I enjoyed the shrimp & grits (8/10, I like my grits a little thicker & the flavors were good but different from shrimp & grits that I have had in the past. My partner enjoyed the salmon benedict (9/10), it was full of flavor and the egg on top was cooked to perfection. The side of fruit was refreshing and paired nicely with the meal. When we entered, the hostess was not very welcoming. She just looked at us said "3?" And then walked away for us to follow her. The only reason they are getting 2 stars is because our server was wonderful. And we had good coffee before receiving our mediocre food. The food had very little seasoning, my biscuits and gravy meal was cold, the biscuits were hard and dry, potatoes were just plain fried potatoes with no seasoning, the gravy was gooey, cold, and flavorless and the eggs for my meal didn't come out as ordered. My husband didn't mind the flavor of his omelette however it was also cold, the grits were flavorless. The only okay thing about the food were the pancakes my son ate. I ended up not even eating my meal because it was honestly just gross. I finished the pancake my son didn't eat and ended up getting food elsewhere afterwards. My boys and I ate Mother's Day brunch here. We expected it to be crowded, but was hoping they would have a wait-list. I was disappointed when I tried calling for two days and never had my calls answered. The phone just rang and rang until it eventually hung up. I was only calling to see if they were by chance taking reservations which I knew was a very slim chance or if they had a wait list or whatever. When we arrived, we were told we had an hour and a half wait. We asked if they could take our number since their wasn't anywhere to wait inside and it was cold and windy outside. They said they could only call our names within earshot and if we didn't respond or left and came back and our name had been called, they would put us next on the list. Interesting Once we were seated, we were served by a very sweet young lady who was very helpful and kind. It was quite awhile before we received our food, but we were patient because we understand how demanding it can be at restaurants at this time. The place is clean, but kind of boring with decor. The bar seating area, food only was large and roomy. The bathrooms were clean and seating area was average. One thing I noted that should be addressed are the waitresses on their phones while on the clock. This is a typical trend among our teens today which I hope can one day go away. It was easy to see from my angle that they were to keep their phones, I guess tucked behind the bar area, but that is also where they were prepping things such as silverware, syrup, water, coffee, etc. So, they would grab your phones real quick, text or whatever and then hurriedly push it back under the little counter area, but I could plainly see several of them on their phones. The food came out about 40 minutes later. Again, this was understandable, but you can imagine how hungry we were after all this time. I ordered the Harvest Benedict with a side of dollar pancakes and grits. My meal was good, but really could have used more veggies. It was well prepared and served warm. Our waitress, checked on us and all her tables very frequently and refilled drinks and answered questions of her guests very pleasantly and calmly. Through small talk, I was informed that she would be graduating from high school in a month and attending Clemson University. I wish there will and told her how much we appreciate it her service today. She saved the day for many in my eyes and deserved a great tip from everyone, which we definitely gave. read more

The girls at the hostess stand were gossipy, mildly rude, and seemed more excited to talk to each other than to assist the customers. I was seated quickly for a saturday brunch but it took a while for someone to come get my drink order. The restaurant interior is okay but everything had that older outdated semi grimy feal that just should not belong is a cute little french breakfast restaurant. I think I was expecting a much more appealing interior and more comfortable seating. This place did not care about how you felt eating there. Then..the food. Gross. I ordered a spinach turkey avocado sandwich item, if you could call it that. The spinach was wet and from frozen so it soaked the entire bottom piece of bread. My friends breakfast was better -- she got the monte cristo crepes and was happy. They looked much better than my entree so I would point you in that direction. It took a long time to get our food, probably 45-60 mns. Then we tried to check out and it was a hassle with tickets and trying to pay at the hostess stand while they were running around seating new people. I saw our server roll her eyes repeated about other tables and customers when they couldn't see her but our table could. It was really obvious that she was not loving her job and did not really like anyone so that was not great. It was just very chaotic and seemed unorganized. I won't be back. The menu looked so good, we drove an hour to try this place. The ooey gooey cinnamon bun looked and tasted like a store bought processed honey bun with extra sugar poured over it. The grits were like rice crisps in cold butter milk. Our server forgot the syrup 5 times, we eventually shared with the table next to us. Once we were sat, there was a bit of a wait, he greeted us and was able to answer a few questions. The menu says Mimosa Linter. It really means Liter. We ordered. We sipped. And we ate. Presentation is everything. Just twice I've been back, let's face it, their breakfasts are best in this area. Lately, I order the herbal tea, it comes out on a plate, cup on top of a dolly, two tea bags on the side, separate containers of honey and lemon slices. Today, nothing of the sort. The waitress, apologized because she didn't find dollies. What about the rest? When I remarked, she said, oh would you like a plate? After you've dropped everything on the table, with no cup, needing to grab a cup? No, thank you. The food was good. The receipt normally is placed on the table. The fryer was down, no salad, no soup.. truly I should've got up and walked out. The sandwich I chose was OK, but it was just thrown together. It looked like someone in the kitchen was just fed up and threw it on a plate. Unfortunately, the service too, was terrible. We waited for someone to come and get our drink order for over 10 minutes. And then didn't get anything for about 10 minutes after that. The tables were left untouched after other people left, making it look dirty in there. It was like a ripple effect. This was my first visit to Le Peep, because on the weekends it seems to be super busy. We went on a Tuesday afternoon around 1pm. We didn't have to wait. However, it did seem like we had to wait awhile for somebody to wait on us. The staff was friendly. The food was just okay. Maybe I should have got a breakfast item. I got the California Turkey sandwich. My son got the happy face pancake. He didn't really like it. It was very flakey and not much on the inside. The restaurant itself is very nice. I have come to Le Peep several times because it's close to home and my girls love their Funny Face pancake. The servers are all wonderful, always friendly. It's a shame that the kitchen and management seem to set them up for failure. They are always understaffed, it seems, for a restaurant with so many tables. I experienced a 30 minute ticket time for a salad and a pancake and when it came to table the salad was missing ingredients. Our very nice server ran back to get the two missing items (avocado and croutons) and the croutons came to the table stale and mushy with no crunch. My first two visits I ordered Benedicts. Both times the hollandaise was horribly split which is a shame because everything else about it was perfectly prepared. I love the staff and I want to love the food but shortcuts in the kitchen are messing up otherwise awesome dishes. And I'd love to see the staff be supported by have the appropriate number of servers for a packed Saturday brunch hour. read more

The waitress was extremely courteous and helpful. She provided recommendations and informed us of some items that are available but not on the menu. I ordered the 18-wheeler meal. This came with French toast choice of eggs and I got hash browns. My order came and after eating some, my eggs were cold and I noticed a hair in my food. The waitress was notified. She immediately apologized and took my food to replace it. When she returned the food was freshly made and hot. I had high hopes for this restaurant because it came recommended. The staff is friendly, prompt & kind. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the shrimp & grits, breakfast burrito, Apple Brie French toast, stuffed French toast & banana walnut pancakes. The shrimp & grits were the BEST we have EVER tried. They were yellow stone ground corn grits, had great texture, the gravy was so good and the shrimp were cooked to perfection. The breakfast burrito was perfect! It was a large portion and my husband ate every last bite! The apple Brie French toast, was indescribably delicious. It was literally one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. If you like apples and brie? Do yourself a favor and just order it. The stuffed French toast was so amazing there was no syrup needed. The custard it was stuffed with was creamy and delicious. The fresh strawberries it was topped with added a burst of freshness to the dish. The banana walnut pancakes were hearty and delicious. My wife did finally get her French Toast, and it was fun watching her eat it while I waited for my Desperado. Sir Benedict Omelet add Belgian Waffle - a filling plate of eggs that uses hollandaise sauce & some other creamy texture to break up the typical omelette experience. It comes with a side of potatoes to help stuff you up too. Definitely worth a try. The LumberJack Breakfast - is a plate of everything really. Bacon eggs, sausage & pancakes. Yummy, yummy, yummy My kids really like the Jr Chipper pancakes. They normally come with chocolate chips insider the pancakes and on top with powdered sugar and butter. My kids don't like anything on the top of their cakes, they just want to pick them up and eat, so we make sure to tell the wait staff and they get them perfect. Note for parents: the kids pancakes are huge. If you have hungry kids then they may finish them, but my two only ate one pancake each. I had the stuffed French toast this morning. They were good. We have visited and loved LePeep for a long time. When the management changed over a year ago, the quality of the food and customer service plummeted. During our last visit, the food was lukewarm or cool. Our favorite side dish, grits, has become a cold serving of mush. The waitresses expressed their own concerns with the issues in the kitchen: lack of attention to detail and few people for making food. When made correctly, the farmers Benedict is an excellent meal!
