I can't see that this Starbucks deserves such a low rating. My drink was correctly and well- made and everyone was friendly and busy. The tables-inside and out- had not been cleaned but when brought to the attention of the manager, he wiped down all of those inside...don't understand why it didn't occur to him to step outside and 'rinse and repeat' . It's not the most inviting atmosphere, but that's corporate's responsibility. I hope the staff becomes more aware of- or trained in- the importance of a clean seating environment and perhaps add some cheery seasonal embellishments to a stark and drab interior. read more

First Starbucks where I couldn't get my venti shaken tea in a Trenta cup with extra ice. Worker said they can't do that without charging me the Trenta size price because they only get a certain amount of Trenta cups. How about order more for your next supply delivery and anticipate how much cups your store will have to go through. Plus the service is bad and always late. With the amount of workers you have, everything is still moving like molasses in January, SLOW! I have mixed feelings about this Starbucks. On one hand, they've come along way in the last year or so. Their drive thru is quicker than it has been in the past. They are still inconsistent when it comes to preparing a drink properly. Everything tastes watered down. Dont ever order anything with foam or whipped cream because 1/3 of your cup, whatever the size, will foam/whipped cream and 2/3 actual drink. A requirement to work at Starbucks should first start with a degree from Starbucks Universty! read more

Just to be fair I have to say the place is busy, mostly with their drive through section, but they also have a lot of employees at work, so it should not be a problem to get the things straight. But they don't get it here. It was my worst visit of any Starbucks ever, worldwide. The Café Side of the Starbucks wasn't that busy, so we had three guests in front of us. I ordered my order of three items via mobile order. So I tried to jump the line - as the advertisement said. It looked good cause the barista just looked on the printed receipts and pulled my order. I got my hot sandwich fast, and after an absolute ok time, I got the first latte. Then I waited for over 10 minutes (i talked to my hubby and almost lost time, cause I thought she would call me), after that 10 minutes I looked if I had missed anything but no, nothing standing there and she had moved to another station and no barista was working the coffee machine. Two of the five (just felt that it was, I did not count them) baristas had a "private" talk in the back of the shop and I just grappled a free barista that came near me and asked "I am waiting for my third item of my mobile order" his answer was "I am sure she is working on it" and moved away. It was so obvious that he did not care, and that no one was working the coffee station. It takes another five minutes before the very same guy returned and started working on some coffees. And finally on mine. He just called my name without any more information or just a friendly word. To end this terrible stay I ordered a cake item with a separate order, that was not in stock at that time, what of course is absolutely ok and can happen. But it is the art of how you handle such situations. I felt as it was my fault, I got my money back but again that was it. No word of sorry or something. This cafe has been really busy and creating a lot of frappes and cold drinks while we have been there, and most of the people have worked hard, they also got a delivery at that time - but those two guys that worked our order wasn't in stress. It was a terrible feeling being a customer at this location, good that I have plenty of good teams around here. So I know it was a team issue. It also seems that the guy who did not check on my complaint was kind of the manager. I could not tell, cause his name was not to read. But from my side of view, I would say the problem here was a management problem. Or a leak of management. Several minutes later I felt bad for interrupting the barista bc she was clearly backed up but just had to ask about my order. She looked at me crazy and gave me attitude "I'll check". I'm not usually one to complain, however, after my experience here today, it's the only option I have. I'm hoping that this review will give Delano Starbucks inspiration for growth and improvement. I went to get some regular brewed coffee at 5:25AM. I'm not a regular at Starbucks and the only reason I went this morning (after the gym) was because I ran out of Keurig coffee. I ordered a Grande, Blonde, fresh brewed coffee (hot). To my surprise service was swift, almost unbelievably so. I grabbed my coffee from the barista in the drive-thru window, put it in my cup holder and started home. On the drive home I noticed a peculiar smell, almost metallic in nature. Either way I thought it was something hiding underneath a seat, not for a moment did I phantom that it was the coffee. I got home, grabbed my coffee, then I noticed it was colder than usual. I picked up the lid, and saw that the coffee was syrupy, almost the consistency of oil. It was dark black (if that's a color) and reeked of metal or something burned, just something I can't describe. I concluded that the coffee was old and I was disappointed that I was the victim of the over-night coffee cup! So, basically I was given coffee that had been sitting over night (hence, the coldness and stench). Unfortunately, I live in Delano and our Starbucks is fairly new and going back between the hours of 7am-8am (before work) is pretty much an all day engagement. So, I allowed myself to respond instead of react and I headed back around 10am when things usually settle down. Remember, I never had my coffee because 1) I ran out of keurig coffee and 2) I didn't want to drink, cold, bitter, day-old, oily coffee. I took the entire cup of coffee back to Starbucks (very much an inconvenience) hoping to at the very least get a hug, or something. Relax, I wasn't really expecting a hug, however, I was expecting a "I'm sorry for the inconvenience ma'am, what can we do to fix it?" A smile, some clue that any barista was eager to come up with a solution. Instead I got a "we never leave coffee over night, I have no idea what's wrong with your coffee, no I don't want to smell it." Not a sorry, not a smile, not a solution (even from the gal who may have been the manager, because she was called away from her laptop to fix my $2.45 cent problem). Here's what should have happened: "So very sorry your coffee wasn't fresh. I can give you a fresh cup now and a 2.45 credit so that when you come back in the morning you can have another fresh cup. I hope you weren't too inconvenienced and I'm glad we were able to fix the problem for you." Thank you for being so patient and understanding. Have a great day!" When it comes to customer service, sorry goes a long way. Join the ranks of your fellow franchises and grab a smile, some understanding, and be solution based. The absolute worst Starbucks! Do not go here! You will wait FOREVER. Waited 20 minutes just to place an order, and 30 minutes later still dont have our drinks. The barista randomly chooses drink orders from the line up and makes whichever he pleases. Then the employees hogged up theb line trying to use their discount to order stuff. Although this Starbucks serves a full menu of items, and the staff are rather knowledgeable about making drinks, I have to complain about the ambiance of this particular location (Glenwood St). I came in Friday afternoon (7/28) with my young children to get them some refreshments, and upon entering I was dismayed by the awful choice of music that was playing inside. The staff was playing rap music that was laced with all kinds of profanity, nothing I wanted my kids to hear especially when we planned on staying. To make it worse, the music was very loud. Clearly the shift manager was not there, otherwise these inconsiderate baristas would not dare have this music playing. Or maybe the shift manager was there and didn't care. A gentleman did approach one of the staff to ask if the music could be changed because there were children in there. I saw that the barista said something flippant under his breath but did change the music and turned it down some. Apparently, the staff is immature and unprofessional to even be working at Starbucks and certainly have no respect for their customers, their shift manager, and the Starbucks tradition of service. They either should be retrained with emphasis of customer service in mind or simply let go of their jobs. read more

The worst Starbucks or for that matter ANY place I've ever been. There were plenty employees working however the average drink order took 15 minutes. They were extreamly slow, extreamly rude, and extreamly inaccurate. Order after order was returned for not being correct. Employees would take the incorrect order and dump them down the drain only to start over and hold everyone up that much longer. I never heard an apology either. Poor customer service. You could drive there and back almost as fast as waiting here. When I ordered it, the gal taking the order was fine and nice....however I hear this blonde one who I suppose is the manager telling her no. WTF???? The nice gal said she was sorry, but she had told me okay. So I got this tiny cup with barely a squirt in it. The cup was so small, my dog's tongue wouldn't even fit. Seriously???? I guess this is the only Starbucks they have in this town, so it gets packed.. like, really packed. It's located in a tiny plaza, limited parking, and the drive thru line blocks cars from entering and leaving. When I came here, I ordered an iced venti half of this, half of that, no water, light ice, add this + X amount of pumps of whatever (I swear, it really wasn't a difficult order at all). They handed me two drinks to let me taste and decide which one tasted right. Neither of them did, they were the same. As a matter of fact, it wasn't even close to what I had asked for. It literally was a passion tea with however many pumps of whatever the hell it was. It seems like the "baristas" here seem to freak out and don't know what to do when you present them with a "complicated" order, then fuck up your drink. So if you like your drinks customized? Forget about it.. at least at this location. Idk, I guess I'm just accustomed to not have to continuously repeat myself x-amount of times and still have my order come out wrong.
