Stopped by BonJo recently to kill some time. I ordered an iced chai and a broccoli cheddar quiche. The atmosphere is quaint with lots of space to work remotely. I'm giving three stars bc my chai wasn't made well. It was too milky and had to be remade (still didn't love it after) and the prices are on the higher end. So far I really liked it.. BonJo Coffee has a chill vibe .. The coffee is seriously good (delicious lattes), and the staff was friendly. The only thing was while she was making my drink. She was distracted by talking to her manager about some missing papers lol (I think the manager should've let her finish making my drink since I was the only customer in there and I was definitely on the go ..and made my latte take a little longer than usual lol but it made up for it on taste. Their pastries are really tasty too!! perfect with a hot drink. Definitely will be my go to coffee shop now. If you haven't been, you're missing out! Super clean bathroom always a plus! read more

I wanted to update my review a bit as I've visited many more times. They typically only have one person working, which is fine. However, because of it, you should definitely give yourself plenty of time, otherwise you will be late to wherever it is you're going. One another thing is even if I'm the first and only person there, somehow people who come in and order after me get their drinks way before me. I find that to be unorganized and messy. read more

I stopped into BonJo when I was looking for a cafe to work from while in Stamford. There were a couple of parking spots along the side of the building. I loved the decor inside as well as the friendly staff and the playlist. The shop has 6 tables but still feels spacious. I had the lavender matcha latte with oat milk. The lavender was light so it didn't overpower the matcha and paired well. I've added it to my list of spaces to frequent when in the area. read more

Totally hidden gem! I would have never stumbled across this place if we didn't have our puppy in daycare at Wagmore... and I'm sad I missed out on in for the first 5 years I lived and/or worked in Stamford. They are a roaster/producer for a large majority of Stamford restaurants... and they added a tiny little cafe to the store front. It's probably one of the best cups of coffee (as well as specialty drinks) around. It's way more limited than your typical Starbucks menu, but the coffee is better and (slightly) cheaper. Standard cappuccino is my go-to... the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable of. E history of the company, order time is quick & easy, and they have a small selection of pastries, breads and muffins that are delish! If you're in the area - go out of your way to grab a cup here... I promise it'll be worth it read more

I have visited this place for several months now and still torn about whether I enjoy this place enough to make it a daily ritual. The staff are definitely knowledgeable about their beans and willing to share their insights. Is it better than the chains...of course. However, the limited parking, few seating, and no accessible USB ports or outlets makes it a grab and go coffee stand for the most part. The selection of brewing methods is one of the reasons to swing by. I enjoy being able to pick my beans from approx 10 and choice of brewtique. I do not mind waiting for a good cup of coffee. Especially, a good French press. If you are in a rush, they do offer pre-brewed options. They are increasing their tea offerings and I would like to see a more extensive loose leaf tea selection (not blends or herbals). I probably would visit more should the space accommodate comfortability and workability (outlets). read more

I got a regular drip coffee, except that there was nothing "regular" about it. I drank it black, no sugar and was amazed at the dark complexities it offered. A coffee purist I can be on occasion for the exceptional brew, this was one such occasion. Miss Sarit got a salted-caramel-something-or-other and it knocked our socks off (I may have had one or seven sips to taste it...) as it came highly recommended by the staff. Located by the highway, with ample parking available this should be a must-stop, must-drink, must-have for everyone! Happened to be near this place today while running errands and spotted it open. I had drove by it a dozen times on the weekends or evenings but always was closed... Which leads to my only gripe... The hours! The bulk of the closings during the week appeared to be at 4pm. I'm sure they have their reasons but later hours would be awesome. That aside, I strolled in and was in love with the shop from the jump. It's a coffee lover's heaven and it is aesthetically pleasing to the eye as well. The woman behind the counter was very courteous and quick to get my Iced Mocha rolled out. The mocha itself was perfect; just the right blend of sweet from mocha mixing with the coffee. I inhaled it before I even started my car and blasted the AC. It was just what I needed, and the added benefit of it being iced just meant I could shotgun my caffeine fix and get on the road! Will definitely be back and try to catch it in the mornings or on the weekend. Really wish the hours were later but the quality is definitely worth getting in there! read more

Parking is very limited though, and there is usually only one barista behind the counter meaning they can get backed up quickly. This was some of the best coffee I've had in a really long time, and I really appreciate the care taken to brew it right. I also ordered a cinnamon muffin that was fantastic. Service was friendly and prompt as well. My only issues are the limited parking and lack of a restroom. No restroom and is really odd for a coffee shop, and would probably keep me from enjoying my coffee there at the shop. read more

And what a the area's most delicious latte costs is a surprise, considerably less than other vendors in the area! Baristas at Bonjo are quick and friendly. If I text my order, its ready for me when I arrive. The shop also sells roasted beans, many rather exotic. My morning cup of coffee is made with freshly ground Bonjo beans using the drip method. I never cared for coffee until I started managing a restaurant who prides themselves on it, and who else but BonJo Coffee Roasters to be our suppliers! I was lucky enough to have a special tour of the facilities and taste all the amazing coffee they had to offer and I was literally blown away. A family owned and operated business, with the most caring and passionate people behind it. Nothing but love, pride and dedication goes into their amazing products. The espressos are perfect, the lattes are topped with incredible artwork and the cappuccinos have the absolute most perfect foam you've ever seen. The beans are practically hand selected and the flavor that comes out is smooth, delicious and full of everything you want in a sip of coffee. Whenever I'm in Stamford (I live an hour away) I stop for a coffee but I always have their ground coffee in my house and it's what I start my day with every single day. I thought Starbucks was quality coffee and then I was introduced to this place by their best barista yet (Emily) and I'll never go back! If you're a coffee lover and even a slight (or complete) coffee snob this place will pass your test hands down. Don't much about coffee? Ask questions! This review comes from the perspective of a coffee snob; so take that in mind. I live in San Francisco, and mind-rocking coffee comes at a dime a dozen here; coffee baristas make up half the population here it seems ;) That being said, when I travel, I rarely expect to find good coffee - outside of big cities like Chicago, NYC, Seattle, etc.. In those cases, I usually have to "settle" for a cheap cup of Starbucks or whatever the city has to offer. I was pleasantly surprised to find a couple of places in Stamford that at least took a bit of pride in their coffee. This place is one of them. The Americano that I tried was definitely better than your average Starbucks Americano - the espresso tasted very fresh. However, it just didn't have the same "savory" "umami" characteristics I look for in my espresso drinks. Could be the fineness of the grind of the bean - it just didn't pack the punch of "umph" I look for in my morning coffee. Walked out of my way to grab this coffee (10 min walk from hotel). Not inspired to make the "out of the way" trek to grab coffee again during my future stays in Stamford. read more

I got tricked into go here bc if the rating so here's the reality... The coffee is fine. Prices are okay, maybe on the more expensive side. My main issue is the food is not great and there is no bathroom and the customer service is not what I'd expect from a "local" joint. I asked if I could use the bathroom and the guy said they don't have a bathroom for the public. No one was there but me. Just let me use the bathroom, guy. You're selling diuretics. What I also don't like is hearing loud house music playing with my morning coffee. It's too early for that. Dunkin' Donuts and Donut Delight are both a block away, you may be better off with one of them. They have coffee, bathrooms and better food for a reasonable price. read more

Fantastic find - went in for coffee and stumbled upon delicious gluten free pastries! I am not celiac, but sensitive to gluten, and found the apricot breakfast pie thingy to be absolutely delicious.
