This Starbucks bends over backwards for their online orders, walk-ins not so much. Often, I come in and the understaffed group is working furiously to fill their online orders. Today waited 5 min to order, 5 min for a coffee and then over 15 min for a pastry to be heated. Half way through the wait, I was given a gift card for my time. Twice during the wait I was told it's in the oven (it wasn't in the oven). Finally, I walked out because I needed to go to work. I understand the morning rush, but they need to find a way to service their walk in customers. read more

Service is always slow. Expect to wait over 15 minutes for your drink, even with mobile ordering in advance. Espresso drinks are always burnt and taste awful. Staff is rude to customers and would rather chat amongst themselves than help customers or make orders. Do yourself a favor and avoid this Starbucks - there are other better ones in Stamford or Norwalk. read more

The baristas here have absolutely no sense of what is happening at their store at any time, every time i come in here there is some sort of issue with my order, from things missing (or sold out but they choose to not say anything and let me pay and receive nothing) to them just completely forgetting my order altogether. The one time i went in to the store to mobile order i was met with the nastiest attitude. As someone working in food service myself it is not that hard to communicate with ur customers instead of just thinking oh well not my problem. do better. read more

When I ask them to make the drink correctly with lemonade, they give an attitude. I don't believe anyone is forcing these workers to work at Starbucks and I really don't believe the job is that hard. Great service from Irene! I am recovering from a broken ankle and did a mobile order. I have a boot and crutches I could have put on and crutched in. This Starbucks was nice. The main guy at the cash register was VERY friendly, but because of this, the line became very long and was slow moving. If he was a little quicker it would have been a better process. Also, I tried to use my phone app and ended up going to the bathroom as my drink was being made...turns out the payment didn't go through so my husband had to pay from our credit card so the line wasn't held up. This can be frustrating to us and others. Side note, the main road was KILLER and was so difficult to get in and out of this parking lot. We stopped in on the way through the area to NJ...so I don't plan on being in the area again. read more

Outstanding Customer Service I had a small PTSO committee meeting at this location last night. The young man on duty was so incredibly polite and accommodating, I thought it warranted a great review. Not only was the drink made properly, he even instructed me on the proper method for creating my PSL. He provided water for the entire committee (only 4 of us) and came around to see if we needed any further assistance. I agree with Christine- the parking is horrific. It does have amazing fresh black iced tea, and the pastries are great, but it's really too bad there are always flies in there when I go. It makes me not want to come back. I have also never experienced such rude clientele in a Starbucks in all of my life. People cut you in line, complain to the person making their drink etc. For some reason, THIS crowded starbucks tops the snobbery list-especially during reg. business hours. I even had a guy move the coffee table 2 feet towards his chair, when my 2 year old was sitting on it politely eating his donut. He didn't even wait 2 seconds for him to climb off or realize that maybe we had the table first. The only reason my son was sitting on the table in the first place is because there wasn't a chair for him. If you don't mind a great number of snobs in one location, then I say go for it. The only reason I go to this Starbucks is because it's convenient when I'm leaving work. Otherwise I can't stand all the idiot soccer stay at home moms who don't know how to drive their stupid range rovers and mercedes SUV's and INSIST on backing into parking spaces. There's never anywhere to sit and the lines are usually super long during the rush. This Starbucks may be slow, but it's one of the better Starbucks. Their drinks are usually well made, but there are times they don't listen to orders or the drink tastes subpar, which seems to be a standard thing amongst many Starbucks chains. The staff is very friendly and fast. They are open later than most SB's in the area which is nice. Make sure you bring a sweater, hoodie, or your snuggy, because it is always an ice box in there. The only thing they need to work on is attention to cleanliness. When looking at the chairs/walls/tables, etc, you can tell that management is not holding staff up to a higher standard. With a location this busy, it gets out of control fast, and they could benefit from having an outside service take care of it, or have the staff make more rounds on any down time. During peak times, the parking is ridiculous, so park across the street behind BSF. Yes, that means you will have to walk more than 50 feet and possibly be "pulled over" by Darien police for jay walking, if they are not already in hot pursuit of a 30 in a 25. read more

Not a huge coffee snob...just wanted a regular coffee and some breakfast food for my kids.....we are staying at a near by hotel. It took forever to get my food. We ordered chocolate chip Muffins and got blueberry. Then we ordered one breakfast sandwich and it was wrong, so they had to remake it. One of the best Starbucks in Fairfield County! Contemporary look and a good amount of seating. The staff here is awesome and the coffee is better than most other Starbucks I've been too. This could partly be due to the Clover machine they have here (some super fancy way of brewing coffee). They have a lot of different reserve coffees available as well as wireless charging for your mobile devices. Great spot! read more

We love the Starbucks they are so friendly and professional. Every time you walk and were greeted welcome back. They know our drinks by memory and always get it right. On the rare occasion that they do get it wrong they just take it make it again and give it to us and it's usually perfect. I love Starbucks I'm loyal to them I hate Dunkin' Donuts I think it's watery engrossed in their donuts are we still so don't bother going there. my favorite drink there is the zebra hot chocolate which is a mix of regular hot chocolate and white hot chocolate it's absolutely awesome. I normally visit the New Cannan Starbucks but I was in the Darien area today so I stopped by. This store is horrible! The garbages were overflowing, the bathrooms were disgusting, the person on bar was slow and rude. I order a white mocha with whip and when I asked him if there was whip on it he said yes but when I looked there wasn't so I asked him to put whip on it he completely ignored me and continued his conversation with the girl on register. Don't go here. I recommend taking the 10 minute drive to go to New Cannan or go to the Dunkin Donuts down the street. read more

I've come to this Starbucks a handful of time and while the service has never been great, it was horrible- until today. I was thrilled when I walked in and noticed no line. However, after placing my order I waited a considerable amount of time. I watched 6 mobile orders filled before me, and waited to say something until the person who ordered after me got their drink. When I asked if my drink was being made- I got confused and irritated looks as one said "sometimes you have to wait with mobile order". I explained I didn't mobile order and had been waiting a while. She asked around and no one could answer. 5 people behind the counter were laughing and really doing nothing until it was determined it was never started. No apology and to add to that- the person making my coffee got caramel all over the outside of my cup. Not impressed!! read more

I honestly feel bad for giving a Starbucks Coffee joint 2 stars because I LOVE their drinks, but I think I can justify my choice here reasonably. The parking here is horrific. The lot is just too small for such a popular place. I've seen people in cars drop off their passenger who runs in to get the coffee while the car is put in "park" and sits there, blocking a whole line of traffic because there's literally nowhere else for these cars to go. It's absolute mayhem and can give anyone, including myself, a mini panic attack. The store itself is also too small (I'm seeing a trend here...) so don't come in here expecting to get a table or comfy chair because chances are it's taken. Lines are painfully slow in the mornings so I try to go mid-day to avoid the rush. All in all, I love Starbucks, but I do not love their Darien location. read more
