbucks. It does make sense, State Road 50 is probably the main road through Clermont (which by the way, has grown so much in the twenty-plus years that I have been in Florida). The service was friendly and if you were a fan of starbucks, I think you would like this particular Starbucks. As for myself, I find Starbucks to be overpriced for the product they offer. Just a personal opinion and looking at the line to get into this particular location, I am definitely in the minority with this opinion. I decided to give it four stars because many people know the experience that they will have when going to a Srarbucks. If you are a fan of Srarbucks, you will like this place. read more

Rude, rude, rude. I pull up to the drive thru and they have an attitude because it's been two minutes since I placed my mobile order. She rudely tells me that she would appreciate me giving proper time for my order and they need ten minutes to make my three drinks. Ma'am. There are three people in line ahead of me and one behind me. HOW LONG WOULD IT HAVE TAKEN IF I PULLED UP TO THE DRIVE THRU AND ORDERED?!?! I saved you the steps of taking the order, ringing it in and taking my payment. Then when I pull up to the window the guy immediately Tells me to pull to the front to wait. This Starbucks is just "okay". If you have a need for speed (caffeine) then it'll work for you, but it's just not what I'm used to when it comes to the Starbucks brand. I've been here a handful of times, both drive-thru and inside. The time I went through the drive-thru was so slow so I tend to choose to go in now when the line is long and wrapped around the building. When I go inside, the workers are friendly enough, but not as friendly as some of the baristas at other Starbucks locations I frequent. They basically just take care of business, getting my order and taking my payment. My drinks are normally made fine so no complaints there. I usually get a "keto friendly" coffee or tea drink so I have very specific instructions about how to make my drinks to keep them low carb (ie leave out the regular sweetener or flavoring and use the sugar free option, use heavy whipping cream, use Monkfruit, etc.) My biggest disappointment is with the cleanliness of this location. I've had business meetings there and the tables are always dirty and we have to wipe them down before sitting out computer or paperwork on them. And there's always trash on the floor like napkins, straw wrappers, sugar packets wrappers, etc. It always makes me question the cleanliness of their equipment and employees hands when the inside isn't kept clean. read more

Oh boy. I was so hoping to help their reviews get better. What a terrible experience. I waited over 30 minutes in the drive thru for my two drinks. I drove away and one of the drinks was wrong. Oh my gosh. Seriously. After waiting the 30 minutes and not wanting to get out of my car and just swing by, this trip turned into an ordeal. I had to go back total store, park and go in to get my drink fixed after that 30 minute wait. Wow. The car in front of me had a drink order issue too. When I was coming out from the drink correction, I heard a couple coming in saying wow, I hope the wait is much better inside than in the drive thru and in passing I said "it's not!" And we laughed and they thanked me for the warning. The staff is super friendly but not top performers. The perfect word for this friendly staff is lackadaisical: without interest, vigor, or determination; listless; lethargic; lazy; indolent. They didn't seem to move at a pace that could maintain their customer load. Also, the woman doing food had her hair in her face and the stickers were touching the food. It was so gross. The counters were also filled with messes like they were stocking during this crazy busy time. Not a good idea. I'm not sure if maybe it's a newer staff for the holidays or something but wow this workflow was off. I felt like I was at chipotle! LOL! Also, when I finally got my drinks I had ordered waters. I asked for iced waters but the ice was non existent. I'm not sure if it was made so long ago the ice melted or if they just didn't put enough in or what but it wasn't iced. Just another part of the experience that was a let down. I feel like there were a ton of little things that added up to a negative experience. I could have dealt with a long wait, I could have dealt with no ice in my waters, a gals hair being a little in her face, stickers touching the food, an incorrect order or a slower staff...one of those I could tolerate... but all of it together just made it super frustrating and low key gross. Let me start by saying that I do enjoy Starbucks; however, this location in particular has upset me yet again and this time I have decided to leave a review. My daughter and I decided to head over on a Saturday morning-ish to go over to Starbucks. She wanted the pink drink and a tomato and mozzarella panini. I wanted a pumpkin steamer and a pumpkin scone. When ordering, I am advised for the 3rd time now, that they are out of paninis but I can order a breakfast sandwich. Really? Why do you keep it on your menu if every time I go you don't have them? Why did you send me an email offer to get extra points with the purchase of a sandwich (image was of the tomato and mozzarella panini) if you don't have it? When I tried to order a venti pumpkin steamer, they actually asked me what it was. I find this funny when I didn't even know such a thing existed until Starbucks introduced it to me last year. I ordered it all of pumpkin season last year at multiple locations with no issue too. So, I informed them that it was basically steamed milk and pumpkin - like a hot chocolate but pumpkin instead of chocolate. Move forward to the window. I pay and am handed our order to notice that my cup is cold. I tell them that it's supposed to be hot. Again, it's like a hot chocolate but pumpkin instead of chocolate. They take it back and say they will fix it. Now that I am on my way back home to Groveland, like a 25 minute drive mind you, my drink is finally at a temperature I can begin to sip. Ughhh, it taste like straight steamed milk. I check and there is a hint of a peach color to to it but there is no smell or taste of pumpkin. Not to mention, it's not even a venti, it's grande. Honestly, I can forgive a one time mistake on something but between not having the paninis ever, wrong size drink, trying to give it to me cold, no pumpkin flavor, I was very disappointed. We made the 25 minute drive over because this is the closest Starbucks to our house and they "offer" menu items not available elsewhere. This is probably the busiest Starbucks that I have ever visited so I almost always use the mobile app to order. It's super convenient and my drinks are always ready when I walk in. I have never had a mix up or an unpleasant experience. It is always clean and orderly inside and they have a nice outdoor seating area. When using the drive thru it can get confusing because there is not a clearly designated lane for cars to enter while waiting. On several occasions cars were lined up to the right and left of the drive thru entrance. This makes things pretty difficult for those who parked their cars to make an easy exit. At that point I highly recommend just parking your car and braving the line inside. read more

WORST STARBUCKS EXPERIENCE TO DATE!! We ordered at the drive thru. Batista could not correctly put in the first coffee order. My wife had to start it over. Batista then took my order. It was incorrect as well. Lo and behold if our coffees were not made correctly when we received them. My wife honked the horn to get a barista's attention. There was no acknowledgement. In fact, Spence, the manager, looked out at us but never acknowledged us. When my wife asked for her coffee to be made over, the female Batista berated her. According to her, that's how it was to be made. I also ordered a grilled cheese sandwich. It was NOT done. The Barista refused to remake our coffees. My wife told them we would be calling corporate. The employee told us to call. To add insult to injury, she SLAMMED the drive thru window shut. I have NEVER experienced employees being so disrespectful and arrogant. This store will suffer with poor comprehensive skills and customer service. I would give zero stars if possible!! read more

I left a review here last Fall and I stand by everything I wrote here originally. That said, I just wanted to add one new service observation: This is the second time recently that I've ordered and paid for a food item that Starbucks belatedly discovered was no longer in stock. The manager refunded my money and bought me an alternative item as a gesture of goodwill and to make up for the inconvenience. TIP DuJour: Bright sunshine and a steady light breeze remains following a heavy early morning rain shower -- keeping temperatures down to a relatively pleasant tropical 80-something. This location is always busy and the drinks take quite a bit. I have learned to only order mobile and even earlier then I normally would have. They did make my drink wrong one time and I could not go back. When I called the manager answered and apologized and offered a refund when I can make it back in. The drinks are normally made to order and they do work hard to get the drinks out. I think there needs to be another location in the area to help the traffic flow for this location. They do the best that they can with the small space and volume of traffic. read more

A busy location with a lot of foot traffic, but the staff is nice and keeps everything moving relatively quickly, so that helps! We were in the area for a Dr. appt so we hit this location up. It's definitely a further away location for us, but it one of the perks of this chain is that their locations are all over and easy to find. It's all about the consistency of what you know that will keep pulling you in to their other places. Everything was clean and the whole place looked well kept. The staff definitely knew some of the regulars and they chatted, which made it feel very friendly and welcoming. Overall: A Solid stop off for a local location. read more

The rudest Starbucks staff I believe I have ever encountered, mobile ordered to make it easier and then went through drive through to pick up with my toddler in the car who can't be alone. I got chastised by the staff for mobile ordering because apparently it takes 10-15 minutes to make 2 drinks, their words not mine. So what's the difference between us and the people who are ordering at the window and get their drinks in less than a few minutes. Not only that they then told us to pull around the front of the store and we would have to wait for our drinks. They didn't make anyone else do that. I went today for a caramel macchiato after such an overwhelming and hard week. The barista - a brunette woman with a low, long ponytail and an orange fox/cat mask - wrote a sweet message on my lid before handing it to me. I went here to order a couple coffees and pastries yesterday and while I was waiting I couldn't help but notice - that the entire staff at Starbucks, from the mobile order girl to the super friendly cashier, and everyone working diligently making everyone's coffee, were absolutely trying their hardest to go through everyone's orders as best as they could! Yes the wait took a bit longer than average but from looking around I can see how much demand they had, even their drive-thru was a huge line and cars honking etc. Every time I go inside to order the cashier and staff are super friendly and warm, one time my app wasn't loading for minutes and she was so pleasant making conversation with us saying too take our time as there were no other customers. The outdoor patio is great for working as there are outlets so it's super convenient for those still WFH. read more

One star only because I can't give zero. Yesterday 7/13/2021 at 5pm, I went to SB, waited in a long drive thru line to get my dad his favorite drink from SB's as his birthday gift. When I got to the counter, I realized they had gotten the drink wrong so I asked Jen to make a new drink and please print Happy Birthday Dad on the label. I had not paid for my order yet because they had gotten it wrong so I didn't why there was an issue to print a new label. One of the girls gave me so much attitude, then proceeded to write Happy Birthday on a random piece of scrap with jagged torn edges with her terrible handwriting; because of the material of paper, the ink was coming off in my hand. A lot of these negative reviews for this place can be explained by how insanely fast clermont is growing and how every business is struggling to keep up, especially since COVID. I've come here a lot, service is, majority of the time, great. Exactly what I expect. A few times it was iffy, sometimes it took way longer than needed for a black coffee, but for the most part it's great. The drive thru line gets LONG, this is in a busy location, clermont has grown a lot. It sucks, but not Starbucks fault. I have had drinks made wrong a few times because of how busy it is, and it's annoying, but these times are few. Bottom line: the busyness of the store is not the fault of the business in this case. The employees are friendly and helpful and I feel welcomed there. The drinks are, well, starbucks drinks. It's what I expect at the very least. This place is not as bad as other reviews make it out to be. Disclaimer: I used to work here a few years ago, so I'm a tad biased. They never mess up an order but it's always inconsistent, there is clearly zero structure in this place. And I now have an ongoing joke with my friends where I turn on my timer when I order my drink. I understand there is others ahead of me, and complicated orders, However. Back to my first point I feel there could be a better way to resolve This issue. I observe the frustration in the other customers when waiting for their own drinks, and the amount of inconsistencies being served brings that many back for remakes making my timer still running for a simple iced chia with no moderations done to them. I love coming to this Starbucks. The employees are always friendly,smiling and greet you as soon as you walk in. The indoor are/seating is small, not the smallest I've seen, but I wouldn't want to have a personal conversation inside. The outdoor area is large with plenty of seating. It's not a quite area like indoors,as the drive through cars pass in front of the area. When the weather is nice this area is packed. This Starbucks is always great! But forewarning - it's ALWAYS busy. They are on a major highway in Clermont. Be prepared to wait a bit. That being said, their drive thru is very efficient and their food and drink quality is on point. One employee, in particular, is stellar. This place is lucky to be the only Starbucks in the area. Should there be more competition, then maybe the service level would improve. Today (a Sunday early afternoon), it took well over ten minutes for a simple drink to be prepared. It wasn't crowded, though there was a small line in front of me. But the time I clocked was based on the moment I paid; not when I went inside. The reason for the slow service were not so much from the other patrons. No, it was due to the staff fraternizing so much with some guests who entered but didn't buy drinks. Based on the impression I received, they were either former or current employees visiting old friends. While it's perfectly fine to greet and even chit chat at work - I welcome that type of atmosphere. It shouldn't impact performance. There were at least 7-8 batistas behind the counter. Yet 4-5 of them were grouped by the drive-thru register and spot. It just seemed cluttered behind the counter; not to mention very untidy. As I mentioned in the beginning; this place is quite lucky to have landed a spot with little competition. But I'm certain once one does appear, they will struggle if they don't get their act together. Came in on an afternoon 3 PM so I can take a business call and get some free wifi. I'm on the road often and like to pull over for an online conference while enjoying a quiet ambience and nice coffee. THIS IS NOT THAT LOCATION! This is an extremely busy location. Lots of folks getting pick up orders and the noise level is very high. I would not recommend this to be a place to study or take a phone call. The staff have no sense of urgency and don't take initiative to assist with expediting orders. I was waiting in line with one other person in front of me while there were 4 people behind the counter I was trying to get eye contact to come help me. They didn't look like they were filling pick up orders, nor were they working the drive through. This location is probably good for to-go and drive through orders, but def not the chill quiet coffee vibe inside. You can do better Starbucks. read more
