Good place to get a boba tea. My fiancée has really been loving the malted milk teas because they remind her of a milkshake. I had a sip of hers and can confirm that's what it tastes like. I like to get the fruit flavored bobas. Mango, peach, etc are all good here. The service here is very minimal. There's not a lot of contact with anyone, if at all. There's screens to order on and they call your number whenever it's ready. But it's usually very quick so that's nice! The ambiance is casual and basic. There's not much to do except order and leave. But they do have little decorations and stuff on the walls for the couple of tables they have inside. read more

I am so glad to have found this gem by our house! I came in with my husband on a rainy Sunday and staff was very welcoming and kind. We both ordered our favorite, Thai Milk Tea. I got honey boba that was delicious. My husband decided to branch out with oolong tea jelly and we both agreed it was pretty light in flavor and we wouldn't order it again. I really need to listen to my inner voice when I make mental observations! I ordered three bubble teas (KF Milk Tea, Oolong Milk Tea, and Thai Milk Tea) during the holiday weekend and they took down the order right. My order was completed quickly and they all looked the right sizes and had the right labels. I felt something was off, but it didn't really register until I got home. The Thai Milk Tea DID NOT look like it's namesake despite having the correct label. It looked more similar in color to the other two in my order....but not quite right either. After doing the taste test, it was definitely confirmed to not be Thai Milk tea. I'm very disappointed from this experience and will probably have to be more diligent if I order from this location again. On a side note, the transaction was quick and the cashier was nice. OH MY GAWD!! Guys. This place is the bomb! I love bubble tea and have tried so many different places. I've gone in different cities, states, countries and I have yet to find a better bubble tea place than here. I'm not even exaggerating. They have so many different options; hot/cold, slushy/milk tea/punches, sweet/less sweet, the list goes on! I used to love taro slush but ever since KFT opened I always get the punches because they're light and refreshing. My go to is the peach oolong but I also recommend the mango green tea, passion fruit green tea, and the lychee black tea. I used to always get the boba (bubbles) because they're delicious here but recently switched to the grass/herbal jelly. It's a little weird because it doesn't have a taste but whatever drink you get it takes the taste of that which is cool! Also KFT has an app so the more you go you get free drinks and stuff! I came here on a Saturday evening, it wasn't super packed... which was surprising. This location shares a parking lot with several other retailers. The setup of the shop is odd, there really isn't a great waiting area for your drink. There is a narrow hallway of seats pushed against a wall or you can stand to wait for your drink at the end of the counter. It gets pretty crowded with even just four people. The staff will hand out drinks at the front of the counter as well next to the cash register so that helps. I ordered the Taro Milk Tea, it is comparable to all other locations I have visited :) This location accepts payments through the Kung Fu Tea app. There was a buy one, get one free promotion that I had received through email that this location would not honor -_- Staff were friendly enough, but disappointing that they would not honor their company's email promotion. read more

If it were Hung Fu Tea, then it'd be where I go to pick up guys. But it's not, so I don't. Well actually sometimes I do, but that's a story for another day. What to get: Lemon Black Tea With Tapioca! Honey Oolong Milk Tea! Or in winter: Any of the hot milk teas! Which milk teas are best: As I said, Honey Oolong! Oolong! Maybe Taro or Almond! Generally speaking, Kung Fu Tea scores 5, but it's usually a low 5, considering that it's a massive international corporate chain, whose milk teas don't match up to the best chains: Sharetea, Gong Cha and Coco. However, they're still really good, and the fruit teas here are among the best. Especially the lemon black tea which absolutely rocks my world. The Milk Teas that do stand alongside any of the best chains, though, are the Honey Oolong and the Oolong. The Honey Milk Tea is pretty good too. But always get Black Teas, not Green Teas. They're just better. In my opinion anyway. And getting these teas hot can really change the game on a winter's day. It makes the tapioca balls hot too. The Honey Oolong in particular is sensational when hot. This particular location is so friendly it's annoying. DMV is not a particularly friendly or integrated area, but when you step inside this shop you'd be forgiven for thinking you were part of a really close-knit community. Not only do they serve with a happy smile, but they will serve you right up until closing time (at least the times I've been in here late - there were no issues) which some of these franchise locations would never do. One in particular has turned me away 35 minutes before closing time, before, because "we're cleaning the machines, shutting them down, sorry." And if it were the ruler of all bubble teas, it'd be King Fu Tea, but while it's good, it's not quite that good. read more

I always get their honey milk green tea (30% sweetness) with boba :) I would definitely recommend this place. The only thing to keep in mind as you're ordering is that this kung fu tea is sweeter than other boba places such as teas n you. I would definitely recommend getting 50% sweetness for milk teas. I truly think I'm addicted to it at this point. I have tried their Annandale location, as well as their Tyson's stand, but still prefer Centreville because the tea just tastes the best here (in my opinion). My favorite ones are Wintermelon Milk Tea and Taro Milk Tea. What attracts me to KFT is the non-powdery taste of the tea and the ability to customize my order based on sweetness, iciness and toppings. I always get bubbles as I don't like the other toppings. In general I like KFT because they have good boba compared to other places. I have no problem with the taste of the drinks here. When it gets busy here, the line does not move fast enough Maybe they need another register. Poor workflow. When I went last time, my lid was not properly sealed. The guy who got a drink before me, his cup was also not properly sealed. AND the person after me guess what? The cup exploded! Her cup not only wasn't properly sealed, there was a defect in the cup that made it pretty thin on one edge and when she went to grab her fragile cup, all the contents leaked. Not saying anything bad about the taste, but quality within quantity matters. I can go alllll across the lands for boba tea and STILL, Kung Fu tea is the top as far as taste. I really enjoy the ginger milk tea, the prices have increased which is wild that the cost of a drink is equivalent to the cost of a low end meal but, we all cave into a nice treat sometimes. Sometimes I walk in but more than often I order on door dash. At one point I ordered a ginger boba milk almost daily. I would sometimes ask for light boba and extra ginger because there is no option to choose extra ginger, to be considerate I substituted that I would accept less boba. Most of the time, the staff accommodate me and make the small adjustment; however, there is one employee who sometimes when they see my order refuse. I'm really not sure why and it seems like an adjustment that would be an easy switch especially when I also provide tip. I'm not sure if the tip goes to only the driver or the business but as often as I order there I was surprised my request seemed to be bothersome to this particular individual. To the employees who saw my request and take into account how often I order, thank you greatly, may God continue to bless you. And thank you for recognizing that you can play a role in how well a person's day goes just by your treatment to them and showing kindess.
