I echo other reviews when I say this is easily the most inefficient Starbucks in Columbia. The drive-through is painfully slow and always has a long line, no matter the time of day. Great friendly staff, but they are chronically slow. They are often out of simple items like cold brew early in the day. 15-20 minute wait times during none peak hours with 6 team members active. There is usually only one person on register, who also makes all the food items. Again they are always nice and apologetic so it seems more like improper management. Most stores I frequent have at least one person only on register, a separate person on food, and 2-3 on bar. This is a busy area so efficiency is key. read more

Came here on what appeared to be a non-busy Monday morning. Came inside due to the fact that I had special orders I needed to place. No one was inside besides myself and the employees, took almost 10 minute before anyone even acknowledged me or said hello let alone ask if I'm ready to order. I'm not sure what's going on at this Starbucks location. I frequent this location often and the past few months service has been horrible. The espresso is burnt giving my drinks a bad taste. Every order is lacking something and I end up with a cup of hot milk with no taste. I ordered a grande and the cup is 3/4 full and the service is slow. read more

This Starbucks is one of three that are basically right on top of each other in NE Columbia. There is one inside of Kroger's on Two Notch, and two in Sandhills that are approximately a stone's throw apart. This one is the one with the drive-through right off of Clemson Rd. It is every inch the normal Starbucks that you would expect: staff is generally friendly, orders are usually delivered correctly and having the drive through is a huge bonus if you don't feel like getting out of the car. Where this location falls short is the service. While the staff is friendly, this is probably the slowest Starbucks I have ever been to. Whether you use the drive-through or go inside, no matter if there is a long line or an empty lobby, the wait is always atrocious. I'm not sure if this is a training issue or what. I have been frequenting this location for almost a year, the issue has not changed, but there are new faces every month or so. My advice to anyone would be to try the other location right at the central roundabout in Sandhills. The parking isn't ideal and there's no drive-through, but the staff is great and they whip the drinks out extremely fast. read more

This location takes forever to get through the drive thru even if there are only 3 cars in front of you. Once you are in line you are stuck, so if you don't have a half hour to wait for a coffee don't chance this location. It doesn't matter what time of the day it is either. read more

Maybe this was a shitty Starbucks day but it was easily the longest I've ever waited for any fast food in my life. Walked in and walked out 28 minutes later. I actually don't mind waiting if there is any attempt at service recovery, but there wasn't. By the time they said 'sorry for the wait', their backs were already turned starting another drink. It has a drive-through, though we never use it since we only visit this one to hit the movies across the parking lot. Coffee is ok, service is much slower than elsewhere. We always go outside to smoke cigars and visit. Get a lot of dirty looks (KMA), which is ok, but this Starbucks seems to have a larger percentage of snooty money-spoiled customers than those we find at Five Points or even Garners Ferry Rd. Outside is really breezy cold in the fall and spring and way too exposed in the winter, not bad in the summer though as long as it isn't late afternoon when you can't escape the direct sunlight. We never drink inside with the non-social Facebook crowds. All SBs have the worst over-priced pastries going. One of my buds won't even steal them, nuff said on that. read more

Being this was my first time at a Starbucks since moving to Columbia I have to say I was pretty happy with the service. I've always stayed away from the corporate coffee companies and stuck with local dives. Although we went through the drive-through, with there being a few cars ahead of us, the wait time was very efficient and minimal. I made a specific coffee order and also had questions. The barista was knowledgable and accommodating. And the Espresso double shot Frapp was delish! read more

Let's not kid ourselves, Starbucks is not the pinnacle of amazing coffee but it is a place where one can go when in a pinch and looking for consistency. Sadly, this may be the saddest Starbucks I've visited - and I've been to stores in other parts of the world where English is not the primary language spoken. My major gripes with this location is speed - I'm a southerner and used to a slower pace, but when it comes to the McDonalds of coffee, I don't like waiting as if it's a smaller local shop. My second gripe is consistency, the point of chains is knowing that X is X no matter where you are. I just relocated to this area and have visited this Starbucks several times. Today was the worst day at this location. The drive thru line was extremely slow, although they had only 2 cars in front of me, and they messed up my beverage even after I asked the attendant to repeat my order. I stayed in drive thru for 10 minutes. When I went inside to get my drink made over the so called Manager expected me wait another 10 minutes for my drink. I told the Manager absolutely NOT. She stopped whatever she was doing to make my drink personally, with an attitude, I might add. I ended up calling Corporate on these folks. I am so not use to this kind of service from Starbucks. This location needs to get it together before they lose one Valued Customer!!! read more

The people here are nice and move quickly to serve their customers in a timely manner. My only concern is the quality of what they are serving. I only got one drink, so maybe it was just a mishap, and doesn't happen often - but I got an iced mocha with soy milk and quite frankly, I should have said I want a soy milk mocha chilled. What I got was a chunk of ice with a sip of coffee and topped with whipped cream. It was literally gone in under two minutes. For five bucks, I expected better - guess I shouldn't have. read more

This place is close to my house so it is super convient. It seems to be sort of hit or miss with the quality of the drinks themselves although the people who work their seem pretty nice. The parking sort of blows when it's busy, the drive thru can get backed up. It's not the best Starbucks I have ever visited but it certainly isn't the worst. When I first started coming to this Starbucks there would be a line, however it would move relatively quick. The last couple of months it is so slow! I sat in the drive through for 30 minutes one day before I was even able to order. Normally it's 15-20 minutes of waiting in the drive through... everyone is very friendly and the service is never typically an issue. Why are they handing drinks from the drive through area up to the front and the front to the drive through? Seems to me that's the problem! It shouldn't take this long. read more

I have been coming to this Starbucks location since it has opened. I actually prefer it to any of the other Starbucks in the area including the one that used to be in the mall. The staff at this location has always been very friendly and if you are a regular they even remember your name and drink. Some of the staff members know me so well, the moment they see me pull into the parking lot and before I can even get out of my car they start making my drink. I love it when I walk up and hand them my registered Starbucks card and they hand me my drink at the same time. This location has a nice size patio. Picture yourself sitting on their patio with your family and friends on a warm summer night, just the slightest breeze blowing, enjoying the out doors while sipping on your icy cold Venti Frappiccino and relaxing. Ok, I have just talked myself into heading over there as soon as I finish this review. *laughs* There is a downside to this location. Since they have closed down the location in the mall this location can get pretty busy on the weekends even with a full staff and all the space they have inside and out. So be prepared to wait at times especially if a movie has just let out. On the upside the weekdays are a lot less crowded. Also on the downside this is a training location and some times your drinks can be a little off but don't let that scare you off. There is an upside, if you don't like your drink they will make you a new one so don't be afraid to let them know that its not right. It's the only way the trainees will learn. I hope this review is helpful to others and maybe I will see some new faces next time I am there. The worst Starbucks ever. I'be lived in the area for a year and have never received my order in a reasonable amount of time. I can't come on the way to work or on my lunch break, because it takes an average of 10 minutes to get through the drive thru. The parking is congested, so I still end up being blocked in when I choose to go in. The staff is always polite and friendly, but it just doesn't make up for the time I spend waiting. read more

This starbucks has a relatively big store front and a nice outside sitting area. It's a perfect place for meeting with friends or trying to get work done. The staff is friendly. If you go there often, they remember your names and your drinks. This starbucks can get very very busy- try to avoid the crowd if you can. read more

I have waited 15 min multiple times for a coffee both in the drive thru and inside. If they didn't have nice employees I would definitely give them 2 stars. Today we had a very good experience 11/27/2017. The place was actually clean and it was still being cleaned as they were taking care of customers, that's a big plus. Employees were very pleasant and made you feel like they were happy to make your experience with them their top priority. Unfortunately most times this Starbucks is like going to Vegas sometimes you win sometimes an more often then not you lose. Not a clean place at all, mobile orders were not called out so people picked up all the drinks to see who's drink has been placed up for the mobile and regular orders that are ready for pickup. Grant it when a few of the regulars are making the drinks they are friendly enough to offset the dirty, and supply laden area to keep us coming back. We seriously think about going to the Starbucks in Kroger's half the time it would be less frustrating. If it wasn't for experiences like today's to offset a few nights ago we would definitely find a new place to spend our money. read more

Have visited this Starbucks multiple, multiple, times over the last 3 years. Was marginally impressed with the promptness of receiving our drinks ( usually 10-15 minutes), less impressed with time to place order up to 15 minutes usually, ( often 10 or so peeps in line with one register open ) and rarely gets my drink right. Cleanliness is subpar as the trash cans are filled to the brim and running over. Opened cartons of merchandise waiting to be placed on shelves sitting around, often blocking doorway to the bathrooms. Today while there all of these things were present as well as spilled drink on the floor by the pick up bar, and dirty tables with used napkins, empty cups and food containers on them. I go to Starbucks to caffeine up, but as well, it's an expensive experience one which should be catered to and filled with excellent service and stand up to the quality and persona that Starbucks represents. I have lived and travelled all over the U.S. A. And abroad, and this is the WORST Starbucks that I have ever visited. I moved to this area 3 years ago from Seattle, WA and they hold those franchises to very high standards. Paul Schultz would be horrified by this one! read more
