Terrible customer service. Waited 20 mins before getting my drink, before giving me a completely different drink. When i told her my matcha latte was green juice all she said was hold on i'll need to see your sticker first....After going to the cashier to tell him my order is wrong also and i want a refund he just said sorry im not the manager i can't do anything. At least say sorry we messed up. They were so unapologetic i didn't even bother having them remake anything. I am not a regular at this Starbucks. They only filled my drink not even 3/4 full. That does not usually happen at my regular SB. For as much as you pay for their coffee, come on. Constantly understaffed and working the baristas to the bone and they constantly look stressed leading to long wait times. I love Starbucks coffee . I go to the Colonnade shopping center . This time I ordered their breakfast . Wrap and chocolate croissants. Please do it waste your money and order their breakfast . It is not freshly made they just heat up in the microwave . Food taste awful hard and chewy . I do love their Lemmon pound cake . My advice stick to coffee . They do not make good ice coffee . I've been to this Starbucks a few times in the past - for some reason I wanted to avoid the Starbucks closer to my house - the parking lot this evening in front of my Starbucks was a traffic jam - I think between everyone rushing out for groceries at the Giant next door, booze from the ABC Store, and other shopping center supplies - accounts for the vast numbers of cars jamming the lot. Anyhow, I made my way to the alternate Sbux - it has a Clifton address, but technically, it's part of the greater Centreville region. I've never had a bad drink from this Sbux - but tonight was kind of weird. I ordered a Dopio Espresso Machiatto - when I received the drink (it comes in one of those real small dinky cups), the drink was so heavy that I instantly knew that something was amiss. I opened it and looked and it was filled to the brim with milk - sort of like a mini latte. I advised to the Barista that this WAS NOT what I had ordered. He seemed like he was new, so I cut him some slack. The manager then came over, re-made my drink - and it was still wrong. She tried to tell me that this is how the drink is made (it still had wayyyyyyy to much milk in it). I responded that every other Starbucks I've ever been in has made it thusly: two shots of espresso with some foam on top. So the manager re-made the drink again - this time it was correct. Sheesh! Don't know why that was so difficult. The quality of the eventual drink is 4 stars, but I am subtracting a star for the quality of the experience. I know, I'm a picky bastard! read more

This is our regular haunt for coffee runs. The staff are generally pretty friendly but today's experience was especially warm as I was served by a rookie cashier with a chirpy and amenable personality. Though I usually prefer hot drinks, the Iced Cinnamon Almond Milk Macchiato sounded too good to pass up. I'm glad I tried it (albeit with just one pump of syrup) as it's well-balanced and smooth without excessive acidity or bitterness. Yummy! read more

This is by far the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. Service is iffy but definitely the quality of people they have preparing the food. After eating one of the egg bites I notice on the bottom of the other bite is a long piece of hair...on the other bite is more hair like either someone dropped it OR either that person was UNSANITARY and didnt wash their hands and was playing in their hair. Note to the owners of this trap: When you're in the food business, make sure the kids you hire have common sense and are careful when preparing customers food. Thanks. read more

This Starbucks is always busy! It's right near a high school, so you better believe there's a lot of business right before school and right after school. If you want coffee during this time, I'd recommend an online order. They are so efficient with those! I've never had to wait longer than the suggested wait time when I place one. Clean facility, friendly staff, and they always get your order right. I wish the seating area was just a little larger, but what can you do? The gentleman wasn't to friendly sorta sassy attitude but the female there was very kind. We went here and met a really good friend of mine close like a brother. We got to catching up and enjoyed our drinks and the place was quite because it was close to closing time and we had to leave soon so we didn't stay long. But if the Mr. Sassy guy wasn't so sassy and rude with his attitude I'd give 5 stars. Reason why i said sassy and rude because he walked away multiples times when we were trying to order and I had some questions and he answered them mostly. And when it came time to pay my brother and I wanted to pay for our bill. And I turned back my head and noticed mr sassy man that helped the next customer behind us looked at her with a annoyed face and said omg to her like obviously we are a big pain. Very rude. Not a good attitude and not good customer service from him. He was a dark tan, and had facial hair and glasses. If manager reads this , he needs to straight his act up. Very unpleasant dealing with mr sassy pants, especially when trying to order and he kept walking away multiple times while we were trying to order. I am a frequent customer at this location and today, i have experienced the most unpleasant encounter with one of their employee. It was my fault for sitting down on a stool that didn't have a sign saying "reserved, can't use" like other chairs next to it and the employee who was walking into start her shift points finger at me saying "missy, you can't sit there." I instantly got up, apologized and stood there for a second until i realized that her manner of approaching me was very rude and disrespectful. I mumbled "well, that was rude." And her response was "I'm sorry if you felt that way." My mind was just blown by her customer service. I hope this kind of rudeness doesn't happen to any other customers as it is very disrespectful and offending. read more

I haven't been to this location in a while but it looks like they have made some upgrades. Cute lamps, painted walls, nice mirrors. The waiting area in the back used to have tables, but now it's more open with just seating and I think they added some lighting which brightens up the place. Very, very disappointed in this location. I'm a Starbucks person, I get it 3-4 times a week, if not more. But I will not be going back to this storefront again. I did a mobile order just 30 mins ago. I get it's a Saturday and busy so I didn't mind the wait. The mobile order stand is in the most inconvenient, in the way spot in the whole store. It's right where the line starts before the pastry container. So while I waited I had to repeatedly tell other customers in line that I was not in fact in line. I was waiting for my mobile order. That was just slightly annoying. What really pissed me off was my drink. When I pay $5 for a drink I expect it to be made the way it's supposed to be made. I got a tall caramel brûlée latte. That's my go to this time of year. I requested extra candy topping. Instead I got espresso and milk. That's it. No caramel brûlée syrup, no whipped cream, no candy topping. Oh, and my drink was on 2/3 of the way full. Also, lukewarm. We were in a hurry so we could not turn back to get it fixed. I've been coming here somewhat regularly because I drive from Woodbridge to Herndon, and this is the only coffee shop ~on the way~ when I drive through Clifton. I always do the mobile ordering because otherwise I'd be there for 20 minutes because this is the slowest Starbucks in the world. Recently, I've had to place my order far ahead of time hoping that MAYBE it would be ready when I arrived. (If the app says 3-7mins, I plan for 10-13). This morning it S T I L L wasn't ready even with me placing my order early. I can understand if maybe one day they had a higher than normal customer volume and got behind, but this is EVERY SINGLE TIME. It is really annoying that they offer a service (mobile ordering) yet they are obviously overwhelmed/under bad management/don't care. They all work at a snails' pace with no sense of urgency no matter if you place your order ahead of time or not. Also, whomever made my drink the past 3 times need to be re-trained on the espresso machine. The shots obviously sat for way too long. read more

I understand that they are probably hiring new staff at this location after Covid started, but I'm saddened that I can't count on my mobile orders being ready anymore. I came here for years and only see a couple of original staff here, but I used to come here due to the drinks being readily made. Not any more. I really like this Starbucks and the staff is great...bit I cannot give 5* love to this location because of the brewing inconsistencies. I typically drink Pike or Blonde daily and treat myself to the more delicious varieties on the weekends. What continues to baffle me is the frequent inconsistency with their regular coffee. Just yesterday I was given a Blonde roast that was basically just hot, brown water. Then today I get a Pike Place that's either too strong, over brewed, burnt...or all of the above. What bothers me most is that it's too hot to try until I'm down the road well into my morning commute. By then there's nothing I can do but drink nasty coffee or pour $2.45 down the drain. If not for the friendly and fast service here, this would be a 3* location in my opinion. read more

Went yesterday because I needed some caffeine terribly before work. Cutest Asian barista working there. Gosh why do I always look shitty in public... But that's besides the point. He seemed to have a lot of energy. But then again, he works at Starbucks. All that coffee crack and they prob get to drink coffee for free so that might explain the high energy smiley smiles. He was super nice though and even stirred my drink for me which I thought was sweet. Never had any baristas stir my drink for me and my green tea lattes always end up having the green powder clumps or whatever. Anyways I've been to this Starbucks couple of times since it's in a convenient location. Clean, cozy, yada yada typical Starbucks. Will be going to this location more often since I work nearby and also my dry cleaners are right next door and my god manhatten bagel is right there too. And paneraaaaaasaaaaa.
